This is why I supported the legal move to force eHarmony and other non-religious dating sites to provide LGBT options.  PBS, you should be able to search out somebody with an outlook on life, sexuality, and lifestyle (plus looks) that you want in your mate.  Those algorithms really work, or so I hear.

Yes totally.  I always thought the show should've been shut down the day Art left.  Keeping it running with the same name, same opening/closing songs, along with those weak Art tie-ins, ugh, was just an insult to all those who supported the show from the start.  I think it's part of what set up the great Heather backlash, as alot of subscribers thought it was basically a huge bait-n-switch. 

Art's legacy?  It's all the great shows he left behind, and his overall impact on radio - not some half-ass podcast that never got off the ground.  I'm all for trying new hosts, new shows, etc., but please let's just allow this one to be a quirky footnote to history.

Remember how Coast introduced Mike Siegel? On his last few broadcasts, Art interviewed some of the old standby guests. Then when Siegel started, he interviewed the same guests. Then he got a cat. He was set up for failure. Much the same as with Heather.

I wonder what it means that Heather took away the chance for a fill in host? But later, Keith says he’s looking for a replacement host.
I hope he finds someone good.
Also, great job in understanding EDT.

Heather refused to allow a fill-in host, preventing MITD from airing live shows, resulting in Keith having to air replays that were already available to its subscribers.  I would bet that violated the terms of her contract.  Keith said he was consulting attorneys over this matter last week. 

I'm not clear on why Keith could not just have disregarded Heather's wishes and gotten a fill-in host anyhow, however.
