I'm laughing at you and I'll keep on laughing at you every time you do something moronic. ;D

If'n you ask me, that weren't very nice.

I've actually had it argued to me before that more motorcycle deaths occur because someone in a car hit them or ran them off the road than actually operating the vehicle. I haven't researched it, so I don't know what the truth is. But it seems silly to me to toss out a century of automotive safety engineering just for an obnoxiously loud 'murican motorcycle that's mostly manufactured abroad.

I don't know the statistics, but Harley riders swear their bikes are the safest simply because they're so loud. Unless you're deaf or have the stereo blasting, they are hard to ignore. I hate the noise but I agree it helps Harleys get noticed.

i could see that.  about 12 years ago, i bought a motorcycle, and in the short time i owned it, there were two instances in which cars almost ran me off the road.  they just flat out didn't see me.

Yeah, it seemed to make sense to me, though I didn't fact check it. Idiots abound in cars, and with all the texting while driving and god knows what that goes on, the motorcyclist is at a disadvantage no matter now good they are. Much less blind spots and such.

I live in a state next to California and most of the people coming into my state visiting or moving from there are absolute losers.  They want to bring their liberal crap laws and overpaid wages with them.

That's why I refuse to go to Austin these days. Same thing.

I still don't know why they don't use desalinization plants.

there's probably some dumb sea snail it would kill.

Well, I could see that. They basically blare out their presence with the engine.

I racked it 3 times like I always do and I am sure I checked, but being in the shadows of the woods I might have just missed the brass. I think the fact that the trigger was stuck was causing the gun not to grab the shell. That is why I like my XD. It has a small mechanism that sticks up if there is brass in the chamber. I still look in the chamber when clearing those, but the little nub that sticks up is just another visual cue.

I won't ever make that same mistake. The only reason I am even sharing it is to emphasize the need for safety and training. Even though I had clearly made what could have been a fatal mistake, the fact that I was trained to always keep the muzzle pointed downrange and down towards the ground saved the day. There were two neighbors I was shooting with that are better off too.

i have a glock 45, and it has never jammed or malfunctioned once.  never.  hundreds and hundreds of rounds fired.  great engineering.

That's my local...

Too hot in the summertime.  Maybe somewhere close to Flagstaff wouldn't be bad.  Up on the plateau.

I'd go back to California in a heartbeat if they kicked out the people running the state government.  Yeah, it is expensive but you can't beat the climate even if drinkable water is scarce.  I still don't know why they don't use desalinization plants.

Yeah, there's no question, that place has some great attributes. No clue why they don't use desalinization. Saudi Arabia does.

Some people just have a "blindness" for motorcycles. Their brain doesn't register if they aren't used to seeing them. I have a friend that was hit from behind at a stop sign. She swore she never saw him. He swears she had been behind him for 5 miles and had made 4 turns at the same intersection he did before he stopped at the stop sign and she hit him. He wasn't hurt. And this was before cell phones.

Same with my XDs. I have fired probably 8-9000 rounds with XDs and only had one problem with a rental gun out at Frontsight. The front sight fell off. Kind of ironic actually.

Beautiful country around there.  Went to Sedona last year and I liked it but it is a bit of a tourist trap.
