During the show? None. Nada. Not even a thought.

This is the exact board he used on Sirius:

http://www.bswusa.com/Consoles-Audioarts-Air-1-USB-P867.aspx

See those little program buttons? Mic, guest & callers would be in program 1 and program 2. Music is only fed to the stream on program 1, NOT program 2, which would be the recording backup for the podcasts.

That's literally it.

I can see what every thing says when I click on the picture it enlarges. So are the sliders on the right side for program 1 or 2?

Ok, I take it by now you have all read the FB message. It is exactly as I said there. I am not going to give any other details because there are those who would do bad things to prevent it from going forward as you know. It does seem this deal will get done and the end result will be a free stream for all which has been my goal all along. I am going to up the game a bit with a few things that will be a suprise but again loose lips and all that. I will still need the help of everybody here to blitz social media when we get close. The target start date is still late July. Do not believe any BS messages people say are from me. I will keep you up to date here.

Love the formatting of your post this time.
Yeah, yeah, yeah... I'll keep my ears tuned to late July.
P.S. If you sign a contract, make sure it's got a 20 year non-compete in it.

dan7800

Thanks for the update Art. We are anxiously awaiting your return.

well, that was some intense drama

The very reason I cannot even suggest a hint of what it may be.
By the FB post it sure sounds like a call I made.
I don't want anything for you but a smooth road ahead Art.

You can punch any of them in or out.

I'll be clenching The Art of Talk in one hand, and one of my nipples in the other. I wannnnnna take a ride! Brace yourself July, here I come!

I think it is pretty obvious what is going to happen.

arts like an old old dude, sitting in the nursing home staring out the window. he see's some rain clouds on the horizon and throws his arms up into the air, violently screaming 'ITS ALL FUCKED UP NOW! AAAAAAAAALLL FUCKED UP'. then the orderlies come by and say 'hey, here's a raincoat and its only going to be a light drizzle, chill out' and then he calms down and goes back to his original plans.

None of the buttons press when I press nor the sliders slide when I slide. What kind of witchcraft is this?

Then why are you hinting?
If you don't even know it was you.
So much hand waving, and much ado about nothing.

I have placed your application for the board op position in the rejected pile.

Because if it is the suggestion I made to someone it will a be really really good solution, so unique as to be foolproof. Friggin CC & Snoory et. al. are watching everything, so we don't need his stank around here fouling up the works.
I don't say any of this for my benefit or slap on the back, but for all who are disappointed with the setbacks to offer hope...very soon. If it is, then it is all in Mr. Bell's deciding hands.

It's good to see someone accepting the fact that Art's age is a real factor in all of this. He's getin up there in age. He can't do the stuff that Art Bell could do almost 20 years ago.

Not to sound morbid, but how many are making plans to see Art off on his final ride?

If you right click the picture around the middle or so it should enlarge.

That was the most boring show I've ever heard. And I listened to Carolyn Goyda on Keith Rowland's crappy stream.

I wonder if Noory has inboxed Falkie with the latest news yet.

70 is nothing these days. Look at guys like Warren Buffet who are well into their 80's and influence the economy of the world. My grandparents are in their late 90's and still live home alone. My neighbor is 100 and has just taken up quad copters as a hobby.

Sure....there will always be exceptions....is that a rule or something?

The age-specific death rates are calculated separately for separate groups of data that are believed to have different mortality rates (e.g. males and females, and perhaps smokers and non-smokers if data is available separately for those groups) and are then used to calculate a life table,....

here is the easy part when figuring life expectancy.....

assuming survival to age x. If K(x) denotes the curtate future lifetime at x, then :e_x = E[K(x)] = \sum_{k=0}^\infty k\, Pr(K(x)=k) = \sum_{k=0}^{\infty}k\, \,_kp_x \,\, q_{x+k}. Substituting {}_kp_x \, q_{x+k} = {}_k p_x - {}_{k+1}p_x in the sum and simplifying, we get the equivalent formula:[72]e_x = \sum_{k=1}^\infty {} \, _k p_x. If we make the assumption that, on average, people live a half year in the year of death, then the complete expectation of future lifetime at age x is e_x + 1/2.

Hard hard facts:  Babies born in the United States in 2005 are expected to live an average of 77.9 years, according to a 2007 study by the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics. That's an increase of more than 30 years since 1900, when Americans were expected to live just 47.3 years [source: Medline Plus]. While the increase is impressive, America is not at the top of the list for life expectancy. Actually, the United States ranks behind 41 other countries.

Which country's people have the longest life expectancy and why?
