Here's my two cents ... adjusted for inflation I think you wind up owing me money but never mind ... about Art and Sirius and Coast.  And Noory. Sure let's throw that asshole in the mix. 

Sirius wanted to add Coast to their roster but didn't want to pay them their asking price.  So they sign Art and that gives them some leverage in the negotiation.  Sirius can say "we'd love to have Coast come aboard but we already have Art".  Now Sirius can get Coast for little or nothing.  Art was an after thought. 

I'm not saying that I KNOW this is a fact.  This is just speculation.  Like 99% of this site.

I know for a fact that Sirius dumped c2c last ~Aug-Sept. And Sirius had been cleaning house for sometime prior to that.

My guess is c2c was a backup/booty call if Art didn't work out.

Agreed. I don't think there was anything nefarious going on with C2CAM and Sirius. Sure C2CAM wanted Art to fail but I don't think they had a hand in it. If Art didn't walk we'd still be listening to Dark Matter for 4 hours a night now and C2CAM would probably not be on Channel 104 on Sirius.

I'm back to my daily listening routine. I mentioned on the GabCast that for the first few months after Art's departure I couldn't bring myself to listening to his classic shows and likened it to breaking up with a girlfriend and then not being able to listen to "our song" or look at photos of happier times. As they say "time heals all wounds" and like some abused spouse I am back for more. This time will be different. He's changed.

There is a certain sport or theatre to it. It's sometimes nice to listen just to see how wrong and far off they were with their predictions. The most frustrating thing is that Art never kept score.

Dames is pretty much is a "put up or shut up" mode now, however.  When he was on with George a week or so ago, he said 2014 was the year he'd been pointing to all these years.  Financial collapse, large scale civil unrest, the government killing Americans with all those billions of round of ammo they've been buying, etc.   If come 1 Jan 2015 the US isn't in total meltdown, it's going to be impossible for him (or his shills) to talk his way of those predictions.

If he's wrong (and I'd bet a dollar he is), I look for him to pull a "Kathleen Keating" and just fade away from his public personna.

Dames has made countless failed predictions. Dames Claimed Hale-Bopp UFO would bring fungus spores that would destroy planet in 1998. In 1993 Aliens were supposed to make themselves known in the desert. 1997 north Korean launch of a nuke to south.  ETC ETC ETC.

You see Dames has no problem with letting dates pass by, without predicted events. He resurfaces a couple months later with a new outrageous claim. Right now its a "killshot", in 2015 it will be an asteriod or something else. Failed prediction have not, and never will slow down Dames. Also even with all his failed predictions, Noory and company keep putting him on. There is still a market for him no matter how many failed predictions he makes.

He has used dates before. Nothing new, always wrong.

He declared n korea would nuke S korea before  that winter 15 years ago.

My personal favorite was his claim he could only see darkness past 2012, end of world.

Yes, he track record is exactly that. Although he will occasionally call a hit, on something that is vaguely related but not as he predicted.

I.E. A disease that would wipe out mankind which originated from hale bopp. Dames claimed a African crop disease which has been there over 150 years as a HIT. Obviously, he was flat out wrong, but he will never admit it.

Then there is all his lies on missing kids. He says he has worked with families of missing kids only to have there parents say they never even heard of him. That upsets my that dames exploits missing kids for recognition. 

Dames has been caught in lies over and over. Passed time tables again and again, yet Noory keeps booking him.
