Any of you been in the lobby of a massage parlor or, maybe, a brothel?

Don't they redact the addresses at the last names on the workers' licenses?

Discuss amongst yourselves.

there is a valuable life lesson to be learned about this whole Midnight in the  Desert and Art Bell experience

Art Bell is supposedly worth 10 million dollars yet he did not spend promotion money to take care of his show's return.  Why, you ask?

Other people were willing to love his baby more than he did. So while he was down at the corner turning tricks, somebody else was watching his baby. If Art Bell ever decides to do a program again, he will just seek out a group of people who will enable him. With his fame, I am sure there will be many coattail riding wannabes who will gladly jump on the SS Titanic for a three hour tour.

The moral of the story? Maybe it is that no one should ever love a baby more than its own parent.

That's good, that's really good. You could be one of those old Bible guys.

I have lost a lot respect for Bateman. He took advantage of the situation. Heather had her hands tied with the network and the show, and couldn't say much while Bateman went straight for mud-slinging.
I find he retains information to use for future mud-slinging. For someone who says he doesn't like drama, it doesn't bode well when you are a repetitive mud-slinger. He seemed to be in a peculiar situation (getting calls from Heather when she might have been airing out grievances and stress from the show). That shouldn't have been made public, and it's just mud-slinging to bring that up and calling it meltdowns. A meltdown is when someone doesn't come out of the shit-show in the same standing. Therefore, Heather might have had a shit-show on the phone with him, but it wasn't a meltdown. Using the word "meltdown" was hurtful and vindictive. Calling her a lunatic was super low.
Was rattling Bateman's cage a dick move? Yeah, but I also get a feeling that if Bateman said "Yeah, I want the show" she would have seriously taken that into consideration and help get his foot through the door. Instead Bateman seems to be butt-hurt about not being approached before Heather for the show's reigns to start with. He has a lot of vitriol for Heather's show on this GabCast. It comes out as unhealthy disdain.
I remember he did the same mud-slinging when Noory sent him PM messages here at BG. It's just an opportunist who likes to air that kind of stuff out in public. It's shallow and self-serving only. Those were private conversations between Heather and Bateman.
Yeah Heather looked bad on this Gabcast, but she took the high road and would have been super stupid to do otherwise. Bateman hit below the belt and it sucks because I thought they were friends at one time. She seems to have been betrayed by many one-time friends.
Although its Gabcast, it is still a public forum and cast. There needs to civility and professionalism and Bateman crossed the line and I can't listen to non-professionals, so his outburst cost me as a listener to his show.

She responded to things Bateman posted. You might not agree with what she said or how she said it, but she was provoked by a couple of posts that Batemen had decided to air.

I enjoy your musings. Would you start the discussion, please?

Okay, when the time is right. I'm not sure we've reached critical mass yet, like we did recently on the loyalty thing (a missed opportunity which will come again). We need a few more relevant posts. I predict that we'll get them because Heather will not go quietly into the desert.

Also, that voice of hers (like that sickly sweet cloud thing from Star Trek which descends on standers-by) will somehow manage to seduce some more people, at least temporarily. A healthy dose of Klingon nerve gas would fix them right up.

EDIT:

We seem to be getting there fast.

Eh. I guess we are supposed to feel bad now. Arts doing the whole guilt trip thing.
I feel bad for anyone who spent money to help and support him. He turns around and shits on them. Thats sad.

Yeah, pathetic... A drama queen on a guilt trip.

So Art had nothing else to quit so he quit bellgab for redacted?

can we hurry up and change the name already? starting to feel dirty being on a site with Art's name associated with it.

By the way, why were Curtis and the co-hosts repeatedly interrupting Heather and Bateman - they did make a few relevent interjections but they mostly derailed the conversation.  I don't think anyone was thinking 'this is a good conversation between (Redacted) and Bateman, but I'd sure like to hear a pointless interruption from one of the co-hosts right now'.

i thought the hosts were fine.

There's lots of begetting, so that part works. You will have to come up with equally or more profound things to say on a regular basis, which is harder than the begetting part. And you don't want to disappoint the Main Man. I say go for it.

I guess I should have checked your online status before quitting for you.  Very inconvenient when you show up within 5 minutes of my posting your resignation.

Providing you caught Arts latest FB post where he resigned Red from Bellgab, I would say you have missed nothing.

I hope the advertisers are being told the truth about listenership.  I don't mind seeing this Tit-manic sink.

Me, too.  If they're not, that's grounds for legal action.  Unfair and illegal to sell ad space on a radio show saying your ad is being broadcast on 40 terrestrial radio stations when, in reality, it's only 12.  It's misrepresentation, big time.
