I'll be seeing senator Cruz today. He should do pretty well in South Carolina. He's got a good organization here. He's spent some time down here. It'll be interesting to see what he has to say today.

Well, that`s interesting, especially in light of Cruz`s resume, which includes multiple successful arguments before the USSC in defense of the U.S. Constitution.

That said, whether Cruz wins the GOP nomination or not, I plan to vote for the party`s nominee. Even if it`s Trump, as horrid a prospect as that is, he`s still the lesser of evils when compared to Fidel Castro and Clara Zetkin.

He's got a laundry list of failed businesses that people bought into (Trump mortage( right before the housing bust),  Trump Steaks, Trump University) all build on the "Trump name" all flopped pretty quickly.

I think most people can agree in spirit to your assessment of Trump, but to honestly believe that Cruz would win the general election is just silly.

Trump has had record turn outs, both at his rallies and at the caucus and primary voting that has already occurred.

For Cruz to win, based on the current CNN poll, he would need the support of Trump voters and he would not get that.  I am not going to say Trump supporters would vote Hillary to spite Cruz, I just think they simply wouldn't vote.

The benefit Trump has is that he isn't judged on the same level as a devout Christian like Cruz. One slip and Cruz is gone in the eyes of the evangelicals. Trump is treated like a sinner but at the end of the day he's less of a sinner than Hillary and that might get him some votes with evangelicals.
