Just for fun, I decided to see what laws were likely to be passed. Supposing that the correct information is that there is minimal risk to anybody under 50. What will the Senate pass?

Let's see... The median age of a senator is 66.5 years old. The number under 50? 15. Then number over 50? 85. Yeah. They are going to vote to reopen the country and put their lives in jeopardy The charge to reopen America will be spearheaded by the 5 senators over 80. 

As of March 25, 2020, 5 senators are in their 80s, 18 are in their 70s, 32 are in their 60s, 30 are in their 50s, 14 are in their 40s, and 1 is in his 30s.

I could also see more testing or physicals required either by insurance companies or the government at least once a year or penalties imposed. Really the possibilities are endless for increased government regulation. The masses are in hysteria mode, the media feeding into it. In reality prior to the 60s outbreaks of disease were common place and no one raided shelves of  every toilet paper roll they could lay eyes on. The complete over reaction and grinding halt of the world economy and general disruption of life is absurd. I understand some people are completely terrified to die of a virus that is almost exclusively fatal for  the at risk population. Every time this is brought up it’s countered by point to the few incidents of younger healthy incidents but the numbers just don’t support the few cases that have been proven of the young healthy. Plus social distancing isn’t even working just drive by a grocery store, park, beach, etc. What’s the fucking point if no one listens, as this drags in less and less people are going to abide.

That and there is a large population who feels like fuck it, living locked up in a cage isn’t a life worth living. It is not worth the price of putting the economy in Grapes if Wrath style depression over  slightly over a 100 deaths in America. Also, it’s completely unacceptable the government is telling people where to go, who to talk to, and even what views are acceptable. I feel like it’s the fucking Soviet States of America’s right now.
