That is epic! How that UN functionary lies and claims "he can't hear" and then later deflects to the "One China" policy. We should defund the UN and their WHO. And start again from scratch involving decent countries, balanced budgets, clear policies, real science, and less corruption. The UN and their various agencies, like the WHO, has done good things in the past but like many organizations or companies it has grown too large, become too corrupt, is more concerned about itself rather than the members or mandates. Start over....and have it have a Sunset Provision to reorganize something new again after a certain period of time.

Right around the time Alex was starting up and had his local Austin Access program there was another guy. A tent revival preacher that I also liked to watch. I wish I could remember his name. He was full of fire and looked like he could have an aneurysm at any time. And a mixed-race crowd in a tent with Astroturf somewhere, I think east, nearby. He was awesome. I sometimes wonder if Alex saw/met him and developed his ranting style.  Last I heard (decades ago) the preacher man had some kind of scandal and left town. Fuck me, are "we" stupid. I wish that one day we would wake up and actually take these things more seriously. Recently I have been hearing people float the idea that we should release all but the most violent criminals to "protect" them. Yeah, don't lock down the prison. Release them instead. I'm sure that everybody who is a decade into their sentence will have a nice, safe place to go where they can "self isolate."
