Far be it for me to interject in your geography enquiries, but for myself:

I appreciate your effort here, but I don't see anything other than tourism. I'm more interested in how the native population lives and why some countries have such poor living conditions despite having valuable natural resources.

I find it interesting that you missed the rich history of the states you visited in the USA. All you came away with from Georgia was nice people (people in the tourist industry usually are) and a 4x4 parked by a shack? That's it?

Weather, food, traffic, various personalities- I can find here. You can meet Native Americans, Amish, and any number of people from around the world, various landscapes, natural wonders, other cultures, and history right here in the states. We can cover a whole lot of territory without leaving our country.

I've had people from many different countries at my home and they all agree that they prefer to live here. First generation Russian immigrants, Iranians, Japanese, Greeks, South American, Indonesian, etc.- none of them want to go back.

I guess America isn't such a bad place after all.

When Americans stop visiting London and go back home saying they've been to England, I'll write a book about the history of the USA. Deal? I wasn't in a tourist place in GA. I stayed with a friend. I visited The famous bridge in Madison county..I went to Madison in Clark county; not razed by Sherman. I did a photo assignment for the local paper.

I never said it was. That you inferred I said that isn't my doing. Non of them want to go back, but if for example they went back to visit family, how many would get a hard time flying back or at the gate in the USA? This week an American citizen tried to get back from a conference in Europe. He had to transfer at Amsterdam and before the first leg was told to the puzzlement of the KLM staff that he wasn't cleared to take the second leg to LA. He called his wife who got a lawyer onto it, and by the time he reached Amsterdam it had been sorted out, but he still endured interrogation at LAX.
