Similarly, it use to drive me batty how many people who should know better would refer to Africa as a country. One of my personal goals as a teacher would be to sneak in a little mini lesson about how Africa was NOT a country, but a whole big continent. For a long time, I would hear the media, politicians, teachers and other adults in these kids' lives calling Africa a country which would piss me off. Not South Africa but just plain old Africa. These kids didn't know squat about geography so I would always incorporate little geography lessons into my art lessons as well as making sure they would get the whole Africa thing down.

That way we will have new C2C host opening and maybe by that time bateman will get his shit together and becomes the regular host
and MV will do the weekends.

I have a new "most annoying caller" candidate, the guy who regularly gets through and weaves the alleged murder of his father into what/who ever the topic/guest is on seemingly any given night.  I've heard him with George and at least two of rent-a-hosts.  I must admit, with this guy I'm having a problem deciding if he's a legitimately troubled individual reaching out for help or just one of those guys who wants to see how far he can string hosts/listeners along.  Early on I tended toward legit, but his last few calls, or at least those I've heard, I'm beginning to think it's a scam, maybe even a shill.

I have a new "most annoying caller" candidate, the guy who regularly gets through and weaves the alleged murder of his father into what/who ever the topic/guest is on seemingly any given night.  I've heard him with George and at least two of rent-a-hosts.  I must admit, with this guy I'm having a problem deciding if he's a legitimately troubled individual reaching out for help or just one of those guys who wants to see how far he can string hosts/listeners along.  Early on I tended toward legit, but his last few calls, or at least those I've heard, I'm beginning to think it's a scam, maybe even a shill.

I first heard that guy during the Oct. 7 show, and he's called at least two additional times since then. By the third time, when Jimmy Church announced the caller's name and location, I knew it was going to be him before he even started to speak!

Is it a scam? I hadn't even considered that until now, but it's possible. This may not be meaningful, but on the most recent call, I don't think the guy ever said the word murder -- just euphemisms such as his Dad's life being cut short -- and he sounded less distraught, though that might just be my imagination. What I find exasperating is that he never actually says what happened to his father. The first time, George Noory tried to get some details, but the guy kept hemming and hawing, saying "It's complicated" and speaking vaguely about some "suspects."

He seemed to want help with his Dad's case, but he wasn't doing a good job of moving his story along. I think George sensed he wasn't going to get anything out of this guy, and rightfully decided to give him the boot by asking him to send his information in a "long email."

I heard that caller too. If true, my sympathies. I heard him late Friday early Saturday. So he does this often? Well c2c is still a trash dump.

I've heard him at least five times, most recently a few nights ago with Church.  Considering I listen to something less than half of C2C shows, in my mind that makes him a frequent caller, at least over the past month or two.  It's his "hemming and hawing" and vagueness that gives me reason to doubt he's on the up and up.  His story never goes anywhere, no additional information with successive calls, no building on previous calls....more stream of consciousness rambling than anything else.  That said, I'm not a grief counselor, so maybe his total lack of focus and rambling is not unusual for someone in his alleged situation.  Regardless if he's a joker or is legit, he's getting annoying.  He's enough me to make wish the Finnish language guy (Will?) would start calling again.
