   In an alternate time_line Art kept in touch with me. He got to the bottom of his question "Why would they write 1970?", everyone got their fidgets, I toured the country calling in from payphones... putting people on the air with Art, while giving away free fidgets.
   Then there was the utopian delusional time_line... Art realized that "free time machines" was a pretty good promotional hook... he met with me, evaluated my documentation, and lifted his 19 year old blacklisting. The New York Times did a story about it, people flocked to the subscription page to get a free time machine, and we were all "vaguely lovable" after all. It was great. He even read the comic book.
   
But alas, what we have is the ostrich time_line.

Merely considering it makes my skin crawl.  I'm amazed that anyone in her position made it a month without ending up in a straight jacket.  If I were in that position, and the bosses I was torching my sanity for didn't thank their lucky stars to my courage and resilience throughout this wicked shit storm, I'd probably go Full Metal Jacket on every poor fucker who stumbled into my sights.

I am not a Keith Fan. At first I thought DMDN was Arts Network...I was probably the only one that thought that.  I supported MITD and OSOM for what I thought Art was trying to do, and to help support the people that supported Art. When I found out that it was Keiths network, I stayed on to enjoy the rapport on the live bellgab threads.  As time went on, it seemed to me that the whole thing was set up for a goal that was different than the one I thought.  I have a few theories on that which I will keep to myself.  Everybody makes their own decisions, and seems to me quite a few people made poor decisions.  There have been people leaving the ship even since before Saucy Rossy.  Problems exist to this day.  There must be more to it than we will ever know.  Whatever the plan was, it seems to have been poorly thought out, and badly executed.  Some people may blame those that did not praise heather, for her floundering now, while others may blame those who gave her a false sense of confidence in being a perfect substitute for Art on the MITD show.  There's plenty of blame to go around.  I have a feeling, from what I've read here and there, that there are many requirements to being accepted as a broadcaster on the DMDN.  Too bad .......It closed off many great options that could have made the network a success IMO.  Limiting your options, reduces your backups, and thus your possibilities of success. IMO Listeners that like to poke fun at your production, could very well constitute half the possible subscriptions.  People ask why do you subscribe and listen if you are only going to post criticism.  Well, those who subscribe because they enjoy posting criticism, could well constitute half your income.  Why send half your income away, by sending the critics away?  Never made any sense to me.........but what do I kow?
