What a treat last night was.  The chat thread in my FB group went wild.

I think we all need to start being nicer to Art to encourage him to guest host more often.  It would be great if he could host the show once a week, on a random basis (to confuse the stalker).
Art's gonna do what Art wants to do.

Hopefully, he still wants to be on the radio once in a while.  It sounded like he was having fun last night.  I know I was.

My best guess: He'll keep doing the Friday open line shows and let Heather handle the guests.

I think Heather would welcome the relief. 3 months and last night was only her second night off.

That would be awesome. But I would like to hear him interview an interesting guest once in a while. Perhaps we can collectively suggest some interesting guests and the most popular suggestions/votes can be interviewed by Art?  Sort of make the show more interactive with his fans. Just an idea.

Me too! I think it would be great to have him back full-time but I have to think that some of the reason for this transition is because Art really doesn't want to work full-time on anything anymore. I don't blame him. He's 70; and while that's not ancient by today's standards maybe he wants to more time for himself now to explore other interests before he does get feeling too ancient. Any Art is good Art to me. It was great to see how pumped everyone was here last night. Good calls and good chat made that 3 hours fly by at supersonic speed!  8)

Before anybody gets all confused, MV took the posts from the Art Bell thread and the MITD thread and created an Art Bell 031116 thread.

Praise MV!
Too late. :o

Like i said last night , i think if Art did come back doing 1-2 shows every week everyone would be content. and i do think that would bring the sub count back up too.

Hmm. Not as confused as those who think he had one in the first place.
Stop that, Yorkshire, or I'll take you to Barfly's wood shed! :o

It would be great to have Art on a regular basis but I just didn't get that vibe last night.  He started out by saying he was filling in for HW, to give her a break, and then didn't apparently say anything about future plans regarding his role with the show.  A lot is said by what is not said.

Who knows with Mr. Bell.  He's been all fired-up to do a show full time in the past, on his terms, only to have it all dissipate in no time at all.  Art's going to do what he wants to do and it never seems to be one constantly consistent desire.

I missed the early part of the show, so it's interesting to hear that he says he's the one filling in. I did hear Keith Rowland's pitch for subs saying that Heather was the one filling in. Mixed messages. It just allows them, for now, to keep calling the show MITD, like it's still Art's show, while Art hedges and hedges.

This sure isn't Art at the MITD site.

I think the best that can be hoped for, at this point, is Art finally decides to return on some regular basis, maybe once a week, and actually sticks with it for awhile.  Otherwise, I just see last night as Art trying to help out HW, with maybe some random appearances in the future, with a similar intent.  Only Mr. Bell knows for sure, and that seems subject to change.

Art has an anti-stalking drone now. He's not too worried about it  ;)

Art, if you are reading this and I hope that you are. I miss the big shows that you used to do about breaking paranormal news where the experts or the people involved in the event would come on and you would allow them to explain everything that happened. I really enjoyed the show yesterday, it was like you never left. I hope you can do a big show about something important again like you used to do in the old days, those were always the best.

Yep... He was not cranky like he was during most of the main run of MITD.
He was more like the first few weeks now, which just shows that it quickly gets old to him when he is hosting every day.

Art's drone video is stunning. Especially the horizon shot at the end. Whoa.

I agree:  not a sign of crankiness last night.  The break obviously did him good.

How about Art hosting weekends?

Yeah, the drone video was pretty cool. Seems like a fun hobby to have.

Very cool. Art looks like an ant when he turns the camera downwards. I wonder what kind of camera it is, a go-pro or?

Gruntled

Enjoyed hearing Art Friday with the open lines show.
I don't mind political talk from Art but really like the science, paranormal topics best.
As when he was talking about the "gravity waves" and Einstein being correct, it was like he had never been off the air.
I don't mind Heather at all, and she has had some good shows, but hope Art does more shows at MITD.
I guess the allure of Art being on once in awhile is going to work for me.

Just heard Fridays show. Very disappointed that Art just talked about politics the whole time. I know he kept saying it was exciting, but it wasn't, it was as dull as dish water.
I won't be renewing my Time Traveller any time soon.

Awe inspiring! And it gains altitude fast!  Who would have thought even 10 years ago that this level of technology would be in the hands of the average public? I could see that there would be some practical applications for this well - a grassroots neighborhood watch and security where the public owns and operates the choppers at a fraction the cost of operating a helicopter with people in it :)

To Art: We would love to see more drone adventures, especially those that are 3 miles away or at maximum altitude or near the Black Mailbox ;)

Yeah.  I've had it, too.  An appearance every now and again will not draw me to listen, especially when the idea may be to eliminate boredom in his life and to boost Heather's ratings.

I'd say it's a go-pro, considering the picture quality. Art has an impressive setup.

I believe it's the "StalkerCam' manufactured by PsyCo Industries. Bloody hell, for a man who was hounded off the air, now he's doing on-air rallies for Donald Trump and giving anyone with internet access a bird's eye view of his property.

Caught the time traveler show and it was good to hear Art almost live again.

Great drone video.  Guess I need to buy the lot next to his and we can have dueling ham stations ..

Coming up, Art penetrates Area 51 with his drone and calls into Heather live, as he's shot down by an even bigger USAF drone.
