I usually like Howard Bloom, but I felt like he went off the rails tonight raising red flags on the Iran deal.

I don't have any problem with Howard Bloom questioning the Iran deal if what he said is true. Just because he is a Democrat does not mean he has to carry their water for everything the Obama Administration does.  I have two questions regarding what he said though


1.In regards to Israel, I have no doubt the right and the Jewish Religious parties oppose this deal, but is opposition as thorough across the spectrum as he says?  He mentioned the one member of one of the two centrist parties and I know there is one prominent Zionist Union (Labor) M.P who opposes it, but  do they speak for their parties or are they speaking for themselves?

The inspections process begins on page 42. I can find no mention that Iran can limit access to any facilities, but, as Bloom said, Iran can take up to three weeks to respond to 'verify the absence of any missing nuclear materials and activities inconsistent with the agreement'  I guess they can ultimately refuse, but any refusal would lead to allowing the other parties to begin placing sanctions back on Iran.  So, those opposed to the deal will likely have to areas of complaint that may be legitimate:
1.The three week holdup. It should be noted however, as best as I can tell, Iran has three weeks to respond to concerns over missing nuclear materials and the like, it seems they don't have three weeks to hide nuclear materials or other activities should the inspectors get suspicious over specific activity at a specific site.


2.The concern over whether the sanctions, once lifted, could ever be practically reimposed.


The opposition to the deal makes a great deal of a 'much wealthier Iran' actively pursuing a nuclear program.  But, Howard Bloom mentioned North Korea successfully making nuclear missiles (albeit with Pakistan's help.) Well, North Korea's economy is a basket case and that didn't stop them and Iran has allegedly already been pursuing nuclear weaponry with all the nuclear scientists they have even with the sanctions.  So, would Iran becoming 'much wealthier' actually make any difference?  I personally doubt it, though I am open to being persuaded otherwise.

Listened to a few minutes of Bella-Haven last night, NB said the Snorge had commissioned her at one point to ghost-write a novel about a time traveler.  The main characters name was to be 'Nero Blaze'.

People realized the name was awful, and demonstrated a complete lack of creativity and tone deafness on his part, and tried to talk him out of it - but he insisted.
