Sure, George sucks.  But, do you think he knows he sucks?  Or do you think he thinks he is a "great host"?  Do the "yes people" tell him he's great all day so now he believes it?  Oh that's probably Tommy's job.

But, seriously, how can George not realize he sucks?

There are 25 million subscribers now. I am sure a percentage of them will be happy to have Art. SiriusXM did a butt load of sweeping shows out a month or so ago, including noory.

I don't think SXM is looking at Art to bring in a bunch (could be wrong). I think they brought him in as a superior product to what they had been offering.

I noticed the pruning around a month ago on SiriusXM. It was all dead wood channels and shows for such small niches they couldn't break even, but the paranormal is a big niche, people can't get enough of it. Even the History Channel turned into the Ancient Astronaut channel when they saw the profits.

Some posters worry about how many subscribers Art will pull in, and that's a valid point, but I think if he keeps people on SiriusXM and renewing their subscriptions, that's also a win for the station. Right now, they are promoting his show with one minute in-house adverts, but when September rolls around, they'll probably go into high gear promotions. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised to see Art's face turn up on a NYC bus or bus shelter.

If Prem Rat was smart, they'd do the same but the overwhelming impression I get about them is that they like their listeners to be misinformed and gullible. The higher the paranoia, the more money for their advertisers.

I choose to interpret Jorch's selection of the koala bear avatar as a tacit admission of the fact that he sucks.  Bonus points to Jorch for acknowledging that, as with his koala bear avatar, he's mentally challenged, lazy, has mommy issues, and bullies internet forums by grunting, and excreting putrescent substances from his moobs.

I won't even discuss the fact that koalas, like other marsupials, have bifurcated penises.  That would be a step too far.

With that in mind, the avatar below was one of Noories classhics, IMO.

Odd choice for a man so obsessed with decency, and promoting a "G" rated lifestyle in all mediums, even if it means censorship.Yet in his next breath will claim to be a strong believer in the 1st amendment. Hypocrite much?

It saddens me that people who are real, honest, hard working are struggling in this business while the corporate shills rain supreme. Fame doesn't make you special. Being a good person does. So the whole thing is sad.

I'm sorry.  I didn't realize National Geographic wildlife documentaries were offensive.  Some people like to place a strategic fig leaf over the anatomical correctness of Michelangelo's David, too.  I don't judge them, I just don't understand them very well.

It's the let's give Dave another chance thread. He came in here and all. Reminds me of the everyone is a winner crap. When I was growing up we had winners and losers. Now all kids get trophies. Maybe I am raised on too much George Carlin:) And I am 37.

I can't keep up either.... I log in and im 20-30 pages behind... kinda sux I never wanted to use the ignore feature but some of this shit sounds more like teenage boy back and forth... It beats the latest adam sandler movies anyday but I just end up tapping out, skipping to the last page, and then backtracking a little bit. 

and heres a good tip... you wanna keep up with show only related posts just go through the morgus archives
