80,000 deaths in the USA from flu didn't cause me to bat an eyelash. Almost nobody even had a clue or paid any attention.

I'm going to say at least double that (and possibly even triple) is the "correct" answer. Once you get to around a quarter million deaths per year in the USA I might sit up and take notice.

But even then, you are not even at one half of one percent as a mortality rate. A good and proper pandemic should be taking out more than that.

I'm actually getting a little disappointed with this virus. You would think it could either wipe out a good portion of the population like the Spanish flu, or that it could provide some real life gore and fear like ebola.

Several States (and some Countries) have historical "anti-mask" or "anti-facecover" laws to fight against crime, riots, insurrection, KKK, etc. Now "they" say "wear a mask?" Without changing the laws? And "they" want face-recognition, CCTV (well actually not closed-circuit now,) everywhere? Has anyone flown recently and worn a mask through the TSA?

Arafat's dishcloth was the same thing, just tied uniquely.  They're a large square maybe 3 foot not including tassels and the little cords at the corners.
