Well, I personally don't think he cares what any of us thing about his hair.  It's hair.  If he showed us a picture of his feet, I bet some of you would find something wrong with the way he cuts his toenails too.  As my grandma would say...Uff da!

I started going gray around 18 and it's pretty much white now. It sucks, it ages you about ten years or so, and I'd love to be able to get away with dying it, but it's a pretty douchey thing to do for a guy.

I can see an actor doing it for a role. Other than that? No. Especially if you try to deny it.

Here's a 60+ year old man making the same fashion choices as the kids in college I used to smoke weed with. It's completely absurd. Especially since when you listen to him it's obvious his image is that of an affable old guy. All his promo pics have him gradually greying. Now he's dying his hair jet black? Is he doing it to impress the grey hair ladies in his audience or is it an LA thing or what? It's so disingenuous, illogical and silly that it insults my intelligence and it annoys me. I'm telling you guys, as Noory's hair goes as goes the show. Look at his promo pics. As his hair has gotten darker and he's tried to look younger, the show has gotten worse and worse.

I think it's more of the LA thing.  That's why Noory likes being off the Pacific, in the Pacific, and now near the Pacific.  He thinks he's one of the Hollywood crowd and has an "image" to maintain. :  Too bad he can't grasp his real image.

I think it only becomes odd when you continue dying beyond an age where you  physiologically should be incapable of producing jet black hair.

As I have posted on Facebook and as I promised on this Forum, as soon as I am released from the
Sirius/XM NC I will begin streaming my own show. The article so well written about JBW only confirms
what I have felt for YEARS.

I might have better luck asking Julie for a release of my NC.......I say this because while I was trying
to talk to Sirius/XM two days after I left, I simply could not understand why they were not responding
to my offer to return if they would only allow streaming until Sirius fixed their problems, when I finally did
get a response it was to inform me that Coast would be taking my spot on channel 104.

It is my feeling that "they" want me kept off the air, ho hum, I will fool them by staying healthy and kicking
their ass as soon as I can get free.

Maybe Art is better off getting away from those jerks at SiriusXM.  They completely disabled the 90-minute time out the other day during Howard Stern’s Birthday Bash Broadcast and for the Superbowl.  I tested it myself and ALL the channels that I tested (music and talk) had NO timeout for well over 24 hours.  Then the timeout returned the other day.  They couldn’t even extend it to 4 hours for DM.   

It’s funny how for free we can listen to commercial FM stations on tunein with no timeout, but if you’re paying for SiriusXM streaming you have to put up with a 90-minute timeout during a 3-4 hour talk show. 

So what is one to do, buy a portable unit to avoid the timeout?  Oh that’s right, they don’t make portable units anymore!

I think the XMp3i was the last one they made.  I guess all the new ones are actually internet radios, they want to push everyone to the online streaming with the timeouts unless they have a car radio.

it really is a strange new day when a broadcast entity wants you to stop listening to their product each 90 minutes.  if i pay for their shitty, irrelevant service, i should be able to press play and let it roll 24/7 if i choose.  it's none of their business how i listen to the service or for how long, so long as i'm paying.  what a horrid company.

Haha.  Yeah, a radio that assumes I'm not listening.  Thanks internet!  That's as bad as Pandora.  Damn thing waits til I'm totally tied up doing something and enjoying the music and then it just up and shuts off.  I guess bandwidth is money and all, but at least with terrestrial radio, nobody notices but me if I just leave it on.

Sounds like there is a market for a middleware player that controls the xm player and will automatically screen click it every twenty minutes or so. Or automatically sleep after 1 hour.

Speaking totally out of my ass, I think it may be a Middle East thing.  A lot of the leaders from there I see on TV look like they use shoe polish to cover their gray starting around 40.

Somewhere in Time on Saturday had the entire second half of the show with Art bashing on young Bill Clinton. It was interesting to hear Art and the callers try and predict the next 8 years of the presidency, but it also made reminded my that political radio wasn't my thing.

One of the things Art did so well was capture moments in time. Recently SIT has broadcast shows on the 2003 Iraq War. The program really showed how good Art was at bringing his audience in to make interesting radio about important subjects of the day.

Most of us tend to think of Art as a paranormal guy, but I heard a repeat show last night that reminded me just how entertaining and comical Art could be in talking about everyday life.

Art opened a special "date from Hell" line and asked callers to relate dating horror stories.  He had me laughing out load with his quips to the callers.  The funniest of the lot was from a young woman who claimed to be a centerfold model.  Her story involved an evening spent with a man who was apparently very flexible and was able to.........that's when Art pulled the plug on the call, but not before milking the story for all it was worth.  His comments and questions during her call were as funny as any stand-up routine.

Then there was the night of 9/11 and the days following.  Art canceled all the guests and took calls.  It was like a national therapy session.  I've never heard anything like it.
