Marrs is so full of shit. We have had open carry since January 1st but you still have to have a concealed carry permit to open carry. I have yet to see anyone doing open carry in almost 9 months. Every concealed carry permit holder I know would rather carry concealed.

Here in Missouri, you can open carry with a CCW permit, but like GS, I haven't seen anyone doing it around here.  It seems like a bad idea, to me.  Best to go concealed. 

Missouri is very gun friendly.  Anyone can carry a gun in the glove box if they aren't a felon.

Here in AZ...you can open or conceal carry...no license required as long as you never had a felony...many folks open carry everywhere you go...daily life...

I think a network gig is out of the question, but I do think she could get a job at a radio station (maybe?).  However, if that were to come about, it would mean MITD has ended and her next employer would first want to know why it ended.  Could complicate things.  Also, her resume prior to MITD wouldn't be a selling point, and the loss of every single terrestrial affiliate during her tenure wouldn't help.  She might be able to hang her hat on having Art's endorsement, but he hasn't done a thing in almost two decades so that might be of limited value.  I don't believe she could land a job in a large market, but I could be wrong about that.  Who knows.  It's just that each one of those departed affiliates represents a real rejection by a real terrestrial radio station, and we're batting **zero** in that department even though she came at no cost to the affiliates (other than air time).  Doesn't bode well. 

The reality is, today's terrestrial talk stations offer very few hosting opportunities.  In most markets, talk stations choose to air syndicated content pulled off of a satellite feed because it's infinitely cheaper than paying a warm body to sit in your studio.  Syndicated shows also bring with them a level of predictability since programmers can look at metrics from similar markets to get an idea of how well the show might do.  A local host is now seen not as an asset, but as a risk and an expense.  If you live in a town of less than 50,000, there's a good chance your local talk station doesn't have a single show hosted locally (except news).  If your local station is one of the rare exceptions, they're almost always going to want someone who does politics, an area where Heather's out of her element.  In 2016, no terrestrial talk station is going to take a chance on a show hosted by someone doing their version of Goblins n Such with Arthur Bell.  They put their money where they see the greatest chance of success, and that's politics/current events/law, etc.

If Heather did get a terrestrial radio job, like most in the industry, she'd probably wind up getting to do very little of what she really wants to do.

I'm pretty much in agreement with this POV, G of T. I said early on that Heather had a decent radio voice and with training, might get a weather or traffic type announcer job in a small market. At this point, her radio resume wouldn't be much of an asset, though.

If she couldn't get another radio job, I still don't see it as a real misfortune. Probably disappointing for her, but she might parlay this experience into some other kind of endeavor (Senior Phone Sex Operator, maybe?).

I guess you're hoping she'll pay a price for doing what she has, but to me this whole thing is about Art and how he did what he did. I'm not saying to blame Art, but that's kind of inevitable.
