George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Started by MV/Liberace!, April 06, 2008, 12:23:02 AM

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No
Another stupid question from Noory.  No, Noory, this author as a Stonehenge expert thinks Stonehenge is a joke!  I mean really George.

No, Noory f,or once, said that this bit of info was just internet rumor.  No truth to it!
OK, credit where it's due.  But as for George's interview style, well... the word "softball" comes to mind.  Among others.

I was thinking nonexistent.

Yeah god knows, Christians never go off the deep end.

Of course some do.  There's always nuts in any given population.

It must be especially painful to hear a dude like that claim to be representing your belief system. My Christian friends would have been mortified.

I think he's a knucklehead who rarely gets his knuckleball over the plate.  Think Phil Niekro on a really bad day!  Ooomph,  I probably dated myself with that comment. I haven't paid any attention to baseball since the players went on strike in the early to mid 90's.

This guest was afraid that Boy Scouts would damage the medicine wheel? I realize that Boy Scouts are unpopular in some quarters now, but that's pretty insulting. Aren't they usually supervised by adults on these types of outings?

I'd sooner associate myself with a pimp than with that sort of person.

It's 'were.' 'If I were, I'd be outraged.' It's a rule.

You're right.  Sorry teach.  I usually have a better command over the language.  I think I learned that rule in the second grade.

The flesh-colored weasel always freaked me out on that show.

This guest seems to think that nobody really understands this stuff but him.

For me, I remember it was fourth grade. Mrs. Mitchell was very persuasive.

Mmmmm, I don't know.  Weren't those guys who flipped that boulder in Utah scout leaders??

At least I hope they are former scout leaders....   >:(

Did the guest just say Pope Francis was on trial in international court for child trafficking?  And did Noory let this pass without question?

George dropped his 3x5 cards on the floor and was busy picking them up, otherwise he would have said one of the following:

a) That's so true
b) Does that have anything to do with angels?
c) Why did they build Stonehenge?

I haven't listened to the second guest yet, but I was so infuriated by the appalling Joshua Abraham, and in particular Joorch's response to him, that I fired three emails to Our Glorious Host (all without replyi, of course). This guy is the son of a guy who wrote a novel 40 years ago with a born again bug up his ass. And that's it. That's the sum total of his credentials to be given a platform on C2C (and Alex Jones and Clyde Lewis) to spout his ignorant bullshit. Yes, George corrected his ridiculous statement about the Pope, but only after the interview was done. Otherwise he did not challenge him once. A caller's disgraceful claim that Sandy Hook was a satanist plot was tacitly approved by Abraham and just let go by Noory, who was all too quick to throw out phrases like 'these Satanists' as though their existence was a matter of proven record. I asked George if he had never read The Crucible. You start with this kind of ignorant drivel and wind up with a hysterical whirlwind. You heard it when Abraham went into Hitleresque overdrive in response to one caller, asserting his belief in Jesus as the only son of God like a coke-fueled televangelist. Art would not have tolerated it.
I lived through a period in the 80s in the UK when we had three separate cases of alleged Satanic ritual abuse, in Nottinghamshire, Cleveland and Orkney. Typically, you start with a child's innocent drawing of a group of children dancing round a figure in a dark robe and hood. What do you have? A child with imagination. Until, that is, the picture is seen by a teacher with a narrowed Christian mindset.
A conversation will ensue along the lines of 'Who's that, Susan?' with answers that might include 'Daddy' or 'The Lord' or whatever. You start there and move pretty quickly to social workers snatching children from their families and accusing parents of all kinds of heinous crimes. And when the hysteria has died down, what do you have? Nothing. Not one shred of evidence to support the wild claims and accusations of organised Satanism being thrown around. But, for the children and parents at the heart of it, it is too late and the emotional damage is already done.
That was an absolutely disgraceful two hours last night. And can people like Noory and Abraham take a moment to examine Crowley's endlessly quoted Law Of Thelema, 'Do what thou wilt'? It does not mean 'Do what you want' or 'Anything goes' as is always implied. It means if you follow your will, you can achieve anything, as propounded by half the cat ladies on C2C that George is so enamoured of. Nor do you ever hear the full Law quoted: 'Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. Love is the law. Love under will.'

I backslid last night and tuned in for the second hour and quickly heard the guest say something about abductees being saved by calling Jesus.  "Shit...they've been snookered by another Fundie zealot " sez I.  I simply have no tolerance Noory's losers any more.  Onward to KTNN, the Voice of the Navajo Nation; "Hey-ah-hey-hey-ah-no-heya..." Zzzzz.

OH MAN!  I didn't listen last night.

Calling all Nooryskeptiods:

Predictably, that snake Mike Bara has slithered away from a commitment to debate Dr Stuart "astroguy" Robbins on the air. The full story is on two blogs today:

http://dorkmission.blogspot.com/2014/05/mike-bara-decides-not-to-do-decent.html
http://binaryspellbook.blogspot.com/2014/05/i-am-not-expecting-bara-to-reply.html

All e-mails to George (cc: Lisa Lyon) would be a Good Thingâ,,¢. Optionally, anyone who feels like expressing an opinion to Mike Bara the pseudoscientist can find his e-addy in my blog

We had it here too. Anybody old enough to remember the 80s and early 90s will remember McMartin preschool, little Rascals and the Amirault case(Martha Coakley, Scott Brown's opponent had a role in that one). We had a case in Wenatchee that didnt involve a daycare, but a bunch of people in a church. Ruined lives, lost businesses, communities torn apart. Bob Perez, the guy responsible for the Wenatchee case, died without apologizing. Dorothy Rabinowitz has written a lot about the legal aspect of these. Elizabeth Loftus has written about repressed memory syndrome, which has played a part in some cases. A lot of it, as you said, is because of clumsy interview techniques and asking children leading questions, but sometimes adults are just agendized. Ask anybody who's gone through a  child custody battle after a divorce. There was a famous case on Oprah of a woman who claimed that her own father had murdered her best friend over 20 years earlier because of repressed memory syndrome. (The girl had been killed or had disappeared, I think and the case was unsolved.) The father maintained his innocence. Authorities have never found a shred of physical evidence  in the form of blood, bones, etc. in the cases with wilder Satanic abuse accusations, even though there are allegations of human and  animal sacrifice, etc.

Why is G Noory's Wikipedia entry so short?

I search other hosts that appear on C2C and see their bona fides are extensive.

My initial guess is that as George Noory is a paid liar, and Wikipedia is free, there's no percentage in it.

Here are George`s bona fides: Was chased back under mommy`s skirt when mean boys chased him with water guns»Had a semi-famous aunt Sheniqua Caligula that was semi-interested in the paranormal»Read "Chariots of the Gods"?»Flunked out of dental school»Was in the Naval Reserve»Failed in at least two business ventures(was sued in at least one)»Proved he could stay up all night and do radio in St.Louis as "Nighthawk"»Was hired as part-time host on Coast»Fooled Art Bell into believing he actually cared about Coast while saying he`d retire in 2012./////Wouldn`t it have been nice if he had kept his word and Art came back in2012?
