Warren Moon put you up to this, didn't he? ;)

Herschel Walker will phone in explaining the USFL conspiracy, Dallas and the career assassination, as well as plugging his next MMA fight against Jose Canseco.

Am I the only one that found the X Files movies to be highly disappointing?

Totally agree.  Many of the episodes were of motion picture quality and naturally over-shadowed the movies.  Perhaps they tried too hard.  I especially despised the one with the dumb priest.

It's like expecting every SNL character spin-off movie to be as good as the 4 minute skits from the show, which may not be that good to begin with.

Probably because he was booked before Art's latest disappearing act.
I'm quite certain that he could back out if he so chose.  That said- I will agree with the people who mentioned that the series did a bit of a nose dive towards the end.

Free PR is free PR. But I can't see Fox reviving the show.
Scully: "WTF, Mulder, twenty years and you're STILL flogging the damned alien BS?"

I think that in the mythology, there as a 2012 end of days story line, and Chris said at one point that he would like to revisit the show/story at least briefly at that point.  Obviously that came and went, so maybe this is kind of the same idea?  Stop in and show where the story has moved into present day?

Haha, yeah of course - everybody's 20 years older so that's the only option.

I just noticed that the interview with Chris Carter is tonight.  Perhaps we'll get some teasers about the storyline.

The first episode is scheduled for Jan 24th, and all six will be aired over the span of a month:

There hasn't been a good SNL skit since the CandyGram

i think X-files worked better as MOTW instead of the over all season arcs of the alien conspiracy

WHAT?!?  That's just crazy talk.

The pilot episode with the kids being experimented on by the aliens...

"Deep Throat" S01E02 with the military UFOs and weird brainwashing technology...

"The Erlenmeyer Flask" S01E24 where we learn about the toxic alien blood, Deep Throat gets assassinated, and Scully sees scientific proof of an extra alien DNA base-pair...

"Dunae Barry" S02E05 where Scully gets abducted and Mulder gets infiltrated by Krycek...

"Colony" and "End Game" S02E16-17 where we learn about the shape-changing alien bounty hunter, the renegade alien clones doing genetic experiments along with clones of Mulder's sister, and Mulder's father gets knocked off...

Talitha Cumi, S03E24 - the brilliant episode with the "alien Jesus" and his awesome confrontations with Cancer Man, and the revelation that the Cancer Man was "close" with Mulder's mom before he was born..."Luke, I am yor fahther..."

And "The End" S05E20 with the psychic kid chess player and Mulder at the top of his game proving the kid's powers and figuring out that humans have been genetically engineered from the beginning...

Those a just a few of the show's best episodes, and they're all part of the serial story line that kept me watching - shadowy intrigue, evil secret government plots with invading aliens, crazy alien powers...that stuff was way cooler than "new monster, killed or captured, SOS."

It's nice to see Art posting in his thread again. Can you please make another rant with randomly capitalized words about how you're quitting?

Haha good, I was hoping you were joking.  I've been pretty touchy about spoilers ever since coaster blabbed about the climax of the latest Star Wars movie the day before I was going to see it with my brother over Christmas.  First movie I've seen at the theater in three years...such a dick move.

It has a certain humorous pathos, I feel in my funny bone. That will be $250 for the consultation, please.
