What are you, a military robot sent from the future to cockblock me? Leave me out of this.

My friend, you are assuming, of course, that you pack the gear required to be blocked.

Your last two sentences are the best. This is me, too. I want to trust something in life, and I want to trust words. I want to trust my instincts.

For my own sanity, I present these two transcripts. If you remember the early fun days of the Bella-Haven movement, there was such joy. This is not that.

PS These files are not politically correct or safe for children or other sensitive living things.
Good grief!  Art and Redacted are getting ripped too?????????  That's unconscionable!
Well, at least I'm in good company.

there is a way to prevent someone from using your name on the chat.
use the register command:
/ns register <password> <email address>
once that is done you can set the kill setting (the server will change the nick unless you are on its ip access list, or use the identify command)
/ns set kill on
this gives one minute to use the identify command or the server will change the users nick
/ns identify <password> is that command.
you will need to use the identify command each time you connect to the server, this is a security measure.

Too many steps for a guy like me.

I'm not sure that in the years I've been away from IRC that registering a name has been improved, I hope I'm wrong. However, that does not stop variations of the same name or using nicknames. Even IP addresses can be spoofed.

We may just have to come up with a way to verify people in chat. I would enjoy calling in tonight if the opportunity presents itself. Hopefully my somewhat new Bluetooth headset is functional for this, as I've only received the standard that it sounds like you are in your car. I don't like my Note2 next to my face, and the home phones suck.

-I was out like a light for the bigfoot show. Got up at 2et and went to bed.

Maybe we can discuss belief and how it influences outcomes and opinions? I've been through a lot and it is certainly something I'd wanted to talk about since we had the OBE/Preston show I think. Your beliefs have an impact on the world around you.

Regarding our lovely guests in the chat. I won't necessarily say they are from dave. Sure he is a scapegoat (and for good reason) but it seems to me like someone is really really upset they did not get a certain potentially coveted job. That's where the attacks were aimed. How much of it is directed and how much it is the modern internet troll  is unknown. I would need more data. Also, I know there is a fan war going on, and maybe some people are just taking up arms and trying for what they see as low-hanging fruit.

We may have had channel wars in my day, but sometimes the internet is getting ridiculous.

We'd know this guy for he, no matter what he called himself. An impostor wouldn't stand a chance.

I was actually surprised that there was nobody online with nuke powers... it was clearly meant to disrupt and annoy... and they were back last eve - wr250 and others watched... the cmd line/shell is your friend...

Not bad,  You can sew me up anytime.

And, it's not even finished. It's a forever way of patching things up and keeping your very favorite items of clothing. Boro boro boro!

On the other hand there are children out there that get off on causing hurt and decent.  Got some weird contest or something going on. Young wannabe hackers that know just enough to get in trouble but not enough to get them out of it lol. Amateurs!

Hey Nancy, looks like we made the big time!   ;)
I'm only a quarter of the way, scrolling down the transcript.  Three screen names stand out as being particularly venomous.  They are:

Hoageyrules.
sallyanne.
zip.

I've barely scratched the surface of this transcript reading.  I'll be back later.

The idea was to keep a full archive of the chat from Art's show, make it easier to read instead of missing something when it scrolls past at the speed of light, And to have Mv's ads showing so they can help pay for all this. Now with that being said, if it should prove to be a distraction or just a meeting place for wannabe hackers with nothing better to do than try to piss people off when they should be sleeping, maybe dropping the live chat isn't such a bad idea. Might be a lot less heartache.

Remember though, that the live chat provides people with a vehicle to ask questions of the host and guests. *sigh*

Maybe 'we' should do a strategic withdrawal.   But it does piss me off that a couple of Davebots have that kind of leverage against us.  Maybe Nuke powers could be delegated by Nancy?  I'm not there that often, but I have no qualms against putting the barrel of my sidearm against some traitorous bastards head and pulling the trigger.
