It's also rather amazing that no nukes have been used in war or terrorism

#1) You sure about that?

#2) Irrespective of actual use of such weapons, the threat of such weapon use is routinely used to compel the populace in a myriad of ways.

Once I again I submit the notion, that there is not necessarily anything "good" about these alleged exogenous forces and their unwillingness to allow the Earth to become an irradiated wasteland overnight. Like, duh, they have bases here, right? Surely they'd like to have time to evacuate their own people if Ze Hyoo-Mons are going to start splitting atoms.

One will note, however, that there does not seem to be the same urgency by these forces to stop chemical weapons, biological weapons, conventional weapons, scalar weapons, high energy weapons, et cetera... it just seems to be the atom smashing that gets the attention of mysterious balls of energy that hover over military bases, knocking out all their shiz.

Also, Good Aliens are an explanation for the fact that we aren't all still digging gold for the big-headed aliens in the black hoods.

I'm still not clear on what happened two nights ago (Wednesday I think), the night of the davebot attack.  Last night Nancy mentioned that brig, Serenity, and I were involved in the nasty banter that ruined chat for that night.

I wasn't there, so I'm just asking about what happened?  Were brig, Serenity, and I attacked?  Did davebots enter the room using our names?

Yes, this has been bothering me, and if someone used my name in chat, there may be a connection to the person that posted bad stuff in my name which got me banned from the other forum.  Of course, I could just be over reacting.  I hope it's the latter.  Over reacting is easier for me to rein it.

Ok, I love youz guys.  See ya tonight. ;)

The colors are so pretty! I'm such an optimist. Let's legalize pot! Together we can do it!

Hugs Nancy.  Whom ever told you I hated you is a liar!.  I don't hate, period.  Yeah, I can get pissed and grumble in formal Pirateese, then get over it and move on.

I just want you to know this. ;)

It was never lawful to criminalize it in the first place. William Randolph Hearst can lick on my (redacted) and suck on my (redacted). Twice.

Yeah, I kinda remember hearing something like that .. it caught my attention cause my name was mentioned with it also.  I couldn't tell exactly who Nancy thought was attacking or being attacked ...  in my heart-of-hearts, I feel that Nancy knows we are part of her bellgab network of buddies who love and honor her; and would never hurt her.

Middle of the night live chat rooms sure seem to draw people with strange energies ... here is a tune dedicated to them!   I also seem to remember that there were comments on here about people using whatever name they choose in the live chats -- but its pretty easy to see patterns of of how they communicate in those threads ... and that they are not the real person.   I just worry that now that we are open about this - the frauds and davebots will try to sabotage even more now ... but LOVE will prevail!

Wait! This is an important way to figure out this whole thing. So smart to notice this. I have both night's chats permanently preserved in nice clean text files, and just for fun and historical accurateness, I'm going to put together a petri dish on tonight's show page. Those whose social instincts are highly honed might want to thumb through the full chat files from all the early days of Bella-Haven.

The last two nights stand out in start relief, and Zenman noticed this from the OP position, which gave him tools, and thank gods for this. Why did they suddenly show up and attack specific people here so severely? They think they know us. That's pretty creepy.

You, starr, are the first criss-cross of trolling, and herein we will investigate.

You did. You were right. I just love the technology and wanted to learn it. Now I know.

Welding looks like a good thing to learn next. Welding and soldering.

How's your suturing?

there is a way to prevent someone from using your name on the chat.
use the register command:
/ns register <password> <email address>
once that is done you can set the kill setting (the server will change the nick unless you are on its ip access list, or use the identify command)
/ns set kill on
this gives one minute to use the identify command or the server will change the users nick
/ns identify <password> is that command.
you will need to use the identify command each time you connect to the server, this is a security measure.

thanks x 10!!!  I did this for both chat rooms; and I really love being able to use these type commands ... they remind me of old time Unix .... Nancy, if I were a night person ... I'd be the moderator / system admin for your Bella-Haven stuff (i.e. chat etc)  in a heartbeat ... darn real-life day-jobs

you only need to do it once, it will span both (or all if more rooms are made) .
and IRC is one of the 1st network programs to exist on the proto internet, along with bbs boards , usenet and email.

Your last two sentences are the best. This is me, too. I want to trust something in life, and I want to trust words. I want to trust my instincts.

For my own sanity, I present these two transcripts. If you remember the early fun days of the Bella-Haven movement, there was such joy. This is not that.

PS These files are not politically correct or safe for children or other sensitive living things.

Welding is fun to learn.  I took an Art Welding class at my local community college a while back.  My welding was crap and my art was crap, but it really helped in getting over my fear of fire and there were all sorts of really weird characters and bizarrely talented people in the class.

Most interesting reading. Seems Someone trying to drive small wedge in large crevasse lol. In the immortal words of Bugs Bunny "he don't know me very well, do he?"
