Let run the numbers.  At the end of Q2, Norry was at 2.2 on the streaming list.  At the end of Q3, Norry was at 1.8 on the streaming list.  2.2-1.8=.4 Decrease from Q2 to Q3.

At the end of Q2, Art was not the streaming list, so he was 0.  At the end of Q3, Art was at .7 increase from Q2 to Q3.

Norry = .4 Decrease

Art = .7 Increase

Art is winning.  Go Art!  Numbers don't lie.

Art is working on radio.  Norry is chasing reality TV shows and it shows.
Yes.  This is great news.  We're coming for 'em!

Well that's true too
"of course", "indeed it is" and "how do you do what you you, I mean, uh, you are inspired, em, to do the things you do? What did you,uh, it started, for you? You are committed! To do what you do?"

Hey Bellgabbers- here's a good yuk for y'all-

Dave  played Abba's Waterloo and then said, "The producers of the movie Martian must listen to this show because "our bumper music is all over that movie."  ;D

I'm not even surprised.  Dave hasn't had an original thought in his life.

Found this funny, Art burying Snorry in this website's poll: http://www.conspiria.net/talkduel/
Of course.  Snorey really tries to imitate Art.  He listens to Art's show, mimics his words, and has nothing creative to add on his own.  He knows his days are numbered and is creating money making schemes to pile up as much as he can while he still can.

Sounds pretty smart.

That site makes this statement:
"They are both legends in their own right. The absolute heavyweights of late night talk radio. "

Should be: one is a true legend and heavyweight, the other is a legend only in his own mind and is a featherweight of talk radio...  8)

though Norry does know how to kick feathers and how far they go. (Recall his fundamental misunderstanding of physics during a RCH's example?) A classhitc Norry.

I kind of have to give Noory a pass on that one, though Dick's response and Noory's subsequent ignoral were classic.  Afterall, if you kick a feather it might end up behind you.  The piano won't go anywhere.

Ha, yeah. But I've love those Norryism compilation youtubes. They are classhic.

Turmeric does wonders for hair. ::)

Below, I will imagine what the average  90% of email Dave receives looks like. (This is assuming this is part of the 90% of angry mail, and not the remaining 10% composed of: spam, Falkie love letters, and youtube links Tommy sends) I invite you to role-play with me and imagine what Dave's emails look like.

"Typical email to Dave Jorchy":

This sad cunt Dave "George Noory" Jorchy... He makes me want to vomit. I can't fathom how stupid and complacent the network filth at PremRat must be to allow this cheap pimp to privately profit off a job they pay him for on their time. Do any of them even listen to the sewage that sloughs out of Dave's mouth?

To this day, I amazed that the audience thinks Dave even cares about any of this. Dave is just here to make money so he can buy more cheap booze to slur his way through another show, appearance, or episode. The rest is spent on seducing large women at his local IHOP.

Can you imagine being Dave though? Every week your network has to play decade+ old episodes of your predecessor's shows to keep some semblance of an audience. You aren't a journalist Dave. You are nothing more than an informercial people stuck driving over night listen to. You have to piggy back off the histories of even the most loathsome guest to pretend to have a career.

God knows what underworld connections or black mail put you in your seat, with that dying pig Tommy and the rest of your hateful corporate staff. Maybe it was angels? Either way, the fact that you continue to be a pretender to a throne is beeond beweef.

Eat a dick you mustachioed fucker,

sNoory was discussing the nearly 1500 light-year distant star KIC 8462852 that's been in the news. He went on to say other media thought it was aliens who had built a Dyson sphere, a device designed to capture the energy of a star for whatever purpose(s) they deemed worthy for their advanced civilization. He made a big deal about the other media going overboard and not being levelheaded by rushing to a conclusion.  Georgie thinks there's a scientific explanation for that situation.  sNoory mentioned they'd tried to contact this Jason Wright and have him on the show, but Jason had declined the invitation. Maybe he was tired of talking about the object, or he had been wise enough to first read this thread. I'm guessing the latter.

I quote the sNooron verbatim: "Another possible story, I think, has been blown out of proportion. When you want to get the truth you just come here to C2CAM."

Hmmm, sounds like what George needs is a Science Advisor.

I wonder where George could find a delusional condescending wanker willing to take the job?  Ideally someone with radio experience, available to be on-call every night, in love with the sound of their own voice, full of (un-disprovable) shit, and able to blather unprompted for multiple segments while George takes a nap?

Hahaha.  Right.  Is Dave just delusional or an outright pathological liar?  I'd say both.

I listened to a bit of the "open lines" segment of the show and one call caught my attention. An elderly woman told Dave about her desperate situation. She mentioned the "new age" teachings of various quests and mentioned Dr. Wayne Dyer specifically as her inspiration to try and help others and make the world better. Unfortunately for her, she was taken advantage of by people to the tune a $28,000 or more of her savings. She had expected good to return to her and kept telling those seeking her help that she needed to be paid back right away. She didn't listen to friends who warned her that people were taking advantage of her. Over the years, she drained her savings thinking that the "positive" would return to her. It didn't. Now she cannot afford to stay in her home and it sounded like she would become homeless. She was asking George for advice on how to get voice over work- not sure if she had experience or not. George had her repeat a few lines to see how she would do. She obviously lacked the job skills needed. George did graciously offer to have Tommy give her advice and for her to "stay on the line".

I'm not saying that George is to blame for her situation- she made those choices, but too many people take these concepts too literally. Yes you can make the world better by kindness without putting yourself in jeopardy. Maybe a disclaimer is in order. Some people don't understand that these are theoretical/abstract concepts that don't always translate into practical applications. This is why people need to have a sceptical approach to these topics. Bad advice, no matter how prettily it's packaged, is still bad advice. People can and are hurt by it.  >:( :(

There are various promoters of these ideas ranging from new age philosophers to religious persuaders to full-blown brainwashing success cults, but the core idea keeps cropping up again and again, and people just keep buying into it.  "Just plant a seed, and it will blossom and come back to you ten-fold."  (This seed-planting is often suggested in the form of a significant donation or book/cd/dvd series purchase of said idea merchant.)

The concept is seductive as it has a grain of truth to it, and we'd all like it to be a dependable law of the universe.  But the truth is if you want to help others by supporting their cause, then do it because you care about it, not because you ever expect to get anything back from it.  I try to support people/organizations/causes I believe in when I can, not because I think I'll benefit directly, but simply because I don't want to live in a world where there's no compassion or support or hope.  So I do what little I can so I don't feel powerless - but I don't ever expect any personal gain out of it.  Heck you're lucky if you even get a 'thank you'.

I heard that too last night and Noory also referred to other radio/internet show hosts making a big deal out of this story, believing it was created by ETs.  Obviously he was trying to put down Art Bell and claim his show is the only one that gives the truth...  :o

Morgus

Last night, Noory did his usual sneaking out early on Friday night by replaying some boring reading he recorded years ago of an Edgar Allen Poe story.
He probably wanted to get out of there early to go by a 7/11 to pickup his after show sandwich snack?

Excellent post, zeebo. An act of kindness can make a big difference for someone. Shame on the "prosperity preachers" and the new age gurus of the same ilk.
