People who post Hitler type videos to make a political point tend to be extremists or immature in some way. When you post that kind of stuff to make whatever point, your post will look like theirs, whatever your intentions. This seemed out of character for you, so I questioned it, particularly since there was no explanatory text.

Now you seem determined to know how or why I feel intuitively and based on my experience in life that a President Trump would be dangerous, and why I think he is an authoritarian and possibly fascistic figure. This has all been discussed and analyzed endlessly in the media and you can assume that I would say just what has been said by the majority of the more astute Trump critics. My judgement is that they are right about him.  Read Politico, for example, and you'll know what his critics are saying both on the left and the right (and in the middle).

Nobody can prove to you at this point that he would be dangerous, if that's what you're looking for. I suggest that you try tuning to a different wavelength and maybe you'll start picking up the same signals that other people are. More importantly, you may be able to decipher them better instead of being tempted to rationalize the innocence of their source.

My true interest in posting here is to gain an understanding of your position, but each time I've asked you about your personal concerns, you say he's dangerous and anyone can see this. You haven't covered to whom or in what way. Dangerous depends on your perspective. Who is he dangerous to? I imagine he is seen that way by people who want to break our laws by entering the country illegally. I also imagine that companies who want to move their operations out of the US also see his talk about tariffs to be dangerous. I imagine the neocons consider him dangerous, too- after all, war is a business. Most of all, I imagine the political establishment who would like to keep the status quo see him as their biggest threat in this election cycle. Funny how people who were at each other's throats a few short weeks ago are now banding together in solidarity against him.

I've given a few examples of my personal perspective. I have yet to see you express yours in any of your responses. You told that I should, here's your quote: “assume that I would say just what has been said by the majority of the more astute Trump critics.” Am I also to assume that if these critics change their minds that you will follow suit? As my mother used to say, “If they jump in the lake- are you going to jump in, too?” I'm assuming... yes?

In a conflict, I'm determined to come to an understanding of the opposing point of view. If we understand one another we can move the conversation forward. I'm not interested in Politico's POV or the 24/7 news cycles- I am interested in the people who hold strong personal views.

In conclusion, I count this as a failure on my part to engage you in a deeper conversation.

What I did learn is that posting a video that was completely self explanatory can get me labeled as an extremist simply because of the villain featured in it. The guy created the video solely to challenge the assertion that “Trump is literally Hitler”. That's all it was and I thought he presented it very well. Really simple and really not open to much misunderstanding, unless you really have an agenda and use it as a good excuse to be outraged. Why else would a person comment on something they didn't watch? I also learned that if I don't agree with you, my sensibility is questioned. Sad but isn't this the way conflict and misunderstandings are perpetuated? It's an amazing coincidence â€" I always tend to lose my sensibility when I disagree with someone here. It's one of my personal failings that I'll just have to work on.

I'll be sure to advise my husband, when he goes in for his next haircut, to avoid the 'Trump' or the 'Hitler' hairstyles and go for the Giorgio T. He'll always have that just rolled out of bed look. (for those who don't get this - it's a nod to the barber joke in the video)

I had a crazy thought.
What if Trump asked Sanders to be his running mate, and he agreed.
The whole dem/repub establishment would implode.

It'll never happen in a thousand years but that's also what I said when I first heard our current president's name.

It would be pretty great.

Get rid of the illegal immigrants who work well below market value and only the rich business owners benefit.  Which will also substantially lower the crime rates and increase quality of life for Americans.

Strengthen our southern borders with a wall which will increase our safety and decrease illegal drugs and immigrants into our country.

Re-negotiate better trade deals that benefit Americans and not politicians.

Increase access to higher education and be on a path that soon higher education will be free.

Dismantle our "for profit" privately owned jails.

Greater regulation and over site on Wall St and the banking industry.

De-escalate our police from becoming Para-Military organization, and with greater over site and increased training.

Never going to happen, lol also not sure how you will decrease over all crime with less prisons and disarmed police.

Not that I would be for a Trump/Sanders ticket, mind you.  It was just a crazy thought.  It would actually probably discourage me from voting for Trump, which I might otherwise do if I voted at all.  The only guy I really supported (Ron Paul) isn't running.  He's too old and that train left the station already.  Too bad his son dropped out.  He's not his dad, but he was closer than anybody else.

But all the Bernie dupes would vote for Trump if Bernie was on the ticket.  They'd vote for Felix the Cat if Bernie told them too, they don't care.  They'll do whatever he says.  It would be a really weird ticket.  Trump's a nationalist and Bernie's a socialist.  Wait, didn't they try National Socialism somewhere once?  I don't remember anymore, probably not important.

Lower crime rates stem from the removal of 10+million illegal immigrants.

I didn't mean to give the impression of saying less prisons, I meant to end the "for profit" aspect of privately owned jails.

I also didn't say to disarm police.

That would make a dent in crime but you also have to take into account white trash and blacks, and what else would you mean by " para military " if you dont mean their weapons and surplus iraq war gear?

You will have to get rid of the CIA first.

Haha yea we all know if trump or anyone for that matter tried to shut down the CIA they would end up getting the JFK Dallas treatment.

I find you unnecessarily argumentative and difficult to deal with on this subject, for whatever reason. You know durn well what the prevailing concerns are about Trump's character and personality. You don't need me to spell them out for you once again so that we can argue them point by point. You like him? You vote for him. That's your right.

His policies, btw, are the least of the problem, since they have changed so often and are so unanchored in any set of political principles as to be worthless. If you can't see a con man or a looney tunes coming, you need more help than I can give you on an internet forum. It's a skill set and a set of senses most people have developed over time and through experience. It also supersedes the usual political arguments, since character issues are much more critical than flavors of political philosophy when choosing a president.

It's honestly troubling to me the amount of people that die by the hands of the police.  It's troubling to me how often the Police use excessive and aggressive force with no other thought in how to de-escalate the situation.

I think part of the reason is outfitting them with Military gear and creating a culture that the people in the areas they patrol are the enemy.  This is just my speculation and opinion.

I am not blaming individual police officers, I am just concerned about the overall environment of the system the Police are in.

I honestly don't think police should be allowed to work over-time, nor do I believe they should work 40 hours.  In a job that stressful, sans traffic police, you should have ample time off.

It's frustrating as hell to be Police Officer.  I could never be one.  I would want to shoot 80% of the people I would come into contact with.

Police are human.  Expecting them or allowing them to work long hours, constantly having to deal with criminals and scum only leads to terrible incidents.

The problem in america is the " fuck da police" sentiment of the last few decades has decreased the number of applicants, and over all pc police chief's that dont actually have their officer's backs doesn't help either, while i do believe there should be oversight on police agencies, i dont agree with how things are now, a cop shots some asshole trying to kill him and the officer ends up getting jailed. When it comes to weapons what choice do they really have? If every redneck, gang member, drug runner etc are packing high caliber weapons, its only natural that the police will arm up, just as they always have.

I would have fun watching the chaos!

Holy shit.

Megyn Kelly just had two spokespersons from the Black Lives Matter crew who participated in the Chicago protests and Herman Cain who supports Trump to discuss Trump and freedom of speech.

What a blood bath.

Herman Cain shut them down so brilliantly and by the end even Megyn Kelly was blasting them for being uniformed and spouting gibberish.

What in the Hell is wrong with Drumpf?? What a sick fucking pig this guy is.

As a Trump supporter I like help advertising my candidate and keeping the thread fresh!

I guess after Ted Crud not winning a single state last Tuesday, the media and his supporters realized what a loser he is and have given up talking about him or covering him.

More space for Trump!

Who do you think is going to get the nomination at the convention? Romney, Yeb or someone else? Rush thinks they're going to hand it over to Yeb.

I think that would cause violence at the convention and be the end of the Republican Party as a mainstream party.

Rush is a blow hard idiot.

There isn't a Hell's chance of the establishment having a contested convention when there is a clear leader in delegates and popular votes.

The "establishment" is damaging themselves more by trying to stop Trump then by working with him.

If they don't start working with him and supporting him, voters will see it as a betrayal and will most likely work to ouster as many establishment candidates as they can in the next election cycle.

The U.S. blue collars have been enduring so-called "Free Trade" for decades now.  There is nothing fair about "Free Trade" when the players are competing on unequal grounds.  Sure, ship jobs to China, Mexico, where you can exploit near-slave labor, with few if any environmental, occupational, health, or safety regulations and not have to worry about compensating tariffs for goods coming back into the U.S.  Why not just exploit U.S. prisons?  Or would that violate their rights.

What a screwed-up situation and you have the D.C. mafia and corporate lobbyists to thank.  I don't blame the blue collar labor force for rebelling.  Now if only they don't screw themselves over with the self-serving union mafias once again.  ::)

Why does Drumpf lie so frequently and so blatantly?  What kind of mental illness compels a person to be constantly deceptive??

Sure, he just seems to say the first thing that pops into his head.  You don't get the impression that he'd be good at looking at research and plotting strategy.  He shoots from the hip.  Yeah, the Bible is his favorite book.

I don't really trust him, and I can't help my mind slipping back to Hitler doing false flag operations to solidify his base.  I'm wondering who sent his son that white powder.  Could have been either side in this shindig.

I actually think the protesters will bring more support for Trump in the long run. He's getting all the press coverage.

If you could ever get Trump to lie down on a certain couch, you might get some definitive answers as to why he does what he does. As things stand, the lies, the deception and the constant psychological manipulation of his followers are the things to focus on. I don't care about what made Trump what he is, or what the diagnosis is, just about keeping him out of the Oval Office.

What amazes me is how many people think free trade is a "conservative" principle. I guess it's been repeated by Mark Levin enough times that they buy into it, but it has always been a left wing liberal position and still is. It's one of the few areas where both parties agree. You'd think people would notice that and wonder why . . .

That's why I wonder so much about Ted Cruz. If he's such a constitutionalist, then why isn't he advocating that the Federal Government be funded through tariffs?

Maybe true. But whether you're talking about existing supporters or new ones, the responsibility for supporting and voting for him is all theirs. Their decision, their responsibility. Likewise for the consequences of their decision.
