Let me explain something:
First of all you base coast on comparisons to Art. Ive said all along Im not Art. The show has changed its evolved. 9/11 did that and everything that went with it. My God do you think a network would keep me around for 10 years past and equal that in the future if we werent successful in all areas. YOU ARE ENTITLED to your opinion and Im here to learn from you, but please understand this show is at its peak in ALL areas. Im not blowing smoke up you----highest affiliate count, highest ratings, and it just keeps growing. I dont expect the dire hard past friends to like or even understand what Im saying, but its a fact.
Can I grow, fine tune, absolutely ---Have I made mistakes.....he who hasnt cast the first stone.
Let's move on, let's have some fun and enjoy. My gosh when this is all said and done Ill be 90!
LOL

This may be old news by now, but it seems to me to say highest rating, affiliates etc...is not such a big accomplishment when you have zero competition as you are protected by non-compete clauses. It's pretty easy to be number one when you're the only one.

When you are the only show on in the middle of the night, and every other channel is a rerun from earlier in the day, how the F can you not be #1 in your time slot...

And yet who is telling us George is #1?  George is.

Release the Arbitron ratings for the top 20 or 30 markets in your time slot, George.

Will the Noory family be watching George's favorite movie again this Thanksgiving - Old Yellow, the story of a child's beloved dog that has to be shot.

Ah, yes, the Noory holiday gathering.  It looks like it must be on Friday or the weekend since Jorch is scheduled for the Thursday night show.  I'm sure Jorch wouldn't short-change his all-important daily show prep just for Thanksgiving.  We also know Jorch will be hosting on Thanksgiving night for all the shut-ins, homeless, orphans, cripples, cat ladies, and other societal malcontents because Jorch is such a swell kind of guy.

After Jorch has done his duty for humanity, he'll slink off with Tommy to celebrate what has to be his favorite holiday since it involves one of his favorite food groups, turkey.  The Thanksgiving table will  be stacked to the ceiling with turkey on whole wheat sandwiches, specially slathered in cranberry sauce, pizza rolls prepared by somebody in the family who actually knows how to use a microwave, and multiple chafing dishes filled with various flavored butters.  Somebody in the Noory clan will also bring Chicago all-beef little wienies, because they know they're "thuh best."  Jorch told them so.  Tommy will bring his special holiday treats of green been Cheetos casserole and baked Twinkies Alaska.

After stuffing themselves silly, Jorch will begin his annual reminiscing of the good 'ol days of hamster experiments and paternal rodent stomping.  At some point in the heart-warming discourse, Tommy will break in with "but what about Old Yellow?"  Jorch will squeal with delight and pop his favorite DVD in the player for a night of canine delight, Noory-style.

With no disrespect meant towards Bea Arthur, if you put a mustache on her, she'd look a bit like Jorch (at least the Old Yellow picture above makes me think so).

Just got an email from RCH. Seems as if he's on a sabbatical and has not been " fired " from his C2C science advisor position. He was suprised to hear that people think that.

I thought he stowed away on the new mars satellite...

Ever notice how listening to George Noory is like listening to a record played backwards?  Every once and a while a word or phrase makes sense but most of it is like "barfgabot, quallit todit mok".  The only one who truly understands George Noory is UFO Phil.

Holy cats, Westie!  I never noticed it before you pointed it out...now what's been seen can't be unseen.

Only his toe nail clippings.  Micro-gravity experiments will determine if they are indigenous to Earth.

Breaking news from the Premrat newswire.  Mr. Noory will no longer be making public appearances at meet and greets.  We are pleased to announced that we have hired, a man from Pittsburgh, named Mr. Falkie.  Our selection was made based upon his YouTube videos.  Mr. Falkie will attend these functions clad as Mr. Noory all in the name of good fun.  You will be able to shake his hand, get autographs and have your picture taken with him.

At least we were spared last week from the regular Noory Friday night closing theme  with UFO Phil, he played some of the broadway soundtrack album from Camelot instead last Friday.
And we should be spared again this week as well since Noory is scheduled at the c2c website as taking off this Friday and John B. Wells fills in...

Say what?  Camelot?  Was this a lame Noory salute to JFK?  Oh well, still better than UFO Phil.  Barney the Dinosaur's theme song would be better than UFO Phil.

Jorch will be doing Holiday duty on T-Day night.  Just for us.  ;)

George Noory SUCKS!

You can lead a horse to a microphone, but you can't make him give a fuck.

It's weird, isn't it?  Put a purple pants suit with 80's shoulder pads on George, remove the mustache, and you have Dorothy!

Did he mention that 90% of this place, including Gabcast thinks that he's dead?

yep Noory said that JFK loved listening to the 1960 Camelot  Soundtrack album so he played some of it (with Richard Burton) twice last Friday night during his 4hour JFK special...

Geesh...how cornball of Jorch.  Thanks for clarifying, Morgus.  I just turned-off the radio so my ears won't be insulted by Jorch's  blathering.  Maybe he'll play some Mitch Miller or Lawrence Welk tonight to warm-up all the trend-setting listeners for T-Day.

Do I get a cut of Noory's earnings for doing it ?

I could also sign his checks for him.

After all travelling and lodging costs money.

Excellent - need to record that and send it in as a submission for Noory's Sunday night "Submerging Artists"  ;D

It'll go well as long as you do it from behind a screen. After all you don't want to scare people do you? If it's you in the vids you need a face and body stand in..you don't have much of a presence in the attraction ranks do you?

Really enjoying physics professor Ronald Mallett tonite.  (It's helping alot that George is just letting him run mostly with his ideas.)  He's quite articulate about time travel and other topics, explaining things using good analogies etc.  One cool idea he mentioned was a way to get around the problem that you can't travel back in time before your time travel device was invented .... just find some ET civilization that already invented a time travel machine thousands of years ago and then we just hitch a ride on that.  (Anyone want to cruise back and check out the 7 wonders of the ancient world?)

Turning on Coast is kind of like being a prospector.  Often there are vast deserts of topic emptiness e.g. boring guests and/or an unprepared Noory, or vocal rockslides e.g. Nooryism babbling, or solid granite mental slabs of impenetrable rock e.g. incoherent guests or Noory's completely missing the point.   But sometimes like tonite, if you're patient you can mine out a few nice nuggets of worthwhile radio.  Don't forget to wear your hardhat though, it's always a risky undertaking.

Whereas you have a lot of attraction in the asshole and complainer ranks, don't you ?

George Noory!  You SUCK!  You are terrible.  I have been in a car with three other passengers who had never heard of Coast to Coast that spontaneously burst out in laughter at your moronic non sequitur style and idiotic conversation skills.  Quit.  Stop.
On Halloween I was out with a good friend who is NOT a night owl.  I happened to mention that "Bell was back." and he had no idea who Art Bell was or what Coast was.  I tried explaining it, tried explaining that Coast is a former "ghost" of itself and tried explaining that it is (was?) a paranormal show.

Anyhow, when we left I knew that Coast had started so I told him to tune in.  I got in my car and did the same.  No more than a few minutes in I had to turn off my radio.  When I next saw him he just gave me a questioning look and uttered a one word question: "Really?!?"  I tried again explaining that it is not what it once was... but I doubt he will ever listen again and I do not think that he has any interest in listening to the man who started that show.  Thanks to Noory he will never tune in to hear Art.

Well, I have rambled enough for now.  I just could not believe how stupid I felt listening to the show and realizing that I had actually convinced a friend to tune in.  Nor could I believe how guilty I felt when I turned off coast in disgust and realized that he would probably listen for a half hour while driving home in the hopes of hearing what I saw in such a show.

Well said.  I also enjoyed the Mallett segment.  There's something about the tone of his voice that makes you want to lean in and listen carefully lest you miss something critical.  Can curving light into a coil foster time travel?  Heck, let’s give it a try and find out.  And thank you George for keeping your trap shut.  Yeah, yeah, you don't understand the big bang.  We got that.  Read.  Understand it, already.  The Betsey Lewis segment not so good.  Mostly hampered by George's overplanning and oversight. "We'll talk about that later...go ahead and talk about it now...I can't wait to talk about that...later...now...go ahead…" You'd think somebody who just signed a million year contract would just relax and lighten up.  He also used the term "Feb" again with Lewis.  Super annoying.
