Well, my friend, you know I could tell you, but then I'd have to....well, you know...

Seriously, as you know, I have an interest in the subject that dates way back, even spanning  my time in the  service. I held a very high clearance, and always kept my eyes peeled --even tried to poke around a little bit as much as possible -- but never came across anything of real interest.

*laughs*  Sounds familiar.  That's why I got a kick out of the next-to-last caller last night who claimed he, and every member of the US military, was/has been trained in how to deal with UFO sightings/landings/contact. Considering the millions of men and women who've proudly served since the late 40s, you'd have thought at least one of them would have blown the whistle before last night.  Guess last night's caller finally cracked under the pressure and went public.

George Knapp returns on Sunday - February 21, 2016.

Nafeez Ahmed will talk about the Dept. of Defense plans to increase their surveillance to include social media.

Daniel Simone will discuss his book about Henry Hill.

I saw the ESPN 30 for 30 show Playing for the Mob about the Boston College basketball point shaving scandal.

Henry Hill was interviewed on the program. The glamorous light that he had from the movie Goodfellas wore thin

after seeing this.

George Knapp returns on Sunday - February 21, 2016.

Our local station starts the program at 1:00AM... I looked at the date on my computer, matched it up with the date in your post was was profoundly disappointed when Connie Willis (Lisa Garr?) came from my speakers. I can't say that it was on long enough for me to find out which it was.

More proof that they need to hire only male hosts for paranormal talk?  (Of course, I would have been even more disappointed if it were Jorch's voice.)

Garr is terrible.......

Willis is OK.....but, she needs to get serious.

KNAPP TONIGHT!!!!  HOORAAYYY!!!!!   (Even though the topics are not my fav.......Knapp WILL make the program interesting and engaging, as always.)

TigerLily

Cats in. Jammies on. Hot chocolate ready. All set for Knapp Night  :)

Hellooooo, TigerLily. How are you? Just turned on The Knapp Man and pretty sure I won't/can't fall asleep on him...or sleep with the fishes, as is the subject tonight apparently.

I agree.  Knapp is the best of the weekend hosts.  By far.  Connie has gotten better, however:  last show she did, she didn't giggle nearly as much.

I like Dave Schrader and Jimmy Church too.

Hi, Faustina. Author of new book on the Goodfellas' big Lufthansa robbery on now. Interesting stuff. Knapp is excellent.

Ha.  I'm a bit disappointed George let the last caller go.  A black kid who dealt with Lucky Luciano should be given more respect!

He had a few chances to explain his connection with these mob guys but didn't want to say. Got cold feet or something. George had to let him go.

So Ahmed was fired for writing something about Israel? Nothing anti-Semetic to see here, move along.

I believe George thought he was full of it, hence the sarcastic "Sorry you got screwed out of the movie" bit in reference to the caller's claim.

Yup. I like George's style a lot. C2C with George Knapp is everything MITD should be. Everything that goes around...you know? I'm okay with it, especially at this late date.

He's an award-winning investigative reporter:  Knapp doesn't miss much.

Jung as a CIA agent makes sense. How did I not see that coming? This is, like, my thing. Oh well, nobody's perfect.

For some reason, the bumper "I fought the law" had a "Ramones feel" to it, but did not sound like Joey... Turns out it was the clash- but it really does seem like a song that the Ramones should have recorded.

Anyhow, on my search, I found a version supposedly of Tommy Ramone (when he was "uncle Monk.)  Not many views- but it is interesting just the same.  Punk to bluegrass reminds of metal (punk?) with (supposed) opera... Enter a JOB's version of Sepultura's roots featuring a non-existent Pavarotti.  The mind wandering tells me it is bed time.  Enjoy.

Enjoyed the first segment immensely.  As I've said before Knapp is at his best doing true crime shows, especially those Mafia related.  Wanted to like the second guest, but his anti-Semetic inference early on put paid to him very quickly. So long Ahmed.  Disappointing Knapp would even have a guy like this on, a little vetting goes a long way, George.

Yeah, that first Goodfellas segment was excellent. Then I somehow got distracted during the next guest's appearance, which was a good thing from what you say. Vetting saves lots of trouble.

I couldn't get into the topics last nite so did a rare thing and bailed on a whole Knapp show.  Hope he's back next Sun.

Same.  With Knapp in Vegas, it's a natural for him to do crime and syndicate type stuff but I like Knapp doing the para.

Hey, isn't it about time for Knapp to have Paulides back?  I'd like to see what his MO is now.  Some interesting cases but with Paulides, well, uh, you know.

I dunno, DP kinda lost me last time when he pivoted into urban cases.  It kind of undermined his nat'l park stories imho.  Still, if he's on w/ Knapp, I'll listen.

Hi VoP and other Knappy Heads. Enjoyed the gangster stories, fell asleep during the second half. I guess I didn't miss much?

I agree.....not one of my favorite topics......so, I bailed halfway through.  However, KNAPP IS BACK THIS SUNDAY WITH GOOD STUFF!!!!

Paulides appears to be jerking things around to make things seem to be more than they are but ,what the hey, nothing new there for a Coast show.  They're still creepy stories to hear in the middle of the night.

Well IO you were hoping for David Paulides, but instead tomorrow you're getting Paul Davids.  Pretty close!  ;)  Looks like a potentially cool show in any case.

Ha, yes.  Thankfully, it doesn't include Dave Noorie.

Pioneering promoter of sci-fi books and films, the late Forrest J. Ackerman, never believed in an afterlife of the soul; nonetheless, he promised a few respected colleagues that if it were to turn out that he was wrong, he would try to send messages from the Other Side. Author, UFO researcher, and filmmaker, Paul Davids, joins George Knapp to describe in hair-raising detail Ackerman's numerous unusual and uncanny messages from beyond, including impressive scientific support of an afterlife. First hour guest, filmmaker Keith Arem, discusses the unsolved disappearance case of four Phoenix residents who went missing (video link) the night of the "Phoenix Lights" in March 1997.

I really respect Knapp as a host.  That said, I opine that tonight's bosh is more befitting Noory or Garr.  I really hope the first hour guest brings his A game.

Tonight's guest Paul Davids was on with Hoagland when OSOM first started. It was one of his best shows. Davids mentioned that Ackerman made contact from beyond the grave but he didn't elaborate much. This should be good!

coaster

that does sound like a good show.
