Morons who can't live without a phone pressed to their head.   ....

What gets me is the ones babbling on continuously as they're running errands - in the book store, groc. store, bank, post office ... just going on about Aunt Sally's podiatrist visit or Timmy's soccer camp or Mitten's new cat-tree .... especially as they're going thru the check-out line and the poor cashier is like 'wtf shut up'.

Doctors are now diagnosing children with a form of hunchback caused by their constant looking down at their phones.  (Two spaces)  More medicaid expense to come.

I wish they'd stop screwing around and just have the phone permanently planted in their head.  Maybe they already have.

Welcome to the collective.

That book Old Man's War has the idea of a "BrainPal" which is basically a smartphone chip in your head.  The way it's described it sounds almost inevitable it will happen someday.  The good thing is people can communicate with it by thoughts so we'll be spared all those tedious one-sided conversations we hear now.

I believe that, because I have the same problem. Mind you, I'm 51. If it's happening to kids, that's frightening. Of course, we are on the verge of VR goggles and such, hopefully AR glasses to follow soon after. That would solve the problem, ostensibly.

They've already performed a couple of successful 'speriments of that nature. Viz:

Wait till doctors start diagnosing the effects from cumulative microwave exposure next to the brain that cell phones  are giving people  and/or exposure to wi-fi.

That attempted murder isn't properly charged as failed murder.

That hoaxers don't receive triple the penalty of what the alleged crime carries.

   * Bing "News" had a headline about "Teen Mom loses twins". I got hopeful for society for a second, but was bummed to find out she only lost custody.  :'(

Been a directv customer for over a decade, so being something of an experienced DVR user, I knew something was wrong with the "box". Very, very, very long delays between the time I pushed the button on the remote and the box realizing I was kindly asking it to do what it was created for. It even recorded the same show on the same channel twice in the same time slot but labeled them differently... So, the tech that got my call heard me out and said that this was becoming an issue all across the country with the Genies, took my email address and said they notify me when they correct it.. There is a lot of common sense issues that immediately came to mind: If this has been a company wide issue for months, it may not be repairable. If it is only the Genie DVR's why is the company not replacing them all in the spirit of customer service since they have saved so much cash using 3rd world countries for customer service. But then I remembered, the issue started about the same time ATT bought them. Maybe the quick Genie switch was turned off to increase profit! Just sayin'

Stupid news reporting... There is at least one person that didn't think he was successful.

The fact that murder-suicide has not been replaced by suicide-mirder.  I think in the majority of cases option 2 would have a more beneficial effect.  Perhaps some public service announcements reminding everyone that timing is everything are needed.

I second this. I've had the same thought about suicide-murder being the better option for years, and believe your PSA idea is excellent. Perhaps a few banner ads on YouTube would aide the cause.

What about it? I woke up today thinking about the word potlatch. Weird.

Morning TV shows, Good Morning America and ilk.  I'm stuck in a waiting room with this mind numbing junk playing.  The women sound like hyperactive chipmunks chattering away and the clowns masquerading as men were apparently castrated at birth.

The suffix from hell. Though helpful in determining who covers news seriously or frivolously.

USSGOBLiN

Embellished UFO reports, those that lie about seeing a UFO, dis information agents the US government places in the UFO research community, and those US personal and contract workers that make stuff up to write a book or make a name for themselves after a life in black projects and mundane research they can't legally reveal and if they did nobody really would care.

My brother was in the national guard at the time. He went down in the clean up afterwards...pure horror with all the bodies in the jungle...half eaten by wildlife, rotting...he says it still haunts him today...

Watergate changed American history, changed our politics, changed journalism, changed legal ethics, on and on.

Now we get a -gate because some guy with capped teeth let air out of footballs.

The recent attempt was the gooftastic fake punt Chuck Pagano tried a few weeks ago.

Another religious mass suicide that escaped the gate fate:  Heaven's Gate-gate
