Does it say anything to you, at all, that Trump is beating professional journalists at the media game?

In the spirit of Alexander Hamillton, I would much rather have someone with wrong principles than someone devoid of any.

The trouble with making that argument is that the alternatives to Trump have both demonstrated blatant compromises of the principles they claim to hold. Rubio was elected to the senate by the tea party in Florida and he immediately used it as a stepping stone to the presidency and hardly ever shows up to vote and is now the establishment candidate. Cruz ran one of the nastiest primary campaigns I've ever seen yet claims to adhere to Christian values. And then there's Hillary, who has no principles at all other than do anything that's needed to win an election.

You say charlatan and I scratch my head and remember that they're all charlatans.

Trump AND Rubio`s campaign staff are equally "guilty" in the "dirty tricks" department. Cruz had the fortitude to take responsibility for any shady tactics and apologize. He then fired the person responsible. What have Trump and Rubio done? They continue to slander Cruz. THAT is dirty and unpresidential.

But okay with god, apparently, who continues to allow it.

Hahaha FOX created Trump!

Shouldn't you be on Reddit? That seems to be the place where people who have no idea what they're talking about congregate.

Since when did Middle Schools allow the students to play on their phones during class?

This KKK / David Duke thing is the biggest non-issue since arugula. But then again, Howard Dean was disqualified for yelling too vigorously into a mic. This is why I avoid election seasons and television as much as possible.

Not guilty to Cruz's level. The infamous voter violation flyer was just too much:

http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/30/politics/ted-cruz-mailer-iowa-caucuses-voter-violation/

And Cruz flat out refused to disavow it or apologize for it. It was just a ploy to trick elderly GOP voters into voting for him. He's done some questionable stuff in his campaigns, he always runs a dirty campaign, but there is an ethical line for me and he crossed it with the flyer and lost any chance I might vote for him.

Now, a month later he fires his campaign manager because he was starting to take heat for his tactics. They were fine a month ago, but now that he's getting hammered over it by Trump, he changed his tune. That's a political move, not an ethical one.

I understand the guy has a good voting record, I do like that part of the equation, but past that I have a hard time trusting him. I don't think the pious, preacherly man that champions the constitution is the real Ted Cruz.

I do however think we're finally seeing the real Marco Rubio. The manic, hyper basket case meltdown Rubio that we have now I think is the real guy.

It was a silly campaign flyer. Anybody that seriously believed they were in violation of some voting requirement, probably is not intelligent enough to find their own precinct in which to vote.

But I guess you're okay with Donald J Trump being in bed with the mob. I guess you're okay with Trump's shady business deals. And you're okay with trump defaulting on loans and destroying people's lives. And of course you're okay with Donald Trump being sued by dozens of people. And naturally, you're okay with Trump saying that the government will pay for everybody's health care. Don't even get me started on immigration. The man LOVES his H1B work visas  so he will have an endless supply of dirt cheap foreign labor that undercuts American workers. That man is so full of b******* it's got to be coming out of his face. His bright orange face.

I'm afraid all my time here has made my heart weigh more than a feather and I'm pretty much screwed.  Thanks a lot BellGab.

He missed the moment when he could have explained himself out of it (not immediately dismissing the KKK with vigor).  It will be interesting to see what he'll pull off tomorrow to try to create a diversion, coz he definitely doesn't want the media running with this for a week.

I agree, he handled it badly. This is the one thing that could stick and hurt him that I've seen so far in his campaign, but so far it doesn't appear to be sticking at least yet. He needs to be careful though, the media is going to be throwing curveballs at him from here on out trying to trip him up. If he ends up the nominee, the election will be just as much a war with the media as it will be a campaign against Hillary.

He didn't fire him. He asked for his resignation. I am surprised Trump hasn't used that against him yet.

I heard Cruz on the Fox Sirius XM channel 114 yesterday and he refused to take responsibility for any of the Iowa shenanigans and called them all lies. I find that disengenious. And I was a Cruz supporter until recently.

Yeah, but we're not talking about Democrat voters here, we're talking about our older GOP voters. I have some respect for those folks and the fact is Cruz spent money trying to trick them and then wouldn't apologize for it. And then we get into the "Ben Carson quit the Campaign" stuff, which probably hurt Carson. I'm not a Carson supporter, but he's one of the few people in the field that has maintained my respect. He deserved better.

Well, the problem is that whenever I look into the claims against Trump, I don't find what people claim. For example the mafia tie claim derives from Trump having bought concrete from a prominent NY company in the 1980's that was mob owned. Well, if that constitutes a mob tie then anyone that ate at certain pizzerias in NY in those days have mob connections then. There needs to be more meat, and if it was there Cruz or Rubio would have found it and floated it by now. That they haven't is telling.

I don't really care about immigrant work visas. They're legal, and as the head of a corporation he would be acting negligently not to take advantage of a legal means from which he can save or make money. That's business and capitalism at work and ideologically I can't oppose that. If it's legal and you can make money from it, then I can't have a problem and remain consistent with my own ideals. There was the question about the Polish illegals, but I looked into that and found that they actually worked for a contractor.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/feb/25/marco-rubio/marco-rubio-says-donald-trump-had-pay-1-million-hi/

So Marco Rubio's main hit point against Trump during the debate turned out to be much more complicated than he stated. As far as lawsuits go, rich people get sued because they have money, it's just a reality of American life. That gets into my epic disdain I have for lawyers, which both Cruz and Rubio are and Trump is not.

‘This Will Be The End Of Trump’s Campaign,’ Says Increasingly Nervous Man For Seventh Time This Year.  Repeating identical comments he had made in June, July, August, September, and twice in November, increasingly nervous poster 21st Century Man responded to Donald Trump’s latest gaffe.

I wasn't even talking like this back in the summer and fall.  I got a kick out of Trump's initial decision to jump into the race.  I loved how he got the Establishment all riled up.  It was only during the winter that I really started to evaluate Trump and his policies.  I see little in the post that you quoted that was repetitive of previous posts.  I have never said that Trump's campaign was sunk before yesterday. Try again.

That's at least two people that FTF is ignoring on this very relevant point.

Y'all had hours to come up with this, and instead, bupkis. I thought about linking this seven times over and over again but I thought that would be crass.

Was that so hard? No.

That thing? That thing, that people do? Where they pose a question? And act as though it's a question that was asked, and then, they provide an answer? You know?

That kind of thing needs to stop, everywhere, immediately. Glossing over the punctuation marks doesn't make it any less an aberrant, revolting corruption of cogent language.

You are not embarrassed at all when you say things like this?  Not even a little?

His ties to the mob have never been substantiated and only created by a guy a couple decades ago trying to sell a book, all of which is getting media play since Ted Cruz once again using dirty campaign tricks brought it up.

Honestly, if you watch the clip of Ted Cruz and his daughter, she is showing alarming signs of trauma caused by possible sexual abuse of her father Ted Cruz.  It's like she is crying out for help while being revolted her father is trying to touch her.

See how easy it is to create accusations?

New Democratic ad against John McCain focuses on Trump.  This is just the beginning.  Trump needs to be stopped now.  Not that I'm for McCain but I'd rather have him continue as Senator rather than Anne Kirkpatrick.

This is one of the main reasons that I'm against Donald Trump.  I despise frivolous litigious lawsuits.  We need to tighten those laws not loosen them.  And just does how he propose to open up those libel laws?  By executive order?  Again, Congress and the judicial system is not going to go along with Donald on this.

Say NO to Trump.

Our media is the worst in the world on truthfulness and integrity.  Most people view journalists and media only above used car salesmen for honesty.

How can you be happy with the way our current media acts and operates?  You don't think there should safeguards and easier ways to punish media for blatantly being dishonest?

Six months ago we were all talking about how biased the liberal media was, and suddenly it's fine now.
