Death means nothing when you've got Tom Cruise and John Travolta pulling for you.

sleepless - if I may ask...

Are you an insomniac in Canada?

Are you an insomniac in California?

Or, are you an insomniac in South America, as in sleepless Inca?

Oh, and it that really your foot?  That is SUPER sexy.

Has George asked Dr. Hall why the Texas board of medical examiners suspended his license once and ordered a psychiatric evaluation a second time which found a delusional disorder. Also, one of the female victims in Texas was a former girlfriend of Dr Halls. Seems weird to me.

That was something I was suspicious of too. hahahah Scifi Author... Sea Org.... Hmm...

I guess that we can rule out Whitley Strieber.

Caller Cornelius evidently forgot his "God bless" salutations.

All shows and callers on C2C from day one are carved in stone facts, without a doubt.

Also, what about his license to practice being suspended for cocaine use in 2008??

George Noory is no Mike Wallace.

Oh no,  The government would never dream of spying of anyone!

They have records of your visits to porn sites....in 1997. It's the same for politicians, so that answers some big questions.

Well, I reckon my point was missed somewhat also due to my curtness. Point being we all are in the same boat, and we all need to be careful throwing stones in our little glass forum. We all are a little cookoo about C2C in our own way, so it would seem.

Elementary knowledge is oft-forgotten in the fray of our busy adult lives, but it doesn't make said knowledge any less valid.

Well, I see you and Gnoory have only been registered here for about the same length of time, so you couldn't be expected to know who's been participating lately and who hasn't.  Fact is that not all of us have entered into the recent rather unusual give and take.

This fool had to stick her head out for a moment and throw a teeny, tiny little backup rock, and got what she deserved for doing so (and, yes, I do mean me, not you.) Mea culpa.

In addition, you've provided us some pedantic friendly advice about how to conduct our lives.  Who woulda thunk?   :)

This thread has really veered off topic as of late. It's turned into a chatroom.

So many questions, I'm not sure i should give up my anonymity .  It's California and I am seriously considering ink along those lines.  It is sweet. ;)

The call, about gang stalking, was interesting.

(Not) Billy Graham: "Who are these weird people on my lawn?"

Let's hope that the guy, who put cameras and microphones in the addicted guy's house, doesn't call the show. That's just what people with "Truman Show Delusion" need to hear.

Thanks, I was just curious.  I think they can be very attractive.  I love the colors and the design.  I say go for it!    8)

I'm on the same coast, up in Washington.

Thanks for the reply.

Man, we gotta get you some blood pressure pills. I don't know, a lot of the more malicious claims--such as the dead babies--seem like classic demonization rather than simply having fun and saying Noory sucks (which he currently does). We saw the same sort of thing with Art on the old BBS and Usenet groups, and I see those same sorts have been active trying to get on Art's facebook page. So shoot me for having disdain for that level of things, whether it's directed at Noory or Art.

To be fair, they're not examples of demonization or malicious claims. George Noory often tells "dead baby stories". That's a documented fact. It can't be disputed. That's not the same thing as saying that he gains pleasure and satisfaction from tragic events that involve minors. *That* would be demonization. He might not be fully aware of how creepy such comments/questions/asides/stories sound to many people. It could be a self-awareness issue.

SaucyRossy

Scifi author.

I'm listening to the George carlin interview with art (around 1999) and they talked about y2k and George thought it was ridiculous (for very interesting reasons) and Art tended to agree with him and did not fear monger. Not only that but George brought up that all he has if it does happen is some cans of spaghetti and a c crane radio and art said well the radio is useful no matter what.

No comparison to how John B Wells is.

Might check out his interviews with Gary North.

That guy was classic, I remember him.  We give George a hard time (deservedly) for being way too easy on the guests but as I remember he actually refuted that guy outright and even offered him like a million dollars or something if he could back up his story.

He played Boston too and it sounded great .  Shimmery and euphoric.  I think they took "Lady in Red" out back.  I hope they send the Kenny G out there too.  Kansas was good.

Wait, what?  I didn't quite realize what you meant since you didn't reference a post where I brought up George's fixation on gruesome incidents involving kids and animals.

So I'm being accused not of mere 'demonization', but 'classic demonization'?  Because everyone knows George doesn't really over-represent these stories in his news segment, or perk right up and want to know how some weird or dangerous situation a guest brings up would affect babies?  Really?  That is about the only follow up questions he ever asks a guest - 'what about babies?', 'how does that effect babies?"?, 'would anyone do that to a baby?", what would happen to a baby if someone did that?'.  He does it all the time.  He brings up babies during these conversations completely out of the blue - the guest is talking about something in general, and out come the creepy questions about babies.

Usually followed by his nervous laugh.

So it's ok to be ghoulish, always bringing this up on his program, but I'm a bad person for pointing it out?

You may want to try again.  I would expect someone claiming to have listened to George Noory for 20 years to have picked up on this by now.

Drudge today:

George just looks like regular media to me. I don't really know what the judgment of creepy would be without connotations of something deeper. Though, I will admit, the entire media as a whole creeps me out.

Was it Noory or Wells who made the offer? The bugger called both hosts. There was a wild female caller, along the same lines, who accused Noory of bugging her house to spy on her. To his credit, he handled it well.

Oh, come on. How many times do the other Coast hosts bring up this stuff? Compare and contrast. You know that there's a big difference, and you know that it seems weird.

I wasn't looking for it, so it sounded like typical media to me. People hear what they want to hear, especially from people they loathe. Eventually they start looking for things, picking at it, breathing things into it and end up way out in orbit in what they say about that person. That certainly happened to Art, actually times ten, and that particular allegation is just the same thing happening to Noory.
