I really want to get to Banff, it is on my bucket list.

I buy a seasons pass every year that allows me to ski 5 areas in Colorado, 3 in Lake Tahoe, Canyons in Utah and several smaller areas in the Midwest and Eatern US, (some in Europe too) so it is hard to justify buying lift tickets for another resort.

I know I would be welcome in Canada. Always was every time I've been. Well, except that one time me and my roommate went to the Stanley Cup finals at the Forum and he was wearing a Flyers jersey. 😎
The Forum could get rough, but was a fantastic building.  I was there the night they retired Guy Lafleur's jersey.  Sat next to Rejean Houle, in the Molson company seats behind the Habs bench.

Fuck, I feel old now.

Fair enough.  I'm not gonna let his shit slide, though.  We're made of tougher stuff up here.  ;)

Won't let supposed racist talk slide by on bellgab.

Won't lift a finger or even show outrage when his own country imports, and financially supports adult muslim men to bring in their 10 year old child brides to rape torture and abuse.

Awesome priorities.

Carry on.

I hope it stays nice long enough to set the beds and get the dirt in. Then (don't let my wife see this) I hope it gets a bit rainy, otherwise I have to paint the front deck.

If you have to paint the spindles as well, I hope it blows a damn hurricane out your way.

Painting spindles = what a bite

I have huge raised beds already built, but I have to till everything up and add in my soil amendments. Veggie seedlings are doing well though. Putting in 28 heirloom varieties of tomato this year. And buying several goats.

I used to raise registered dairy goats.  Toggs and Nubians.

We're not sure what breed yet, but we just want some around as pets. My GF loves goats and used to raise them.

I have no idea what Trump would do in his first year. Anybody who thinks they know is kidding themselves. He is that unpredictable. And when you consider the reaction, counter-reaction, counter-counter-reaction to whatever wacko statement he might make or action he might take, almost any chain of events becomes possible at home or abroad.

I'm not going to play the game of trying to guess how his brand of nuttiness would be expressed in terms of policy or anything else. It's a pointless and futile discussion. And it's enough to understand that giving the wrong person the power of the presidency is a disaster waiting to happen. I give you credit for understanding the point I am making.

This is why people get frustrated in these type of discussions. You call me out and imply that I'm on the verge of being extremist and when I try to engage you in a real conversation- you side step the question by throwing in some comments that really say nothing. They reveal nothing about what you fear.

I don't understand your point because I'm not sure you made one.

You said, "Fascist"

I asked, "How so?"

And it seems that you've replied, "Never mind."

It's still a bit nebulous.

The party needs to unite behind Trump for the good of the party, other key races and the American people. Its pretty obvious that is what needs to be done, if establishment folks like Rick Scott are calling for it.

I agree.  There is one-third of the senate up for reelection and the entire House of Representatives. If they don't back Trump (if he is the nominee) they will lose both houses due to straight party voting.

People who post Hitler type videos to make a political point tend to be extremists or immature in some way. When you post that kind of stuff to make whatever point, your post will look like theirs, whatever your intentions. This seemed out of character for you, so I questioned it, particularly since there was no explanatory text.

Now you seem determined to know how or why I feel intuitively and based on my experience in life that a President Trump would be dangerous, and why I think he is an authoritarian and possibly fascistic figure. This has all been discussed and analyzed endlessly in the media and you can assume that I would say just what has been said by the majority of the more astute Trump critics. My judgement is that they are right about him.  Read Politico, for example, and you'll know what his critics are saying both on the left and the right (and in the middle).

Nobody can prove to you at this point that he would be dangerous, if that's what you're looking for. I suggest that you try tuning to a different wavelength and maybe you'll start picking up the same signals that other people are. More importantly, you may be able to decipher them better instead of being tempted to rationalize the innocence of their source.

If you notice, I do note quote any of KoKs posts. I think he is a fucking troll, a racist and the lowest form of life on the forum. I responded to you, and your posts, and I believe they were all appropriate responses.
That one got me out the kitchen  :D. Psst. Grav. Don't drink anything here tonight

Good read from an unabashed conservative:

"I don't judge every Trump supporter as being a racist. But this is the truth: A lot of racists support him, and he only denies them when absolutely pressed, and with the softest language in his vocabulary. This is the truth: He knows that racism and xenophobia are animating sections of his supporters and is making absolutely no effort to stop it."

Trump is an embarrassment. He disgusts me to my core. If you have an ounce of respect for any female in your life, how could you ever support this pig?

Thanks for that article.
His "grandfather made this country great" line, brought a tear to my eye.

Yeah.  Your country is full of stories like this family's.  It's a special place.

Well, there`s no doubt The Clown has locked down the white supremacist vote. Just one more example of many:

Every 107 seconds.  World leaders in rape.

USA!  USA!   'Murica, fuck yeah!

I know the US has tons of problems, so the importation of more will help solve them. The open-border policy, amnesty schemes, the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act, and the important of Muslims without vetting has really had a bad effect. Not to mention the horrible legacy of slavery.  But I'm sure importing more illegals and Muslims, often uneducated and holding backwards views with no desire or knowledge of tolerance, civility, or values of a multi-cultural society (which normally leftists laud) will help improve things!  :o
"Diversity is our strength"- at least when it comes to leading the world in some crimes, imprisonment, performance on tests, etc.

Heh, so a white supremacist randomly shows up at a rally and that's news, but Ted Cruz hangs out with a pastor that wants execute gay people and he never disavows the guy and that's not news. Well, it will be if he gets the nomination ...

I saw that news item re: Cruz, and was surprised it didn't get more coverage.  Shameful stuff.
