I will admit that I believe* that I would probably just walk to my death.  I don't want to die- but at a certain point there is no point in fighting (like when you are surrounded by 100 ISIS armed ISIS members in an unfamiliar country.)  Why make death longer, more drawn out, more painful and less dignified?

What a tough idiot- he's my hero as he would undoubtedly take at least 10 people with him being the tough guy he is.  Or he would end up castrated live and slowly beaten to death while he bleeds out to serve as an example.

*I don't think that anybody can know for certain how they would actually react until placed in those circumstances.

I'm with you on the whole thing. I think of what I would do if I was in the position of being held captive for a year, or more while being tortured nonstop... and think death would be very welcome. Even if you got away where the hell are you going to go? Needless to say I think Jorch has been watching too much Rambo, and not enough of The Deer Hunter. War is fucking war, and will mess up the toughest of people.

I'm actually tempted to turn it back on for the comedy.  Where I am he is only half an hour into the show and I could catch all of the laugh worthy moments.  Sadly, tomorrow is a very early day and I should probably just enjoy reading about it and head off to sleep...

Even the fact that he can be so sure of his reaction tells me he is incapable of thinking this through or that he thinks that he appears tough when he blathers on about it.  Either way, the man is a jackass.  He is basically saying that the people in those videos are weak or cowards by insinuating that they should be fighting.
