Apparently it's rituals that keep you living longer. Even if your ritual is taking a shot of brandy before bed.

I'd help Art Bell produce, but nobody wants the ghetto

That is a pretty decent flick.

Rock on Art!  Your Sirius show was heard by more people than we'll ever know, the pirate streams were all over the web.  Your new one will be even bigger.  The critics and Davebots are running scared.

What does it matter how many people initially hear the show? To me the quality of the show's content is what matters and will stand the test of time. Not the number of people. And I saw Dark Matter all over the torrent sites, so untold people were getting to the shows.

I was looking for something like this:

Wake Up With The King

but then I found this too:

CREEPY Burger King Commercial

Not, Sure.

I think my point was:

Art, have it your way...

Art hates CNN so he was probably letting this terrible idea (CNN Quizshow) speak for itself.

I think that commentary was written by some hater to put self-doubt into Art.  Remember, just Shake it off, Shake it off!!!!

I found this on a thread below, it is a comment from a radio guy working for a big AM station, I am not sure where:
As far as Art Bell, his words: "He's alienated his audience. If he podcasts, it will be mildly successful". His core audience is the age that may not want to deal with podcasts. The subject matter is so overcooked that there is nothing left to eat. And he's proven to be an unreliable media personality. Plus he's no a young man playing in a young man's world. He will get a bump out of the gate on popularity and then it will slide south as the newness wears off. Once it becomes evident that he doesn't get even 5000 subscribers, he will shut it down. If Art was serious about making a go of it, he would do terrestrial radio + podcast it like his main competition. Otherwise it's a hobby.

He makes some pretty good points, some not so good, my core audiance is really 8-80 Years old, so about that he is wrong. The subject matter is over cooked but the product has been slaughtered by most Chefs. He has a bias for commercial radio because that's who signs his paycheck but I have a flash for him AM radio is dying, the shares are now tiny and shrinking fast and I am sorry for that because I love Radio but the writing is on the wall. As far as how my listeners feel about me, well I've pissed off lots of people in my time, if you live long enough, so will you.

I am not a young man anymore, 70 in June but many of the best Paranormal Broadcasters in the World have been older. Lastly, if it becomes a Hobby then it will be a very good one.

Art
"....like his main competition."  *glacially slow blink, glacially slow, you know like Noory trying to get to the point*  WTF?  What competition?  This is ART FUCKEN BELL.    And nobody else is.  I'm no fanboy.  I'm a realist.  While anybody can throw a show together, I'm not looking at anybody here, only ART can set the bar.  He is a crafstman who ARTfully puts varied elements together into an equation that totals out to being...The ART of talk.  I know, I'm playing with the words a bit.  Either you know what I'm talking about, viscerally, or you are just not gonna get it..ever.

I kinda get this image in my head, you remember the last scene in 'The Wild Bunch?'  Where Pike has had enough and is ready to call it done?  He walks in on his demoralized and hung over Wild Bunch, there's that pause as he looks the boys in the eyes and says, 'Lets Go!'  And suddenly everybody gets it.

I think it's gonna be kinda like that.  ART will be running and gunning across his medium and we, his wild bunch, will be running wild across social media blazing away at the social concioussness of the globe, man.  Oh.  somebody hand me a smoke.  I think I just had a Bellgasm.

Like Coral Castle, most topics that were fun when Art had his best shows are completely debunked or discredited.
Another Problem is, you heard it all before: most guest aren't bringing anything new that you haven't heard 100 times already.
As much as I love Ancient Aliens, Nephilim, Mars, UFO, Noah's flood...
Especially Zachariah Sitchin was a total fake conman.
What's left to talk about in an Art Bell show, except who killed Kennedy, the fake moon landings, or the 9/11 false flag?

Art,

Just a question or two......

Have you heard from Josè Escamillio of late? I'm wondering if he has said anything about the Rods captured exiting the Sun? One of the Rods can be seen really good at 1:31 minutes into the film....

Art,

Still the same question or two only different.. ;D

Has RCH or anyone said anything to you about these....I don't know...I guess we can call them ships? They seem to be tapping into our Sun...

When you start the new version of your old show - don't forget the fax machine and make sure you upgrade your hard drive from Mb to Tb.. ;)

After watching them I would consider these as a compendium of the Billy Meier experience. So grab a cup of coffee, sit back and relax, and enjoy.... :)

Art

I listen to your old shows on a daily basis. I am 32, so I agree with your 8-80 comment.

The great things about some of Art's shows, is that they were not even about paranormal/UFO etc.. activity. I love the old shows with  shows about Alan Mitchell the Apollo astronaut, Windows 95, or even wacky 911 calls. UFO shows are ok, but Art can take a variety of topics and make them interesting. I just don't want to hear some crappy host talk about how the government is poisoning our carrots.

Saw this the other day, too. Zucker had been quoted as saying he was open to having less newsy shows on CNN. I guess it's a sign of the times.

MTV no longer plays music. The Weather Channel rarely has forecasts. CNN doesn't do news anymore. (All contributing to the cultural brain drain!)

It sounds like he may already be thinking along these lines, but Art's new show doesn't have to be 100% paranormal/conspiracy/secrets. There's a lot of messed up stuff going on in the world today that I'm sure he'll have plenty to talk about once he gets rolling.

Because isn't the talk format less about guests telling long-winded stories, and more about having conversations about differences?

Amen!

For the past few months, I've been getting my, "Art Bell Type Stuff",  from Alex Tsakiris's Skeptiko podcast. No relation to Skeptico - the opposite of that.

"The apparent claim of skepticism in the name, and the name confusion with the Skeptico blog (which is not happy about this), has fooled skeptics such as Massimo Pigliucci, Ophelia Benson and Jerry Coyne into appearing."
http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Alex_Tsakiris

Oh, no! Did the poor, mechanistic materialists get, "fooled", into talking with someone who disagreed with them?

Those of you saying, "the paranormal is dead",  are just not paying attention. New discoveries and experiences are popping up too fast to keep up with.

Has your life gotten less weird since Art's heyday? Mine hasn't. If anything, it's gotten weirder.

At least we haven't had any recent Ft. Rock predictions.  That's a good sign.
