Did you like the "And The Rest" comment? I forgot how long "the movies star and the rest...." went on for.

Anyway, I've had too many infuriating conversations with these fools. I know one of their favorite lines is "I'm sorry. Ve von't be able to help vid dat one." This guy just used a variant.
8)  Yeah, LOL.  "And the rest" was just in the first season.  Bob Denver went to the executives and fought them to have the Professor and Mary Ann added by the second season.  They fought it, but he eventually won.

I got my radio working!!!  They are even sending me a new power cord because the one I got was chewed up by my father's evil wife's dog.  They even offered to send me a whole new radio.  I've got the Coffee House playing right now.  Nice fidelity.

Getting the internet feed is not going as smoothly.  It seems my Mac is too old and I may have to break down and install a new version.  They say they have a work around. We will see.

If he thinks that's your real name, and that's the reaon he sent you a PM with nothing but that name in it, how creepy is that?!?   It's like the movie 'I Saw What You Did and I Know Who You Are.'

It's like he's trying to threaten or intimidate you.  He might report you to the authoritahs!  Does he want you to think Homeland Security's going to knock on your front door because a cat lady called his show and told him she has two gemini cats?

I had similar thoughts, concerning Bateman's peculiar PM from Dave.  Kind of creepy.  So now a supposed kind of "celebrity," with apologies to all real celebrities, sends a bizarre, cryptic message to one of his listeners?  Isn't this kind of behavior usually the other way around?  Talk about reverse weirdness.  What's next?  Sending a hoard of paparazzi to bug Bateman?  ::)

Oh, dear.  It sounds like he went to the George Noory School of Broadcasting Excellence.

Ah, yes.  The famous (or is that infamous, only Dave would know) Dave Noorie Broadcasting Shschool (B.S.).

Looks like it's doing as well as The Cafe Marrakesh and Oasis Bar.

I had this feeling of a veiled threat as well.  Oh please!  Grow up Noorey.  It's all over.  We are moving on.

If only it had valet parking, it would have been (in)famous!

Have you found it yet, Herbalizer?

Ya Morgus...I found pretty much what you described. But I was listening via SXM computer player Canada for 2 hours, not touching the keyboard or mouse, with no timer going off. I hope that happens tomarrow night. I wake for work at 430 am, so my evenings are kind of short. Dont really want to stay up to 11 or 12...In any case, they will probably have a replay handy that I could record from the next day, if I wanted. Of course, being the first night, Im hanging in there until Art signs off.

I love the various directions this thread has taken over the years.  With the latest being the George Noory / satellite radio technical support forum it must signal the end of Noory for most of us.  George can give a "shout out" to coastgab and upon arrival, his listners will find that the section of the board once dedicated to Noory has moved on to support one another in how best to sign up for and start receiving streaming broadcasts.

hahaha I was actually thinking along the same lines as I've been reading this today. Thousands of years from now the data archeologists will come upon this thread, learn how we all hated George, and how he became Dave, and then our messiah Art returned and we all helped each other with satellite radio so we could escape the evil Dave and his minion Tommy, and then thread was deserted as we all made our escape.

Yes, I read too much scifi when I was a kid.

LOL!  They will conclude that we were some kind of post-Christian religious cult.  Future generations will tell of us for thousands of years.  They will argue about whether we were Raptured, or we actually escaped into the desert to hide out until the end of days.

Exactly! Dissertations will be written, academic feuds breaking out over who exactly the coastgabbers and bellgabbers actually were, when and why they changed, how long the holy war lasted, the 10 years of wandering in the desert... The mind boggles.

hahaha

Now that's shtrange.  I had three devices working at once because I was curious if it would work.  I had two computers and one internet radio all shtreaming the show at the same time.

Attempting to logon with a 2nd device displays an error message indicating I am logged on already on another device. I suspect they (Sirius/XM) tracks IP addresses thus the refusal to allow me to connect. I believe I read somewhere on their website additional devices could be added for 3 or 4 dollars each per month.

They'll argue about whether the coastgabbers and bellgabbers were rival sects.  The coastgabbers didn't believe that the promised one, Art Bell, would truly return to save them.  The bellgabbers were the devout ones, the oracles and prophets, who predicted the date of Art's return by reading messages in ancient Sand Script.

Don't forget....The Shroud of Urine!

Once the sat connections and/or other connectivity issues are resolved the thread should return to all things Noory. As terrestrial stations continue to drop off substituting political/trucker talk radio desperate aging housewives will continue to praise George thus pushing him along and eventually off the edge into acute alcoholism and self-destruction. My humble opinion of course.

George does suck if he is stalking Bateman. Bateman is one cool dude. Bateman is just a Hard working dude. Does Comrade Obama nees to have a beer summit with Captain Noory and Bateman??

Nope definitely the Inja office.

I downloaded the 30-day free trial and I am listening to the Jay Thompson show.  The first words that I heard spoken were "Bottom Feeder."  Where have I read words like that before?

That's George's pet name for me!!!

I guess its a legitimate question now....

Where do we go from here?
Do we stay here?
Mass migrate to another thread, maybe named "Dark Matter"?

It would be kinda neat to put some comment out there as Art interviewed.

Just my preference...Id rather have one continuous thread, than have it separated by guest or date...

And...its been a long time since Ive laughed so hard - at some of the posts that you guys / gals wrote.
One time I was laughing so hard my tummy hurt. So I try to get out of my chair, so Im not looking at the screen.
But I cant get out of the chair-- because Im laughing so hard!!!

So its been a blast.

Well.... I listened for quite a while, and had two stations going.  Now I get "Stream stopped, you are no longer authorized to listen" on one.  However if I hit play again, it plays.  It has stopped a few times now with this notice, but if I hit play again it will play for a while.

I get that all the time on my laptop. I thought they addressed that problem. If I recall, it was a browser problem. I just hit refresh, no worries. On your laptop, it will also time out if you walk away for too long a period of time.

Insecurity is a scary thing.  Why doesnt George just think about the 10 new listeners that C2C gets everyday and be proud that he gets any type of publicity.

Oops, I forgot about the Time magazine article.  Having your poor job performance described in a national magazine is not good.

It's seriously creepy that Noory is cyberstalking Bateman. But then isn't that his MO from Fantastic Forums: log on and be all friendly, but drop the cease and desist if everyone doesn't kiss up? This sounds like a creepy "I know who you are" notice. I thought Noory was so interested in privacy and free speech. Guess not when it becomes personal.

My two cents: the Snooron signed a long term contract. This thread will go one. It's like a book, albeit a very poor one, where the annotations eclipse the content. As long as he's there, someone will be listening and need a place to record the suckage. I have faith in GNS.

I hope so!  I usually do not post to anything but this is fun.  And, everyone is so witty and not particularly vicious.  When George was on, everyone was polite.   I love to read this thread after a long day of selling cupcakes.  The cupcake world is its own private hell.
