I'm psychic too â€" and I predict hilarity.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

yeeeehaw!

Psychic Tales
Date:   11-26-13
Host:   George Noory
Guests:   Stewart Swerdlow
Medical intuitive and clairvoyant Stewart Swerdlow says he was "recruited" for government mind-control experiments that enhanced his natural abilities. He'll discuss his life as a psychic, and share insights into the forces that guide the world as we know it.

Turning on Coast is kind of like being a prospector.  Often there are vast deserts of topic emptiness e.g. boring guests and/or an unprepared Noory, or vocal rockslides e.g. Nooryism babbling, or solid granite mental slabs of impenetrable rock e.g. incoherent guests or Noory's completely missing the point.   But sometimes like tonite, if you're patient you can mine out a few nice nuggets of worthwhile radio.  Don't forget to wear your hardhat though, it's always a risky undertaking.

I always compared listing to C2C to one of those whales that feed on krill by filtering millions of gallons of seawater to get a tiny bit of krill - listening to millions of hours to get one minute of interesting talk.

Can curving light into a coil foster time travel?  Heck, let’s give it a try and find out.

Haha valdez, yep that's the spirit!  I thought George's questions were ok for a change, and when he made the goofy Marty McFly reference at first I rolled my eyes, and then I gave the guy some slack and realized many listeners including myself were thinking the same thing.

The Betsey Lewis segment not so good.  Mostly hampered by George's overplanning and oversight.

I actually got a kick out of some of her stories, I was listening in a dark cold room imagining the remoteness of the Mojave desert which helped - unfortunately as you said George's timing miscues broke things up too much, and also Betsey's awkward nervous laughter didn't help.

Noory mentioned near the start of the c2c show tonight that Richard Hoagland would be his guest next week to report about something to do with Mars space probes. Noory referred to Hoagland as his 'science advisor' too...

Who is Buckmister Fuller? Dave just dropped his name. Twice. Any relation to Buckminster Fuller, do you think?

I was distracted during the  Stewart Swerdlow  segment (light snow flurries here in the south = panic), but I did hear him advise a caller with some problems to "wear brown" and all will be better.  And I'm busting my butt to make a living.  One easy way to know when George has said something idiotic and/or painfully obvious is that it's immediately followed by Howard Bloom saying "that’s a very good point, George."

I'll do it for a dollar and 43 cents and also create a video for you.

And if my reading happens to be wrong ...

1) I got a 50/50 chance of being right.
2) Where are you going to get a gen-u-ine psychic reading from someone like Pittsburghdamus ( tm ) for a dollar and forty three cents !

Such a bargain AND I work on Thanksgiving too !

Volume. Volume. Volume.

And low overhead too, just like Robert Hall, but hopefully I won't wind up like that company did.

I think they don't have to pay (state) taxes too. Or some kind of really great tax deduction. Anyone know how this works?

I think I will begin seeing auric fields and personal archetypes as well as read DNA sequences and mind-patterns for $125.00 an hour.  A little competition never hurts.

Standing question:  What would happen to a Zombie if it were strapped down to a gurney and forced to listen to George Noory for four continuous hours without even a pee break?

Next step, refer to an urologist.

GAH! I was tired and depressed about money (I have none) and my employment situation (zilch) and freaking out about the latest threat from the latest bill collector so I ended up taking a Xanax and chasing it with a proper cup of Kava Kava tea (chamomile is for amateurs) and escaping into a deep slumber . . . where I dreamed I was chasing around a source for a freelance story (up and down bleachers, nonetheless), but every time I interviewed him, I'd look down at my notebook and my notes would vanish before my eyes (like a Cheshire cat with no smile!) and I'd have to start all over again. Exhausting. I woke up wanting to drink a bloody mary and punch someone hard in the face.

That was a long-ass way of saying that, after all my excitement and anticipation, I missed this show. Maybe I'll listen to it now. But if someone told me to wear brown to solve all my problems, I'd be in kind of a conundrum. Beige, I can do, but brown, no. If that guy were smart, he'd launch a line of colored problem-solving T-shirts to go with his readings. There you go, Swerdlow â€" you just got free marketing advice from an Addy award-winning and once-thriving marketing/PR/media relations consultant. Now take that sh*t and run with it!

I believe that is the procedure for making zombies.

I'm like that every morning when I get up. Then comes the coffee and I merely become cantankerous and difficult. Though I guess that's not surprising, you try drinking a cup of coffee under water and see how frustrating it is.

Onan, George is going to have Bill Mumy send you to the cornfield for insinuating that he's the creator of the coming zombie apocalypse. Narcolepsy maybe, last night was a snoozer for me, but I do find myself interested in Thursday night. Mothman and gratitude. How the holy Jesus Christ George will connect those two topics, I've just got to hear.

The zombie would decompose 100 times faster, beginning with his ears.

hahhaha.  I also envision convulsions and exploding brains, especially when Noory mispronounces every other word.

All we need now is Brad Pitt to go hunting for George Noory as the source of a global Zombie outbreak.  World War Z II.

Yes.  Or, he becomes the perfect guest to engage Noory in conversation:

Noory:  "What led you to become a Zombie?"
Zombie:  "Duh."
Noory:  "How old are you?"
Zombie:  "Duh.".
Noory: "Interesting, let's go the the phones".

Tonight!!! Omg yes!

This guest of George's states clearly that President Obama is the illegitimate son of Malcolm X and was born in 1959 rather than 1961.  Coast to Coast Am should be renamed " The Lunatic Fringe".

I'm still trying to listen to the first hour of last night's show. George is sounding slurry again. Benefit of the doubt â€" it could be my crappy MacBook speakers that are most likely filled with crumbs and cat hair. Or he could just be having an Excessive Saliva Tuesday. I don't know.
