Punnit is gone.  Quayle is a regular.  Nuff said.

I'm surprised no one else commented on Quayle's saying "rumored Nazi incidents of slaughter".  And Noory's cowardly and weak reaction; "Well, neither one of us was alive in WWII".   Alarm bells went off in my mind instantly.

There were so many irresponsible statements being thrown around in that interview that I missed that particular gem.  In fact, I don't remember much of what Quayle said at the moment.  I just remember thinking that even free speech should have its limits when someone can come on and make a bunch of baseless actionable statements.

What a douchebag huckster Steve Quayle is. Playing on ignorant people's fears. Texas is being targeted with ebola? What a jackass. And Noory just sits there like a clown and lets him spew B.S. all night long. Shameful.

So it appears last night's show was a real humdinger as usual George just let the guest go full crackpot on the air unlike the days when Art would get angry and challenge people...

nextgen.fm

From listening to George last couple nights...I think it is obvious he may not have the intellectual horsepower for talk radio...nothing against the guy!

but...you kinda need to be able to challenge and think off your feet with talk radio

Is it that he is scared to speak up or challenge???

Maybe he needs to find that inner nighthawk that lays deep in his soul and let it rise up like the phoenix

I think part of it is that he feels most of this stuff is wacked out and if he challenges anybody, future guests and callers won't feel safe to come on and spew their weird ideas that people tune in to hear.  I also think he doesn't have the intellectual capacity for the job.  He'd probably be a better fit for selling anti-balding creams or something.

That's true

He can still challenge in a non threatening manner of course

It would sound quite pleasing coming from him in that smooth pizza roll voice of his

I just felt like Art Bell would have that skeptical tone in his voice all the time

I mean, if someone like Dallas thomspon were to come on again talking about flying into the center of the earth, George just might give him a free pass!

This is part of the reason why Noory has to go he is too afraid to hurt his guest little feelings. However... Noory himself has questioned whether ebola was real, depending on who he is talking to 9/11, and a number of other incidents. The doofus has turned C2C into conspiracy central when he could get the rating ups.  He was harping on a recent appearance with the looser that is Jesse Ventura. The man, and those he has surrounded himself with are sad.

I can't believe I'm going to defend Quayle....but here it goes. The way I heard that holocaust comment was rumors at the time the holocaust was happening but despite the Allied 1942 declaration I don't think leaders, or people, appreciated how bad it was. That is, at the time we didn't appreciate what was happening and how bad and purposeful it was. Not holocaust denial, or that incidents of slaughter didn't happen.

This was prior to the internet, satellites, and media was limited. It was not like Murrow and Severeid were allowed into Dachau to report. And I don't think we could believe that a "european" country could do this kind of thing. It wasn't until later in the war (and of course especially during liberation) that the true extent and atrocious nature was known about the holocaust. Recall things like MS St.Louis being turned away from so many ports. And it wasn't until 1944 did Roosevelt change US policy with regard the emigration for Jewish refugees- and this was from non-NAZI occupied areas only. Post-war the US also had big political fights to change the immigration quota to include more Jews so Truman made an "Truman Directive" to allow some in. Congress didn't expand the quotas until 1950. By that time Israel was founded and many ended up going there instead.

As expected, Quayle went absolutely nuts on Ebola and Obama last night.  As expected, Noory acquiesced to every insane thing Quayle said.  On ISIS butchery, Quayle slipped and actually said "rumored Nazi incidents of slaughter". Noory made a very weak try at rewinding it after a considerable lag; he must have got a panicked screen message from Tommy "He just denied the Holocaust...say something you jackass!!"

Completely unacceptable.  There are times Quayle is entertaining and interesting......but that comment.......TOTAL  LUNACY.   :o

Yeah, but I think that NAZI comment was taken the wrong way. I don't think Quayle was saying it never happened and all a rumor. But thought to be a rumor then, by many. (I can't believe I'm defending Quayle. haha. But that is how I took comment.)

At the time it was considered "rumor" by many at the time, including our government whose State Dept refused to pass on the info when the exterminations started in 1941 to a famous Rabbi. And it took until 1944 to start admitting refugees (and only those from non-NAZI occupied areas.) And recall the shock of our troops and populace once liberation happened. (Apparently also our papers in WWI printed a bunch of stories of atrocities by the "Hun" that ended up being false and papers like the NYT were hesitant to report on the holocaust because the story seemed so extreme- as it actually was.)
ps: though people seem to forget that Art has Dr.William Pierce on as a guest!! William Pierce, head holocaust denier, full-on white supremacist, and author of "The Turner Diaries." Modern C2C has never come close to being that "controversial." (Though after the interview Art to his credit spoke out against him and took callers on all sides.)

I listened for the most part then fast forwarded through it.  Why I stay a Coast Insider so I can download this flotsam is beyond me. :-\   Then again, I tried JBW's show.  (sigh and pause)  I digress.

Nonetheless....Did I here Noory say (to Quayle) that someone asked him what his favorite book was and he responded with "The Bible!....Is there any other?"  Hmmmm....seemed like he was sucking up to Quayle's beliefs.  George wouldn't suck up to a guest would he?  ???

*I'm sorry I barely could type that last sentence without getting chills and laughing.

CHEERS everyone!  ;D

When you asked Joel Fotinos what book influenced him the most and he responded "The Science of Mind. By Ernest Holmes, you did't give him a chance to expound. You jumped in with your favorite book, the Bible. George,  after countless hours on the air, your listeners know your thoughts on certain things, including the Bible. Why can't you just let the guest tell their story? End of e-mail.

I'm chiliace, a member for quite some time.  I have never contacted Noory before, but I sent that e-mail to George on the day he made the above comment to Quayle.  He might have read it and perhaps it ticked him off. I heard the comment myself and got a chill thinking I might have actually had an impact on the Snooron. Anyway, that is my story.  Sorry I haven't posted before, but I did read and enjoy the "Art Bell Quits Dark Matter" thread; all of it. I miss some of those people.  Anybody hear from Tertiary Imam recently? GNS
Sorry again, my post appears to be one long quote. I'm new at posting. Thanks.

Yeah, only reason I say that is Quayle in past has mentioned the "project paperclip" and NAZIs over here (there and everywhere) and thinks the world is going to some NAZI-like police state world government. So if the NAZIs didn't kill so many people, and do the holocaust, I doubt he would use the term "Nazi" to compare to "them" and have them prominent in his theories. (I recall he also had some NAZI/HollowEarth connection at some point in the years that also involved giants.) But who knows what goes in that mind?!

Next guest, obviously has a degree and some credentials, but quickly it appeared less neuroscience or scientific study but a personal experience (with passing comments about "studies" that prove reincarnation.) His theories often sounded more like Blavatsky or the usual newage guest. I was hoping for a more scientific guest on the subject of NDE and consciousness. Though I'm not quite through show yet.

1941 America had different attitudes about many things.  It's 2014, and there's only one context in which a phrase like "rumored incidents of slaughter by Nazis" is used today.  Quayle was trying cast doubt on the "rumored" incidents of slaughter by ISIS (i.e. as reported by the NWO-controlled media); it was quick but his intent was was clear. Noory heard it, and made a ham-handed attempt to soften it.  Quayle made no attempt to qualify it. Your defense of it is completely disconnected from Quayle's comment and usage.

Steven Quayle has slid a long way from his stories about giants and repressed archaeology with Bell. Bell would have shut him down when he first went hardcore fundamentalist, before he swung right off the political spectrum when Obama was elected.  His rantings, with spineless Noory's complacency, are off the scale; beyond far right and well into psychotic territory. Whether is genuine or just an act to separate far right lunatics from their money, its disgusting that he's kept on the guest roster.

What the Snooron did or didn't say about Quayle's manic rants has long ceased to interest me. Years ago when I was an "Insider," I wrote Noory every time Quayle was scheduled to be on, telling him that the man is a maniac.  I usually received some half-baked reply that dodged the issue.

The fact that Quayle is a regular guest and has been for years, is the basic insult to thuh lissners.  :P

WOTR

I caught the start of the show tonight where Jorch, the magnificent's guests told us that is time to start panicing because of Ebola.  Very helpful.  At the end of the segment, George closed with the comment, "if this keeps up, people are going to be very, very strange these days." (yes, the word were in that order- I suspect that Tommy messed up the 3X5's)

And that was all that I could stand.  Thanks George for the helpful reporting.  I have nominated you for a silver sow award.

LOL

anyone listening tonight!?

This is one of the best show's he's had to do because his guest flaked out and he actually has to take calls and COMMUNICATE!

This is real talk radio!  He even made some funny comments about Giorgio's hair

That was weird who was that guy that came on the air to read a text message ? Was that the infamous TOMMY?

UFQuack

It's been bothering me for a while now, I can't quite put my finger on what Jorch sounds like but there are times when Jorch sounds like he's talking through a mouthful of oatmeal mixed in with a mass of Elmer's glue.

Jorch is such a mushy sounding speaker for a professional broadcashter. I mean if a pile of mud could develop lips and talk and that same pile of mud developed a mawkish personality, I imagine it would sound exactly like Jorch.

You know you're right, he almost seemed like a real person there for a little while.  When he's forced to drop the 3x5 cards and dusty old cliche questions, sometimes he has more personality than my answering machine.

For some reason I kinda enjoyed the guy calling in with the kooky home remedy recipe and the whole exchange between them almost felt like an authentic human exchange.  It's all very unsettling to me.   ???
