•   Now that he’s back four nights a week he’ll again have the ability to attract celebrity guests  from the entertainment industry.

Please God, nooooooooo.  That's one of my main complaints about the car-wreck that is current Coast.  What the hell do D-list "celebrities" have to do with the show?

I'm sure Art could get better celebrities than Snoory, but still.  There are all kinds of talk radio and tv programs one can tune into to hear their inane, self-aggrandizing bs.

I wonder what his 'sign on' will be. If I recall correctly, he was the one who originally said "I bid you all good evening, good morning, wherever you may be - Across the nation, around the world" and George stole it when he took over.

SIT's also good advertising for Art.  Every time I listen to SIT, my first reaction is "damn, this guy is sooooo much better than that Noory character.  I sure wish Art still had a show...."

That is my feeling too. I understand it's cheap programming for Premrat, but at what cost? Sort of like NBC showing Letterman reruns in Leno's time slot on Saturday night, simply because it's cheap. Maybe Premrat figures that damage has already been done.That said, giving Art free air time, allowing everyone that listens to C2C to compare Dave and Art, with Art now an alternative, doesn't seem too bright to me.

It's like Chinese water torture. You'd think that Fanthorpe has a contractual obligation to tell that story each time that he comes on the show...

Not only that, but while giving it that Muttley the cartoon dog laugh as well...

Nah, that seems pretty legit to me. You've got to remember that a few years ago Dames said he had started remote viewing lost gold, and told Art he'd send him some treasure maps. I'd guess that was probably about $500 million right there. Then that guy in Texas who said he killed 2 bigfoots sent Art a map to where he buried the bodies. I'd guess a single bigfoot body to be worth about $300 million, so with two that's $600 million. Then he's got all those little Roswell UFO parts. You know people want that stuff.  I'd bet each one is worth about $100 million. Who knows how many he's got? Does he still own KNYE? That's probably a few thousand right there.  Then he's got at least 2 time machines, and if even one of those works he can get all the money he wants/needs. If we assume that neither of them work then you can bet that John Titor probably faxed him a load of stock tips, and when you've got a guy like Titor on your side, you've basically got a license to print money.  The more I think about it, 2.5 Billion is probably WAY under estimated.

George can keep Billy Mumy and his other "special" celebrities. But Dan Ackroyd is a great guest on the topic of UFOs, and I'm hoping he turns up on Art's show. Of course, Ackroyd isn't a D-List celebrity, but Knapp got Shirley MacLaine and Art had Willie Nelson so I'm thinking he'll pull in other celebrities who actually have something interesting to add to the conversation, besides their latest book/cd/whatever.

I'm okay with a limited amount of well selected celebrities... especially if they have a strange story to tell.  "Celebrities" for celebrities sake, god, I hope not.  However, this is Art we're talking about.  We all know his opinion of Dave's move to L.A. after all.  Hopefully his producer is of a similar mind.

I checked it out yesterday, but I don't even recall what the show was.  It obviously wasn't very memorable.  I'm getting ready to head out right now, so I'll tune in and see what's on.  I think Rollye used to be on that channel, but since she left, I haven't listened to it.

Dave likes to have his idea of "celebrities" on because he thinks it shows he's important and has the Hollywood connections to bring them on the show.   It's his lame version of name-dropping.  Plus, Dave has to have some kind of juvenile interest in them, such as Mumy.  And if they're a lady, it's gives creeper Dave an opportunity to hit on them.    As always, it's all about Dave and to heck with the show and the listeners.  Dave has big self-esteem issues.  Dave is such a Dick....errr, a Jorch.

I listened to it the other day. Two words came to mind: "young guys", not that that's bad, but it seemed to be the direction morning (comedian Pete Dominick)  and early afternoon took, afternoon moreso and not at all memorable. I have a feeling Art's show is going to be the anchor for the channel.
