We flew up to Barter Island, to a little Native Eskimo village.  They harvest a couple whales in the fall and then drag them out to the spit for the polar bears to munch on them.  The bears are very accessible and quite dangerous.  I didn't get that close.  I just zoomed in.  I wanted to get close but those bears can move fairly fast.

yep, you just have to come by and check the player while its recording, at 90min intervals, when a pop up will appear and give you 5min to click it or the stream will stop.

That makes it kind of difficult to record if you're not available.  No way around the 90-minute check-in?

The Total Recorder I use has a timer/ scheduler on it, located under tools...
I would think it would not need the 90 minute check.
When Ive tested it on lengthy recordings I dont think that happened...

Ill test again tomarrow and post to be - absolutely- sure.

I just got it a few days ago....

It does record from the SXM player...

The 90 minute snafu may be because youre using the straight "record" function rather than the timer....

Again, I will check it out tomarrow....

Try this. Go to channels. Look for the Indie Channel. This is the logo. Shows up on my channel area. Click on Indie Channel...Look for Names of Shows. Not sure if that helps. But this logo appears at the top of my screen.

Ok, on mine, Art's show appears in lineup on Indie Channel. Someone posted it wasn't available in Canada yet...? No idea. Sorry I can't be of more help.
