Wait... that explains a lot.

Old Flash, Jorgch Norrie has a love hate relationship with BellGab.
Hez whined about us hateurz before, It didn't make a dent in this forums traffic.
Hez showered the site with several shout-outs, it didn't make a dent in forum traffic.
If that is any indication of C2C success... signs don't look so good. During hard times, he may be letting his true character shine through. Which isn't news to most of us, who've seen beyond all his hand waving about how nice of a guy he is. If someone has to tell you how nice they are... well ummmm.

Jorgch and crew have taken C2C to new lows. Even though they are played on many more radio stations now, than when Art was head of the show. They have far fewer ears tuned in now. Don't doubt Norriez fear and desperation, when voiced from the horses mouth. It makes for good drama. As The Ride Turns.

Whilst I perused the internet I came across some stuff. I thought I'd post it for the benefit of those who do not know, or have not seen this stuff......

Art Bell interview with Time magazine

(Reporter) :Here's some more from the day I spent with Art Bell:

• What does Bell think of the man who replaced him on Coast, George Noory? He's a lazy broadcaster, Bell says, indifferent to what he puts on the air. "This fellow, half the time, he doesn't sound like he's listening to his guest. He'll come back and ask a question that had just been answered five minutes previously. Or he'll inject a complete non sequitur. The guest will be talking about Bigfoot, and he'll ask, 'Well, does that have something to do with angels?'" Worse, "there's a lot more politics in it, a lot more medical crap in it, a lot of New Age-y crap that I won't touch. I prefer science." Bell hopes competition will raise all boats. "It better—otherwise George'll be a submarine." Fans seem to agree: The first Google autocomplete hit on Noory's name is "George Noory sucks."

Art Bell - Criticism of declining quality, and declining ratings under George Noory

• Art Bell stated that the decision to come out of retirement was entirely his, a response to the direction that George Noory has taken the show—closer to political talk radio rather than the open-minded exploration of the supernatural that defined Bell's tenure as host. Noory, Bell says, has "ruined" the franchise of Coast to Coast AM. Bell has publicly stated on his Facebook that he no longer wishes to be associated with Coast to Coast AM. There are also internet forums which have sprung up that are overwhelmingly critical of Noory hosting Coast to Coast AM.

Let me preface this by saying that I have no idea who has more affiliates and better ratings and more listeners. I have no idea how the whole affiliates and ratings system works in the US. Having said that I imagine that George, having inherited (ie: did not earn it himself) the number one overnight radio show in America, is lucky that his show is now packaged to affiliates with other more popular daytime shows inflating his actual role in earning and keeping the affiliate numbers high. It should be noted that it was Art who built this empire from the ground up starting from one station to over 500. George may live in the castle now but he certainly didn't build or earn it.

Noory unfortunately is a poor caretaker of the Coast to Coast empire. Since Art left, no one has been good enough to take over full-time IMO. Meh. Hope Art gets all the details figured out before July.

Well I think Larry King had 450 stations when he was on Mutual & Jim Bohannon couldn't help Larry fix his suspenders though Bohannon does have followers and is listed on Talkers. I used to listen to Larry every night before there was Art Bell. When Larry left I didn't listen to Bohannon. It was Larry people listened to much like Art today.

I find it really difficult for adult people acting like five year olds. Take George. He has a very successful radio program. It may suck and he is terrable at it, but he makes really good cash at it. He has it made. Damn George, take the money and get a date with a real woman. All trolling Art does is give Art free publicity. Art likes it. Controversy sells! Just look at this forum. Just last week, George brought Bellgab to national attention????? Maybe not directly, but how much research does it take to discover who he was talking about? One man's vilification is another man's free PUBLICITY! OH, The five years olds I'm referring to is not you folks in the forum, but those that use a widely syndicated radio program for personal vendettas. I guess he thinks he's talking on a CB radio. 10-4 George?

Perhaps someone with more knowledge of radio can correct me here, but aren't the big media corporations starting to package shows now? Like a deal where "if you want Rush or Sean, you gotta take George" kinda thing? That could contribute to the number of affiliates.

Not a bad idea. Haven't done it since about 1996.

I'll call him as "George from Missouri" and play his voice back to him. He'll probably figure it out in a few years.

As annoying as some of Art's premature announcements can sometimes be, I have to say I have really enjoyed how reinvigorated this forum has become.  It takes me back to spring 2013, when, if you skipped a couple of days, you had about 15 pages to catch up on.  Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself too much though.
