Are you sure you didna right that poetical stuff?  Vara noice.

Anyhow, in between my cheesemaking, cutting a half a cord of wood, "trimming the shrubs" and delivering foodstuffs to my mother;  I found a minute to knock out a sketch of the proposed "coofiyah" pattern.  I think it is quite summerry(sp?):

[attachment=1,msg1391145]

Feel free to play with the hues and brightness and such, but yellow it must stay.  BTW, it is now the inestimable Lee!'s property now, by the TOS...

I hope it generates enough income to get my TurboMode re-instated.

-p

It's beautiful, indeed very summery!  I could easily see it layered over a smart nautical blazer, draped casually over a thin white tee, falling seductively over a black tank top , lightly caressing my naked clavicles with my bony bare shoulders sticking out.  All the fiber mills in the nation (which are certainly idle) should be put to cranking it out as soon as possible.

Must it be used in a Muslim, bandit, or virus fashion? Can one wear some kind of Scotch ad fashion? Maybe while sailing around San Juan Island or other places? No Natalie Wood  style deaths but starlets on board. Cigarette holders. Unearned wearing of epulallets and caps? Well, the Club allowed, no real service....

I'm not sure what Scotch ad is, you mean like a kilt?  It would make a very teeny lavalava or sarong but I'd be willing to try.

By all means fire up the rumbly old Chriscraft -- San Juans not the best sailing since not much open water.  Pour into those gimbal-mounted martini glasses and get roaring drunk with no one to stop you, but you will always look spring-fresh in your corn teen coofiyeh.

BTW you may have seen the Indians have their white buffalo calf but we got a white orca out by where my folks live:

Sail only. Around islands. But motor boats also fun elsewhere. I think it is called a cravet? Like a bandana for someone who can't tie a tie?  Scotch ads n French types wear them. I DID buy some Scot socks once. In a discount bin. So, basically, I'm cheaper than a Joo or Scot. Used socks? But because cold. Not full wool but long but blend. Worked like a Great White Hunter or alpine trekker look when hiking up there.

Be Nordic and get that whale. (And sell on auction to Japs.)

Oh yeah a cravat!  I suppose it would look dashing, with a little diamond stick-pin to go with your tooth.

Someone should get on this. A white whale. If not taking it out before some Eskimo or Indian 'rights' do get into a newage radio predictions if you won't throw a real barb. So be the Bard and wax poetic.

'Tis a sun-dappled dawn with the coffee pot on in the cabin of your little schooner
When the sight through the porthole makes you drop your bran bowl and turns you into a harpooner.
You scarce can believe, as you roll up your sleeve and take aim at that albino dorsal,
Just how white is the whale, from his snout to his tail!  You think, "Gosh, what a succulent morsel!"
Your lance makes the score and the sea, red with gore, seems to churn like a pot on the boil
While the beast pulls the boat by the barb in his throat, his teeth bared like the fiercest gargoyle.
Takes nearly a league before mortal fatigue makes Leviathan quiet and complacent
And you have to confront a new truth that is blunt:  native bloodthirst is no longer nascent.
Your breath nearly stops at the thought of those chops and the tenderloins long as a Volvo.
Do you start with the heart which you pierced with your dart, or the liver, or why not try both, though?!
You race through the flaying, fresh blood is still spraying as you slit from his chin to his anus,
But at no point do you give a thought what you do, though the details are really quite heinous,
So let's skip to the feast where you dine on the beast and reflect that you killed your first orca,
When, from depths abyssal, as you chew on his gristle, you realize you'd rather have pork.

It must be so!

Great news for all bellgab's dedicated followers of fashon:  the sleek little black style-icon-approved-but-medically-useless "cycling/dust shields" with the cool valves on either side are back in stock on ebay and shipping from China, pre-infected.  Recommended for those who still have cheekbones.  If your cheeks are the widest part of your face you will look like you strapped on a toilet plunger.

Ha. I've never had whale meat. I guess it is a mammal so would taste more like pork than fish?

Going through some photo albums, boxes, and such and listening to an old Art show that randomly was picked out. He and Peter Daveneport about the missing A-10, the lockdown at Cheyenne Mountain, and mysterious radar blips and photographs "from a government site." Plane movements and "usual activity" at Air Force bases. Frantic callers.  Art could've really had a field day with Corona-Chan.  "What the hell is going on, I'm seeing a pattern here, don't you Peter?" -Art 1997-04-26

That is great news! Being as Canada has just "followed the science" when we destroyed our entire economy, I'm looking forward to tomorrows press briefing when Justine says, "oops, our bad. Everybody please resume your lives."

Or, I suppose that they could try to drag this on for another year or two until they have a vaccine for me.

I wonder which they will chose?

Please do a description of Senda in said mask. I'm sure that his jowls more prominent than cheek bones...

I have been considering this for some time. I have assumed that they will use the fact that the world has been taken over by big corporations who they are very friendly towards governments and regulation to force it. A mix of that and outright laws.

In the interest of "public safety" you will be required to be vaccinated if you deal direct with the public. Sales people, waitresses, health care workers, cashiers. Then the big companies will make it "internal policy." It won't be a law- but you will not be able to work for almost any of these companies big enough to have a H+S department...

To answer your question, I really have not come to any conclusions.Maybe it won't come to that? Maybe it will... I suppose it depends a little on how long they can keep the panic up for. But stories like those (that a huge potion of the population has already had it with very few symptoms) are starting to surface, and (some) people are taking notice.

If I were in China, I would be considering this a great opportunity to finally escape their survalience. I know that there is a company who claims to have cracked it and be able to identify people in masks. But those are regular masks.

Something like the stylish Palestinian Coofiyeh would make it far more difficult to track the individual. (Part of the history of the garment- you just need to convince a few million Chinese to use it so that you don't stand out...)
