Good evening Mr. Star. Solitary Man. You know I hate John B. I guess no accounting for taste

Love Neil Diamond.....can't take too much of John B.

Let's get to the program!

I didn't know that. Do you hate him, or do you hate his show?

I've never met him. Maybe he's just a huge dick.

I'm reasonably confident that George Knapp is an officer and a gentleman. Never met him, either, alas.

I only saw 3 of them.  Of the 3, I like The Martian the best but that was never going to win.  The Academy generally doesn't choose sci-fi flicks for the big awards.  Also saw  Bridge of Spies but it could have been a tighter film.  Yes, the Revenant had the best cinematography. DiCaprio finally looked like a man in a film but the performance was rather limited to grunts and sounds.  I thought he'd win anyway because Hollywood loves DiCaprio.

I skipped the awards as the only nominee I really cared anything about was Stallone and he lost.  Back in the day, the Oscars were great but those days are gone as are those stars.
I forgot The Martian was nominated. Saw that and read the book. Since I saw two I must be cultured. I feel better now

This guest makes a lot of assumptions.

Hate him on his show. Gave him a chance when he took Ian's place. But my hate flourished quickly

Sucks ass there was no dark city. Sucks ass none of the people I know had an oscar party. Hell none of them new the Oscars were today. I goina go home and keep drinking and will BBQ a steak. You all have a great night.

I saw all the nominated films, with the exception of The Room. My pick for Best Picture is The Revenant and Leo deserves Best Actor. Amazing performance. He`s one of the truly great actors of our time, in my opinion.

Best wishes, ak

I never cared much for Wells.  I never bothered to check out Caravan To Midnight.  All the chicks seemed to love his deep sexy voice but I was meh.  He inserted too much politics into the show.  I'm sure with Noory's approval

I think my favorite movie of his is The Aviator. Good film.

No one cares much about the Oscars anymore.  Who wants to watch a bunch of stuff about how Hollywood is racist?   No thanks.  Take care, AK.

That is now my third favorite. First is The Revenant and second is The Departed

I was pretty impressed with him in Blood Diamond.  That must've been a hard movie to make.  He kept in character the whole film.

x2. exhausting nonsense.

Just heard a clip of DiCaprio's acceptance speech, warning us not to take our planet for granted.  So let's see, racism and global warming were checked off.  Who carried the LGBT banner at the show?

Tonight's guest Paul Davids was on with Hoagland when OSOM first started. It was one of his best shows. Davids mentioned that Ackerman made contact from beyond the grave but he didn't elaborate much. This should be good!

That's where I must've heard it!  I was having the strangest sense of déjà vu with the printer story.

If it makes you feel better, you just surpassed me.  All I saw was Mad Max and read the first few chapters of The Martian before throwing it at the wall when he was going on about potato irrigation formulas.

There was a movie about a guy living as a woman.

The Departed was done well, but didn't care for it. Not the right role for Leo, maybe. I dunno.

I did like Blood Diamond. Leo was great in it, but Djimon Hounsou really stood out for me. Pretty intense. That got me thinking of Hotel Rwanda for some reason. If it wasn't so late, I'd have to watch a movie.

One of the big winners (I forget which movie) actually dedicated their speech to the LGBT community.

I'm writing a screenplay featuring a transgender single mom fighting to stop oppression after a nuclear meltdown.  Oscar guaranteed.

Is that the one with Eddie Redmayne? I think I skipped that one because of the subject. I like Redmayne, but call me ignorant. I couldn't care less about a movie about a sex change. Just doesn't affect me enough to give it my attention.
