Here is fat, disgusting pig, Michael Moore trying to use the widow of slain Navy SEAL William Owens as a political football for his ideology. Just as disgraceful as that last douche I posted about. I hope he dies a painful and protracted death. ::)

The Democrats continue to look like complete fools.  I congratulate them and wish them well in their continuing implosion.

By the way, this is for people still confused about what a legal Executive Order is versus what Obama was using them for.

When Trump announced he is directing the Dept of Homeland Security to create an office to serve the victims of crime committed by immigrants - Victims Of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) - it's simply a reorder of certain resources within his administration for a specific purpose.  Not decreeing new law.  Not announcing he is no longer enforcing existing law.

I'm not sure if he formally issued an EO for this, but it's an example of the appropriate use of one.

Richard Wagner - about as notorious an anti-semite as there ever was - chose a Jewish conductor to conduct the premiere of Parsifal at Bayreuth. Personal connections like that mean nothing because racists see things in broad brush strokes not at an intimate level.
It reminds of the great scene in the movie "Reversal of Fortune" in which Claus von Bülow's girlfriend, Andrea Reynolds, tells Dershowitz: "I made him hire you, "get the Jew," I said..."

I'm still waiting for Meister to explain why Kagan didn't recuse herself from the Obamacare case since she helped formulate Obamacare.

Me too.  From what I understand we're too awful to respond to when we question her half-baked ideas.  At least that's what she said.  So it's either that or she doesn't think the answers would make her original comments seem very bright.

I'd still like to know how many refugees Iran has taken in from the six countries, and how they deal with illegal aliens.  If they've been less than welcoming - which I suspect is the case - I'd like to know whether that Iranian director had criticized his own government before criticizing ours.

And if he hasn't, I'd still like to know what Meister thinks of that - having brought his comments up on the thread and praised them in the first place.

Unfortunately, Meister hasn't exactly shown herself to be much on critical thinking, doesn't go beyond what someone sent her online in some echo chamber Trump bashing email, and isn't going to respond.  Oh well, something to keep in mind when reading her other posts.

Ohhh, Doc.  This is pure GOLD!  Thank you! :-*

We're in the land of milk and liberal tears now. Happy days are here again!  ;D

Not sure how I feel about this. The whole subject opens up a whole can of worms. I hate to see people fired over personal opinions like this. I'm big on freedom of speech and a person should be allowed to express an opinion with no consequence such as being fired. However, he did make himself a target by tweeting his opinion.  The guy is scum, no doubt there.

I feel the same way. Not sure it was rude enough to warrant getting fired, but companies nowadays may choose to have a social media policy, especially for officers of the company.

Couldn't agree more.  FYI,  Meister came out to me as a he not a she though I confess I have a hard time believing it.

There's another question we won't get answered.  What does he make of the fact that everyone on the board thought he was female?

Not sure who he worked for but, yeah, they probably just would've been targeted in someway that would effect their finances negatively if they didn't fire him.

No, I think the company overreacted by firing him.  If I had such a policy, I would reprimand him and call on him to publicly apologize.  There is some satisfaction in seeing someone from the left being fired for being insensitive after all the stories we see about companies firing someone on the right for being insensitive or un-pc.

You know there is quite a dialectic difference between the army ant and the honeypot ant.

Business consultancy. Not sure where or what he did but I would guess he was "asked to quit and got some kind of severance."

You're right. Trump exploiting the widow of a dead SEAL is reprehensible. Even more so that he passed the buck of the responsibility of giving the order. The SEAL's father isn't so happy about Trump; is he a liberal too?

Then he was going against the wishes of his own daughter-in-law, the woman his son chose to marry.  ::)

His daughter in law wished her husband dead? I don't see how you think his death is something to smile about. Unless of course you're a Islamic terrorist. Yes, that'll be it.

She seemed to be fine with it.  You call it exploitation.  Both sides have been bringing such people to the State Of The Union for a while now.  Trump is not the first.
