Well now our whole state is in stay at home mode until the end of April.  As Jack and K_Dubb mentioned it's not so bad:

Essential Businesses
What qualifies as an Essential Business, you ask? Nearly everything aside from gyms, tattoo parlors, hair/nail salons, spa/massage parlors, swimming pools, and indoor recreational places you'd generally gather at (think movie theaters, arcades, bowling alleys, etc).

So I can go pawn some stuff.  Go to look at some new cars and then play golf.  What is the point?
Our mayor shut down construction on everything- except his pet projects the new soccer stadium and anything related to "poor people" or "homeless"- so new shelters, new shitters, new street plumbing to deal with shit and needles, etc. Lots of angry folks on the AM dials today- this is why I'm building in Hays County, I'm getting jobs in Round Rock, and so on. And why houses or apartment for working people aren't 'priority' but only for homeless and destitute? "Folks are closing on their house at the end of the month and it won't be finished, great job mayor who created another homeless family!"
And some callers: why are CDB shops and Head Shops not open but Liquor Stores are "essential?"
ps: pool guy called in. He got letter saying he was "essential." Brilliant move....he said "if my company doesn't maintain pools Denque Fever and other mosquito born viruses and illnesses might break out." He got the letter!

Because of Corona-Chan or due to other clam viruses? I know the clams and other shellfish can have various ones and Fish&Game or Ag frequently monitors and shuts certain beaches or places down depending.

And sometimes from imported clams from China:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC123989/

And on the other coasts some 'mysterious' diseases. I think Art had a show about this once a long time ago....
https://www.whoi.edu/oceanus/feature/a-mysterious-disease-is-infecting-northeast-clam-beds/

Because people might cough on each other at the beach, I guess.  The digs had already been approved but then one county freaked out and the rest followed suit.

The clams are closed, I repeat, the clams are closed!

Not getting booze will kill hardcore advanced alcoholics.  Their metabolism is set to burn alcohol.  Jojo can add elaboration.

Ridiculous. Keeping people inside their houses- especially apartments or condos without yards-, without physical activity, sunlight, and coughing on each other in enclosed spaces, eating crappy food, drinking too much booze, having domestic disputes due to confinement, watching too much tv, and losing their jobs is likely going to kill more people than digging some clams, going to a park, going fishing, working in the yard, and doing even many jobs that don't involve close proximity with people.

That could be the reasoning and they wouldn't want calls on a supposedly stressed medical system.  Don't need Jojo's elaboration.

It certainly wouldn't because many of the hardcore advanced alcoholics are politicians- or that the Alcohol Beveridge industry, especially the wholesale and distribution level, has good lobbyists and very politically connected families. Surely a concern for the people in general!

I wanna be some sort of masked vigilante whomper now.

Just got my latest electric bill.  Perhaps I’ll claim corona virus challenged.  I do realize many lost their jobs due to this “emergency” but many more are on at home paid sabbatical.

That’s okay.  I just had an employee tell me she was going to use vacation time to bring a sick relative for treatment.  I told her to take advantage of the corona virus time that doesn’t count against vacation.  My Karmic wheels are balanced, if I were alive.

Hey a few of those brands can hurt if they've been out in the sun or chewed on by the dog and then soak up the water!

Damn! How many people are you shooting on the regular? Has the zombie apocalypse begun already?

By the way, I'm fine, everyone. I can see you were all broken up over my passing. Jerks.

Hey babe, I didn't even know you were dead.

"It was a Kill Shot to the flower industry, just as I had predicted on the show with you a decade ago Art." "But this only killed off the tulip and flower industry..."  "Art, as I've mentioned with advanced remote viewing it is hard to get the time and place exactly correct." "Indeed, you are correct. Listeners...Ed Dames...he called another one!"

It is a surest thing I've ever seen. I've already remortgaged my grachtenpand to take advantage of this next stock market lock! (Lock was not an attempt at a pun.)
