Second Half: Exopolitics pioneer Michael Salla talks about Gene Roddenberry and Star Trek, secret space programs, and ET contact.

Salla told his usually stories about multiple US space battle fleets that have been around as far back as the 1960s, and that the US has had working relationships with various alien races for some time.  He later, in response to a caller's question, repeated the oft told story of the US not going back to the moon after Apollo because we were warned off by aliens.  How does a PhD in foreign/international relations and global conflict resolution not see an obvious disconnect in those two stories?  Why would aliens be concerned about tiny, unarmed NASA craft going to the moon when they know we have heavily armed "kilometer long space battle cruisers" within the multiple secret space battlefleets that have been cruising throughout the galaxy?

He has went the way of the slide rule.

At least a slide rule can still provide accurate facts.

Some caller called in who said he was running for Senate in W Va and some court case just happened so he can get on the ballot (and was agreeing with Rappaport/Norry on vaccines, global warming, etc.) I'm not 100% sure but I think it is this guy. His website is very C2C-guest esque and he seems quite a character. I'm sure he will cruise to an easy victory.

I don't know if I ever heard Noory just dump a guest. Somebody from corporate must have been screaming into his headset to shut him down.

what happened?  i was half listening and then it was over.. did he swear or something else?

The guest was boring and didn't talk much about his scheduled subject anyway, so no loss.
Sounded like the guest used some bad language or something but Noory said he was thankful for his "dump" button so it didn't get out on the air.
Noory wants his show to be "G-rated" so he probably has banned that guest forever now...

Noory hit the button a couple of times because of cursing but I think it was more the derogatory comments he was making about others like Charlie Rose. I forget who else.

WTF I was listening about 20 minutes ago and thought the old guy was kinda cool. So he got dumped? wow I guess I wont try to listen. I was kinda looking forward to what he had to say. He didn't strike me as a type of guy that would curse. dang

He made some pretty snarky comments about other people in the industry and I am sure Noory was told to cut it short. It was not a smooth departure. Noory said something like "because of his language and .... some other things he said".

He also said Byron Allen of "Real People" was one of the dumbest people in the industry, or something like that. I think he also said something about Bud Yorkin being a heavy drinker. Having a guest make comments like this using the real names of well-known people probably exposes the show to a liability issue.

No one at PremRat is listening to George's show

One thing about George is he doesn't criticize others in the industry and is more than polite to them and talking about them.  He couldn't have been too happy and either dumped comments or Tommy knew to do so - then decided to dump the guest.

Plus, "no fuss'n and fight'n."  Jorch has to keep Ma Noory sedate.  Jorch has dumped guests before for being a little too rowdy.

The interview was done after the guest quoted a person in the industry who referred to Richard Pryor as a "nigger."  Then Noory blurted out "John! I'm going to have to stop the interview.  Your language is out of control..."

Not doubting you, but I am curious how you know that.  Were you on hold listening to the real time interview vice the tape delayed version that goes out over the air?

Shay P = Tommie?

I was listening live. I knew John Barbour was going to get cut loose because he wouldn't disparaging and even outright slandering prominent entertainment industry people. Noory said he was pulled because of language but I didn't notice any dumps. The sound never cut out, no playing catch up and I certainly didn't hear him say "nigger".

Thanks. I just missed it. I was listening at that part but I just didn't hear him say that word at the time. I knew he wasn't going to make it the whole two hours. I was enjoying his free form rambles and shitting all over everyone he worked with in the entertainment industry.

He was on to discuss the Garrison Tapes.  ;D

That show was definitely different lol. it's one of those shows that after an hour you wonder "What the F was the topic?" He seemed to be mostly trashing old Hollywood and new politics. Threw a few race things in there you that is just uncomfortable to hear this day in age. Not necessary racist but things like " they needed a black person" and things like that, which can make a host itchy.

Barbour defiantly overshadowed the "news segment" where of course Noory found a guy who thought Trump did great and pointed at online polls, by first mentioning Drudge and Breitbart and all the other polls. Of course Noory being Norry talks about how impressive it is, at the same time calling it "unscientific" but still hyping the results like a accomplishment. Which is just classic Noory in contradicting himself. That's like giving somebody credit for winning a baking contest when you know that person bought the cake from a bakery store because the sticker price is still on it  ;D

Thanks ShayP, l listened to the interview this afternoon on my CCrane Encore.  From the word "go", Barbour was on a roll, not pulling any punches.  It was obvious George was not comfortable with some of his more outrageous comments, saying at one point the listeners needed to remember Barbour was also a comedian.  Just before he repeated the statement made to him about Pyror, he opined Byron Allen was "the dumbest human being I ever worked with".  I'm surprised George didn't pull the plug at that point.

I liked the crotchety old man with his rants. His joke about TSA workers looking "like they could not get a job at a Church's Fried Chicken" got a laugh out loud out of me because I thought something similar when I was first saw them. Now he is ranting about fat people. Hilarious stuff and making Norry very, very uncomfortable. Tommie must have been fuming.

It was deleted on the aired broadcast.  My guess is that this was recorded by a person who was listening on live feed on the telephone while calling in and posted this to Coast Insider.

The guest was mistaken when he claimed it was Bill Clinton who did away with the Fairness Doctrine.  It was Ronald Reagan.

I thought Tommie pre-interviewed the guests.  How could whoever at the program who is supposed to be responsible for these things not have noticed the guests penchant for using 'salty language.'?

I thought the guest was hilarious and had some good tales. I also find it funny that the "n-word" got him cut off when he was telling a story about Richard Pryor- whose initial career was based on bits and album titles using the "n-word." And then we get a Norryism: "shame me once, shame me twice, shame me no, no, no, no, no." And then a retelling of his failed Mexican kidnapping with a lot of speculation and theory about the motivations, plan (Norry thinks they called the driver and threatened his family,) and etc.

Barbour has been a C2C guest previously, although I think maybe with Knapp.  I do not remember him going even close to batshit crazy on air like you heard last night.  If there is no history of a previous guest losing it, how can a producer be held accountable when it happens without precedent?

I would bet that all that was happening was that the driver took him on a NYC cab ride. You know, drive him all over town, anywhere except where he's going, and then after the meter is sufficiently high, meander over to the requested destination.

Damn, to think I missed that one.  Isn't it about time for Jorch to rehash his pizza roll trauma?

I agree but the working of the board and dumping is that Tommie's or Norry's job because there are semi-frequent times where "bad language" gets out and Norry brags about "you won't be able to hear that, that's why we have dump buttons" but I hear them? The n-word got out yesterday. I was listening on replays so not sure if it went out live (not where the "people" get a copy on the shows for torrents or youtubes but I would be surprised if the official copy contained it for the "insiders.") If a guest starts going crazy then they need to be on their toes more. And not just rely on host who is busy talking/listening. And in some cases, like Connie, maybe stoned (really Preston talking about glowing orb masturbation?) How that that be ok FCC wise but not a random curse word at 1am?
