Last years Flu vaccination was a failure more than 40% of the time. Usually, however the people that plan for the vaccination get it pretty close to right. Yeah last year sucked, I got the vaccine and then blammo got the flu anyway.

Anyone over 60 should consider their options carefully and their overall health before making a decision, either way.

The way the flu vaccine is manufactured does leave some room for concern. First, it is a statistical crap shoot. In previous years they watched the spread of several viruses and selected three to make the vaccine. I have heard this year they have increased that to four strains.

Everyone has an anecdote that is used for not getting the vaccine. If anyone has a compromised pulmonary system and chooses to not get a vaccine... good luck.

having 2 hard drives fail in a raid array.
both passed the short smart test, yet i was getting input/ouptut errors. both failed the long test, smart still reports both drives as "passed".
all 3 drives have 43K+ hours on them, and have been spinning since ~feb of 2010.

Got a flu shot sometime back around 2003 or so, got VERY sick, never again.
It may work for some, but fuk it, not for me.

I'll never get a flu shot - ever! If they try to force me, I'll inject them with some hot lead first.
I don't need the extra aluminum, mercury, aborted fetuses, all the other poisons and gawd knows what else (digital tracking devices maybe ?), injected into my body.
I handle my own health issues, and hence, I don't have any.  I don't get the flu even when others around me are suffering miserably. Boost the immune system and no worries mate.
Now, if you are on meds for other health problems, I can pretty much guarantee those meds are knocking down your immune system making you more susceptible to whatever bug comes around.  You'll especially need to take immune system enhancers. Echinacea purpurea works excellent. Lavandar oil on the skin, or potpourri, disseminates and spreads through the air for added protection - smells like a french whorehouse, but will protect you from crap as nasty as the plague. Oregano oil is the most powerful, commonly available natural disinfectant on the planet. Burns worse than Iodine, but nothing will survive it. ( Plain old Chlorine bleach and sunlight are also disinfectants.  ) Direct sunlight will kill anthrax ( not through a window. )
I have no use for doctors except trauma room (ER) doctors.
Every plant on this planet has a purpose, and with the net, anyone can find what they are used for. ( Does anyone besides me still go to a library ?)
Very few plants interact with drugs, BUT THERE ARE SOME. Due diligence is required.
I don't get sick. Not bragging, just stating a fact.
