I am sure this has been passed around these boards a lot but here is a site I found about a guy that did his homework on Hoagland. Or as Hoagland/Bara would put it "Has an agenda"

http://www.gpposner.com/Hoagland.html...

You reminded me that a poster here, I think in this thread, put up a simply brilliant bit on Hoagland and sociopathy narcissism about 6 months ago. I'll try to pull it up.

*edit* Found it: http://coastgab.com/index.php/topic,1561.msg64822.html#msg64822

Curiosity discovered some sort of shiny metal object on Mars the other day. Why hasn't the C2C Science Adviser made a special appearance to tell us it's Data's belt buckle or somthing ?

stevesh

Come to think of it, it might be because he and Bara aren't finished faking examining the images yet.

Paracast Radio gave me an opportunity to rebut Hoagland & Bara this morning, for which I'm duly grateful. It's ridiculously long -- don't blame me for that.

It's here if anyone's interested.

Just finished the paracast; I think you did very well! Toward the end you mentioned hearing RCH on the radio and sitting up in bed, saying, "Why, that man is crazy!" and I laughed out loud.

You tracked well, you mostly kept it on an understandable-to-all level and you sounded very professional.

I would not like to see Noory get ahold of you, but then again...

Anyway: good job. I enjoyed it.

As always expat great stuff.  I'm 2 hours in...

Not only am I listening... I am buying a sun oven... shoot me.

98.9% to be exact, I used the new HARPS instrument on the 3.6-metre telescope at ESO's La Silla Observatory in Chile over four years to detect the delusionalness in Hokey Hoaglands neural orbitons and hyper dimensional ineptitudional space-time-like shifts. I got down to 5.4 plank length millimeters till I saw micro alien pirates and then had them walk the plank into space-time-shark-infested-shadowon-alternate-universe wasters filled with what can only be described as dimensional fruit roll ups pasted to things that looked like miniature versions of George Noory's head with Ian Punnet's butt on the bottom. I found an atom sized planet surrounded by four protonic suns too, a first!

Oh, boy - Hoagland's on tonight talking about methane on Mars.  How about methane at his home?
Then it's on to a thrilling couple of hours of open lines, then an hour of non-admitted replays, then UFO Fill then I get to hear two hours of Purity Products infomercials. Friday is so exciting.

I listened to an old show last night where Hoaxland was talking about drillers in Antarctica running out of salt sooner than they should have, and equated it with them finding a spaceship or something because Lot's wife turned into a pillar of salt. Seriously.. Even Art said something like "its funny how you come to these conclusions". Hoagland is fucking nuts. I think he may be a bit schizophrenic actually.

I cant remember. it was on the fine art stream last night. maybe linden2k could help if he has a list of the shows that were played. I wish I could remember which one, because it was pretty absurd. It was the ravings of a madman.

Hoagland!  Get ready for "Helllloooooooo George......"  :o

Did I hear right? Did he say he's going to start attending NASA press conferences as a representative of C2C? Did Snoory really brown-nose to the point of encouraging this "because you know more than any of the regular correspondents"??

Oh joy!! Comedy comes to JPL at last....

More great news! Hoagie said last night that he has found abandoned apartment buildings in Curiosity images.

He may not be 100% delusional, but he certainly has finally descended into self-parody.

How can Hoagland not be sure they are condos rather than apartments?  8)

Simple George brought him on at the beginning of the third hour, just before Open Lines.

When I gazed up in the direction of Mars in serious introspection and after downing three strawberry martinis, I could have sworn I saw an abandoned hospital and a colony of mud huts.  A few looked to be inhabited, and I sensed that they had colonized Earth and thrive to this day.  Maybe this was the same community they were speaking of?  I will have to listen to the show.

Just abandoned apartment buildings?  What, no golfing communities or malls?  Just what kind of place is this???

I don't know for sure, but it sounds kind of like a ghetto. Clearly the previous inhabitants burned it up and left it a total mess.

Maybe we shouldn't have a manned mission to Mars.  It would be kind of disappointing to spend all that money and discover you just may as well taken the Greyhound to Detroit.
