Good morning one and all (Brig, Serenity, PBS ... my lovely regular buddies!!!)

... well my day person is a no-show ... so Ms_C will be whining about doing 12 hours (yup, 7am-7pm) in the Command Center on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and every other Thursday ...until we hire and train again ....

I am on my 2nd cup of coffee and happy to see that I have lots to listen to ... Art, Hoagie, Bella-Haven ... yay for this. Not sure which I should listen to first.

Oh and thanks so much wr250 -- now I don't have to be scared to go into the B-H Chat when I wake up at 3 a.m. -- for I know that creeps will be vanished thanks to you teaching Nancy some tricks of the trade

lol's Nancy, yeah, I never watched 'I dream of Jeanie" type stuff on TV at all. I watched kids cartoons, even as I got older. I watched the news, before internet news became available. I watch C-Span, and C-Span 2. I used to watch the Shirley Temple Movies, and Daphne DuMaurier Movies, Jane Eyre and movies like that. I watch movies like "The DaVinci Code" and I do like the DaVincis Demons series, and True Detective. Other than that, I am NOT a Hollywood fan. Hollywood is in the same category as Main Stream News in my book, if you get my drift.

Nancy, I know you SAY that you NEED the live chat, but please remember this about "live chats" Just because people post stuff there, doesn't mean its true, and people are often not who they say they are. Some people just enjoy being lurkers, Other lurkers only purpose is to keep things off topic and chaotic, and others enjoy being lurkers and imposters for the sole purpose of stirring up trouble trouble boil and bubble. Different strokes for different folks. I'm a live and let live person, NOT a "control" person. I enjoy all the different diversities in our world of unique, individual people. I'm only bringing it up because although you say you need the live chat, it sounds like some of the things you read upset you.........OFTEN, and it makes me sad to hear that! I don't care what people say about me in your live chat. IF I did, I would set my alarm clock to make sure I was there to read everything. The reason I actually avoid your live chat now is because I am not sure if people are still saving copies of the chat, but if it IS still being saved, and someone posts in it under my name, there will be no doubt it is NOT me, because I do not attend it. When I type here in the thread, you KNOW it's me! (NOT to mention, it makes MV MONEY)

There, now that's all I'm going to say about that.

Following on with this there are very little ways in IRC to say that anyone is who they say they are. Any name can be taken quite easily. At least when I was using it prior to 2001. You can probably tell posting style or verify in other ways.

Yeah, sometimes, when I log into a gabcast, or a SpecSheet live chat as brig, I see someone there called _brig once in a while lol's There are some gabbers who are MASTERS of impersonating typing styles I can tell ya

nancy: you need to stay OUT of chat.. period.. focus on the show, believe me, it desperately needs it..

I have heard a few episodes where I felt the same as you. Pretty much agree with you and sugar hill, "support group for insomniacs" which would include me.
Hopefully there are enough of us insomniacs around to to be a "support group" for Nancy.

A few thoughts about the chat for you, Brig and others to consider. Bella-Haven currently has a handful of live listeners. Nancy's brain and mouth work at warp speed. In the space of a single sentence she can convey many thoughts and ideas.

So reading the chat at times keeps her focused, provides ideas for her to talk about and also entertains us handful of insomniacs.

Also Nancy at times goes off on tangents of multi steams of consciousness. Us live listeners being mere mortals, can only comprehend just so much new information nightly, and we just hunker down in the chat room to take a break until the storm blows over.
