Are tickets to the Toronto games included? Or is it an option sort of thing?

They stopped doing Toronto a few games ago. The games up there were horrible. The stadium is lousy and they basically had to give the tickets away.

I wonder how many of the people who got all bent out of shape about the music and said "I'm done in not listening to Art. . Blah blah.. Ect" are going to actually not listen. ..  Personally I bet 98% of them will come crawling back in July..

Anyone else think they are just butt hurt and said those things  because they were all worked up.. Lol had to vent it

I agree, but I think Art should keep "bumps in the road" to himself unless he has made a final decision not to do the show.

Yeah I agree he does need to do so..  People get hyped up pretty easily

I don't think it was anger over the music rights fee issue but more about the "will he, won't he" hell we've all been trapped in for years as fans. I'm not sure why we even had to hear about any of the behind the scenes stuff, seeing how nothing has been set in stone yet. Let us know when there's a real date without the constant drama of Premiere, Dave Noorie, Sirius/XM, Jimmy Church, C. Crane, and Keith Rowland.

Me either dude. I'm putting Rush's Vapor Trails back on repeat.

I liked that record! have always been partial to "A Farewell To Kings" and moreso "Hemispheres" but really both, the end of kings kind of rolls into the beginning of Hemispheres

Now where did I put  those unaccompanied Geddy Lee vocal tracks that MV enjoys so much? I promise I won't upload them as "announcement from art bell" and post them here

Delphi

But I'm sure if he doesn't keep the community up to date in what's going on,  there will be those people who bitch about not having updates and what not. ..  Your damned if you do and damned if you don't

I just puked a little bit in the back of my throat.

Agreed. Went to the International Bowl there when UB was playing a few years back. Logistical shithole. I like Toronto, but I'm glad the Bills are done there.

Agreed, as well. Art's excited, so he's posting a lot. Yeah, there's a little herky-jerky back and forth with stuff, but we gotta stay cool here.

People need to stop idolizing, when you put someone on a pedestal you are going to be disappointed.

Get a life people, if Art comes back great, but if he doesn't life goes on.

Drama Queens! What has happened to this weak minded society?

Danger!UFO

When Art shares the 'bumps in the road' someone here on the board may have a solution or good idea. Enjoy the drama! These are good times. The show will happen. It's February and we're talking about Art's new show! FEBRUARY! Who thought we would get ANY news this early? Anyone? Really?

Keep updating us, Art!

Juan

Actually, it's Feb.

Danger!UFO

If things fall apart before July then so be it. Enjoy the ride now.

dungiven

Holy shit. He's back he's gone it's over it's not....I can't fucking keep up.  I love this board!

Usually, I look forward to July because it's peak time for sunning my genitals on my roof. But now Art's giving us a show, too. (Hopefully, nearly as good as the one I give those on final approach to Logan Airport whilst doing my testicle tanning)

The only part of Art's good news that makes me a bit nervous is the "Big player in the industry", who has come along offering a deal that seems almost too good to be true.  I'm always suspicious of "big players" in any industry.  I sure hope Art doesn't sign any restrictive contracts with this "Big player", and he reads the fine print before entering into any agreements.

Given how up to date Art and team were on DMRA, I'm guessing the "big player" is MySpace.  Maybe Napster.

Art's in good hands. Keith will peruse the contract. What could possibly go wrong?

I'm hoping the search engine on the revamped ArtBell.com will be powered by askjeeves.

People on fb were suggesting Live 365, which began innocently enough as a "community" of radio lovers, both amateurs and pros who could have their own show.  A great idea as long as they aren't  bought out (and ruined) by Clear Channel/PremRat.

Wouldn't that be a kick in the teeth to Art.

They'll have him scrubbing toilets in George's private bathroom.

Those pizza roll shit stains can be stubborn.

Another Buffalo resident? Hello!

VtaGeezer

Surely one of you guys with instant recall of every rock tune ever recorded can come up with a catchy music video of about a drama queen.

I thrive in chaos... Art posting the "bumps in the road" and Bellgab'ers reaction, for a forum, is about as good as it gets.
It's like watching a stormy sea,  Art makes a positive posts and a wave of love comes rushing in.
Art makes a negative post and the wave of love is replaced by tsunami of hate.
.....Shampoo, rinse, repeat, until many are so mixed up they don't if they love or hate Art.

Dave vs Art is right up there too, for entertainment value.

Thanks MV! For making this sea of fun possible.

I'm not known here, not a prolific poster by any means, merely someone who found Mr. Bell's radio program in the mid nineties and became immediately hooked. Hooked on every aspect, from the topics, to the guests, to Mr. Bell's skills as an interviewer and a broadcaster.
I'm counting the days to the prospect of hearing him again live.
At the risk of offending anyone, I gotta say, the haters on here are really a downer, (he should keep to himself the "bumps in the road", etc, or "he's getting ready to quit again before he starts").
I mean, if he comes back, great. If he chooses to give "updates" on the process, great.
If he chooses not to come back, I still have literally hundreds of archived shows to listen to, whenever I desire, through all of the various apps & streams & downloads.
I do not wish to piss off anyone, but geez, give the guy a break.

Welcome. Your post will stir someone up. Count on it.

P.s. Art, I still love you!

I don't do Facebook, but I did suggest Live 365 here on Bellgab (The Only Forum That Matters!) a few days ago:

I had a hunch Art hadn't fully explored this, that's why I asked him here a few days ago if he was going to use his usual bumper music.

Art, I have looked into this in the past, and if you are absolutely dead set on an Internet show with commercial music, this would seem to be your only choice:

http://www.live365.com/pro/pricing.live

They take care of the royalties, and allow a stream from your website.  Last time I checked, though, it was North America only.

mainmanX

Chances that this "Big player in the Industry" Art is putting his hopes on is some "Nigerian prince" that contacted Keith and just needs Art to deposit some money offshore to get the ball rolling?

gnooryblows

you know what im thinking would be really awesome? is if art ends up being able to stream, and it turns out his caller pool is much smaller than what he was used to. then he has regular callers. same people calling into the show every night, similar to what happens with many podcasts. i think that would be something art would really be able to work with personally.
BUUT thats presuming he doesnt flip out about his caller pool like before and blow the whole studio up in a fit of emotions.

Do not believe any BS messages people say are from me. I will keep you up to date here.

I just re-read the last part of Art's last post and I'm wondering whether I missed something or has this been an issue? I don't recall it happening here. Has George been wearing his Art costume again?
