Tonight: Timetrak Predictions
Mon 10-13
Futurist Paul Guercio and physicist George Hart of the Merlin Project will discuss their software-based forecasting technology and the graphical snapshots of time, called Timetraks, it generates. They will provide updates on their latest predictions for various public figures and events, and how their technology can give people a hedge on the future.

From RationalWiki
The Web Bot Project is a bot that uses the World Wide Web to predict future events. The project was supposedly created in 1997, by Clif High and George Ure, to predict stock market trends. It uses a technology that they have dubbed "Asymmetric Language Trend Analysis" or ALTA, which searches the Web for certain keywords and, based on their context, quantifies the emotional impact. Somehow, this is meant to tap into the collective unconscious â€" which, of course, can predict the future.
[edit]Predictions

Among other things, the Web Bot is claimed to have predicted the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001. It is also associated with the 2012 doomsday stuff and was even mentioned during a segment of the thought nausea-provoking History Channel special Decoded. The actual ALTA reports are interpretations of the data by High. Even with his attempts to organize these "predictions" the report is practically unintelligible:
Within the termination points here, there are many pointers to [attempts (some successful, some not)] against the [gangs] of the [banksters (aka -rose protected, and stone buddy boys)]. At least one of the successful [executions] is indicated to be [within sight/smell of] the [oil volcano].
The predictions also include myriad references to conspiracy and pseudoscience (e.g. abiotic oil and UFOs) and are riddled with antisemitism.
[edit]Criticisms

The use of bots to look for trends on the Web is a common practice. However, even the most advanced ones aren't capable of truly understanding the context and meaning of words; they merely look for patterns that may indicate, for example, an increase in the mention of a certain product. Web Bot's databases and source code are not publicly available and the "reports" are merely interpretations of the data presented by a human. Most of Web Bot's supposed predictions follow the Nostradamian pattern. A vague prediction is made that could describe many different events. Then, after an event has occurred that seems to fit that description, believers claim that the prophesy has come true, ignoring the lack of specific detail in the original prediction.

....Hardly the usual visions and the happy elves or little people and ancient cities normally told about in DMT.

This description just reminded me of a cool guest from many years ago, named Daniel Pinchbeck, who wrote an interesting book called Breaking Open the Head.  Wish they'd have him on again, interviewed by a non-Noory.

The thing I don't like about these two is that the physicist George Hart who did all the work scarcely talks  The futurist Paul Guercio does most of the talking.  He doesn't seem to know anything but he spends each program trying to hype it all up and promote the hell out if it.

I'm not so sure it's that great of a topic even!

Remember in 2011 when George was telling everyone to buy gold?  I sent him this email a few minutes ago to call him on his bullshit.  Scumbag.

George,

In 2011 I sent you an e-mail about the skyrocketing price of gold, something you talked about on your show almost nightly back then.  You and many of your guests told people to invest in gold, and some said to stay away from the stock market.  How does that look three years later?  Last year the market had one of the best years it has ever had and gold has dropped during that time.  Why you would recommend your audience buy something at an ALL TIME HIGH showed me you are not the person to listen to when it comes to investing.  Anyone who made the mistake if taking your advice to buy gold back in 2011 has lost money.  How do you feel about that? Do you take any responsibility for it? You gave them horrible advice.  I'm glad that I ignored your advice and put money into the market instead.

I don't listen to your terrible show anymore, at least not when you host it, but I have to ask....do you still tell your audience to buy gold?  Did you spend as much time talking to your audience about how the price of gold took a huge dive as you did when it went way up? Gold is a volatile investment...have you told your audience that??  If so, how often have you said it?

George, are you aware that gold doesn't receive compound interest? If you do know that, have you told your audience? Back when I was listening you talked about gold all the time but I never once heard you say it doesn't have compound interest, or explain how the investment works.  Do you even understand how it works?  If not, then you should have the decency to learn about it before telling your listeners it's a great investment.  If you do understand how it works and you have not shared that information with your audience, and made it clear over and over again when talking about gold, then you are scum for deceiving your audience.  Either way your behavior is completely irresponsible.

Silver, another investment you have supported, isn't any better.  It's actually doing even worse.

Have you received money for promoting gold and silver on your show and telling people to buy it, without fully explaining how the investment works? If so you are a con man and a mouthpiece.  You are ripping people off while pretending to look out for them.  It's too bad that people like you get paid to manipulate others into buying bad investments.

Your obsession with telling people to buy gold, and the hacks you put on the show who agreed with you, destroyed Coast to Coast in my opinion.  It's why I stopped listening.

THOMAS HOBBES, Leviathan

Because silver and gold have their value from the matter itself, they have first this privilege, that the value of them cannot be altered by the power of one, nor of a few commonwealths, as being a common measure of the commodities of all places. But base money may easily be enhanced or abased.
-GNS tho I agree but dont blame George for a theory centuries old (and valid now. I listen commercial free so dont know what he is hawking but precious metals have always been a hedge, not necessarily an investment. To wit: China and India and other large buyers.)

I'm pretty sure the Merlin Project is different from the Web Bot project. It's supposedly based on Guercio's brand of astrology.

Noory's guest is really kissing his ass. "Your app is great, its free. Can I give you a handjob?"

noory sucks so much at open lines, looks like they floating the idea of abandoning it. Friday night there is no scheduled open lines, just a shitty guest listed. C2C used to have plenty of open lines. No even when Jorch drops a guest he gets a stand in guest. PATHETIC.

Two hours in, George finally asks what info you're supposed to enter into their app.  Answer, your birthday.  Is this thing like astrology w/o the planets?

This guy just said he doesn't believe in pre-destination, but he's telling you if you put your b-day in is 99 cent app it will show you the graph of your life?

More like a slot machine.  Put in your 99¢ and you might get some useful information.
The only ones who are sure to benifit, is the huckster selling the app...

So Jorch is testing out the samples of the home-made distilled elixir I make?  With all natural coca leaves and the pods of the poppy plant before they flower, I make the alcohol from Elderberry Wine.  I had named it "Fumus Ummphen Wine" (I mix a bit of the distillate alchohol back into the Elderberry Wine that it is made from for flavor and drinkability...) And he is both taking it AND talking about it on the air?

I figured he'd never let me hawk that stuff on his show, even though I am thinking of making a "Special Simple Jorch" batch with toomeric, and making it available to C2C subscribers for $100 per 100ml bottles.  (the case I sent him was bottled in some old wine bottles, so he has quite a supply...)

Hold on... Gotta take a call...

Back, apparently Jorch is out of that first case of my "Frumus Ummphen Wine" (I had no idea that he could mess up the pronounciation of Frumus!) that I sent and wants more.  I overnighted that stuff like Saturday or something.  Damn, he apparently can't read the instructions for use very well, I had them printed up on 3x5 cards and sent him a whole packet in case he loses them...

Oh snap!  I bet he's out of 3x5 cards by now, I didn't think of that... shit...  I think he drank a whole case of "Fumus Ummphen Wine" between when it was delivered this afternoon and now...

I have no idea what Rosie O'Donnell is like and I don't watch the View because 1) I have a job and 2) a TIVO killed my parents.

Steve Quayle says you should buy rice, not gold. Jorch should start pushing everyone to buy rice. I bet Jorch's stock market strategy is to buy high and sell low.

Ahh yes, That 2012 crap that the Prognostibots said there was nothing showing up after DEC 2012. Gee ya think these guys are the modern Snake Oil salesmen :o Gee I'm surprised they didn't see the rise of Ty Bolinger's Carnivora Empire! ;D

I'm disappointed whenever I check who's the guest/host on DarkMatter or C2C webshite.

This last guy with his timetrack crap is a regular. His partner is the software guy but couldn't be bothered to stay up this time.

Last Sunday that other stoopid host guy, what's his name, had someone on who used to be a hippy then took too much acid and was going on about how great it's seeing angels after taking too much ecstasy! For hours! He kept saying "you know..." ten times a minute. He couldn't even talk properly and kept saying things about Moses and mdmt! Germans invented ecstasy a hundred years ago in WWI to send doped soldiers into killing fields and has nothing to do with Torah times. He couldn't even speak as he'd fried his brains. Doesn't that idiot Tommy Danheiser who bans any guest in contact with Art not speak to these vegetables anymore? The guy was hilarious, just brain dead going on about assembly of angels summoned by ecstasy overdose!

Then last week on DarkMatter that BS guy jimmy church had another ex-hippy gone evangelical ie: L.A. Marzuli who kept saying Israel was right to just kill 1500 women and children coz of end times and rapture and sheeet and jimmy church kept saying yeah them civilians needed killing. Then Marzuli's boyfriend, the other guest, said yes in Israel everyone will offer you free pizza and was going on about Jesus and the other two kept saying yeah. Then every 5 minutes someone would say ufo or aliens out of context! wtf? Then when asked about aliens while the other guy was on about necessary mass genocide church said aliens? The guy said greys impregnate, there are many historic records of virgin birth, including Mary and Jesus, they are all the works of greys. Church as usual was saying yeah yeah. I don't know his dayjob, car wash?, but after coffee wears off he doses. He suddenly woke up and said what what? Let's not talk about religious stuff. ex hippy  reverend L.A. Marzuli's fragmented mind collapsed and didn't know to keep agreeing with his boy friend or not anymore. Real tired of these Abrahamic religions and sects killing each other anyway, worst lot is ISIS some call animals which is an insult to poor animals. Other DM guests have been crap usually too for weeks, looks like spent guest list.

Over the weekend on C2C Lisa Gar had some woman on about angel therapy. Completely mad. But I like Lisa Gar she cares about people so I didn't mind too much. Her guests are usually nice too even if half mad. Noory used to care about people too. He used to have campaign targets to feed hungry kids. Then after pizza rolls he just sells crap, more than Art ever did.

I listen to Richard Dolan on kgra and some interesting guests there and on Revolution Radio Studio A & B, half the time something listenable. C2C guests used to be good but now they get lunatics or BS salesmen return regularly. Best bet on C2C is Knappy but he's firing blanks sometimes too.

All in all, come back Art, all's forgiven.

What a mess.  :P

Some people consider receiving interest on money as the sin of usury.

More than Art ever did? I'm ashamed to admit that I fell for Art's propaganda in the semi-hysterical run-up to Y2K. He had J. Michael Stevens on (more than once) peddling his dried food. I paid close to $4000., plus another three or four hundred for shipping for a year's supply of dried food. I also bought a Baygen radio. This was before I learned the genesis of C2C, and the purpose of the show.  Might I use the food sometime in the future? Perhaps... but in the meantime I have had to shuffle those boxes around for 15 years, and the next time I move it will be out of the country so I will not be able to take the food with me. I have tried to sell it, but dried food is not the kind of thing people want to buy second-hand. I can't even sell the Baygen.

Dear Mr. Art Bell; on the slim to nutt'in chance you read this, why not be a decent guy and buy back my dried food? Being destitute, I could really use that 4000 bucks right about now. I'll even throw in the Baygen (still in the box) for free. You must have made a mint from your half of the predictive-programming, fear porn, book and movie deal. If you pay my gas, I will deliver it to Nevada. Or I can deliver it to a local food bank and you can write it off on your taxes.

It was a legitimate hysteria.  Tech companies were scrambling to update their software before it hit.  I don't fault Art for that.

That's shameful. Well, a guy who marries a child bride 3 months (!) after his previous wife died, probably isn't overbrimming with morals.
