Nah, that seems pretty legit to me. You've got to remember that a few years ago Dames said he had started remote viewing lost gold, and told Art he'd send him some treasure maps. I'd guess that was probably about $500 million right there. Then that guy in Texas who said he killed 2 bigfoots sent Art a map to where he buried the bodies. I'd guess a single bigfoot body to be worth about $300 million, so with two that's $600 million. Then he's got all those little Roswell UFO parts. You know people want that stuff.  I'd bet each one is worth about $100 million. Who knows how many he's got? Does he still own KNYE? That's probably a few thousand right there.  Then he's got at least 2 time machines, and if even one of those works he can get all the money he wants/needs. If we assume that neither of them work then you can bet that John Titor probably faxed him a load of stock tips, and when you've got a guy like Titor on your side, you've basically got a license to print money.  The more I think about it, 2.5 Billion is probably WAY under estimated.

If anyone ever wondered about Art's mastery of the interview craft -- just listen to the below show at about the 1:25 mark on ... absolutely incredible ... gets told stuff and asks follow-up after follow-up and disects what he's being told until we (and he) gets a grasp upon what's being told by the guest. The show is about computers and technological advances. Kinda chuckled when Art was amazed by the blazing 1.7Ghz speed being achieved... but it was from way back in '96...

I may be wrong. but  I believe Dave Bowman was the astronaut from 2001: A Space Odyssey.  Who's the other Dave we know? That's right, Dave Noorie. I think it's a coded message letting us know that Dave Noorie's going to be producing Art's new show! Sounds good to me. Have Strieber running the board and Hoagland screening calls, and this pig will fly.

I listened for even longer and still do via streamlink (as noted above) and gave dave the benefit of the doubt for a while -- He does have a very good radio voice regarding tone and delivery and could likely make a living doing voiceovers (if he could work on his enunciation a bit) --- but he is an absolutely HORRIBLE interviewer ... pays no attention at all to what his guest is saying and interjects with "well that's nice" "yes absolutely" and such and is on to his next cue card question without regard to what his guest has just told him.

I used to be in radio ... and when in broadcasting school I was taught to listen to what the interviewee was saying and (when needed) ask a follow-up question based on what the guest had just said|revealed... i.e. paraphrase/recap what was said and ask a follow-up for the guest to extrapolate upon. NOT just recite a canned response like "well that's interesting" or "I bet" with no regard whatsoever to what your guest has just told your listeners. THAT's what REALLY pisses me off about dave. Apparently he's too busy reading his email - or surfing porn or thinking up late-night snacks for him and Tommie - to pay attention to what he and his listening audience is being told by his guests.

And his canned, cue-card intro/bio of each and EVERY fucking guest -- followed by "SOooooo -- how did you get started as a *fillintheblank*..." REALLY torks my ass!!!!

Art has the art and gift of being an actual interviewer and pays attention to what's being said and genuinely cares about his show and its contents. I heard him say on a very old SIT show I was listening to just the other night something to the effect that he does his "homework preparing for his guests and that's the hard and time-consuming part"... and that the interviews are the EASY part. THAT's a major facet of what puts Art lightyears ahead of Dave.

But of course most of you already know this .... please excuse the lengthy rant -- I just HAD to vent a bit..... 

Canned is the word for that guy.  Ugh.

And yes, I must agree.  I am not in radio, I just dreamed of it all my life, loved it all my life.  What amazes me is Art can conduct an interview with anyone, on any topic; it's fun, interesting, and above all engaging.  "A master makes it look easy", Art does, it's effortless when he does it, because as you pointed out, he does the heavy lifting before showtime, like any person would who gives a shit. 

Sometimes I heard what's-his-fuck say things that make me wonder of he even knows he's on the air.

Because Dames is patently, obviously a fraud. There's no such thing as a real psychic or remote viewer -- it's fabricated nonsense (just like Catholicism, etc.) so it all about the delivery, not the content. Dames doesn't believe a word he says, he's in on the joke. It's a 25-year piece of performance art.

As for Kaku... boring as paste. His books are boring and his performances are boring. Same with Neil deGASS Tyson. Give me Feynman or Godel any day over these milquetoast clowns.

Too bad Feynman is no longer around.  Putting him and Art together would have been fantastic.  He could have been a REAL science adviser for Art, as opposed to Dave's hallucinating, Accutron fondling C2C "science adviser."  I wonder if Art's really going to have The Hoaxster on his new show.  Of course, he goes way back with Art but I don't know how close he really was to Art and how much he may have worn out his welcome.  I'll bet it would REALLY get to Dave, though, if his supposed "science advisor" started popping-up on "Dark Matter."

He's a great choice! He's not called the Canadian Art Bell for nuttin'. His one gig as guest host was better than *any* of Dave Noory's Coasts, even during the era when he cared and tried. It's a shame that Noory never had a Paula Deen moment.

PremRat, like any other radio company, is in the business of making money, not radio.  The SiT broadcasts are the cheapest programming they can put on the air, and i doubt very much that their advertising revenue is any less than during any other program.  There's no good business reason right now for them to stop the broadcasts.
