yeah but most people don't need one of the satellite radios, best to use your existing computer and internet devices (like smartphones, tablets, etc) with an internet-only subscription.
the radios are good if you need to listen to the show live in a car, but not as good for home use where you need an antenna outside or by a window pointing to the south...

That's the route I'm taking with an Android.  I've got a nice little Denon stereo set-up that I just plug the Android smart phone into a jack on the Denon when I want to play a station from somewhere in the country, via an IHeart app on the Android.  I'm listening to 700 WLW out of Cincinnati right now and it's as if I'm listening with normal AM reception even though I'm over a thousand miles from Cincy.  I plan to put the Sirius app on the Android and listen to Art in similar fashion.  Technology is so cool.  8)

Read between the lines. That mail-order-husband service he signed up for decades ago finally paid off for him.

No commercials when I am paying to listen.

As it is Art Bell will be working four days a week for a total of 12 hours!

Friday and weekends to be announced.  Bell gets to relax.

I imagine SiriusXM attorneys had Bell sign a penalty laden contract should he bail on them -- as is his history.

I already have SiriusXM satellite and will hold off with Internet radio until Bell announces his weekend schedule.

Dark Matter might not be on the air weekends.

Bell is way too silent about pay to listen to commercials.  ArtBell.com is displaying 20 years old stuff (lots of dark matter that is old worn-out stuff.  Nothing new.  Just fill-in).  Art's first commercial just might be for" Art Bell's Pizza Punch" -- paying customers are still waiting for delivery.

Buyer beware.  The new Bell will not "ring" like the old Bell.

In deed we all will be taken for a ride.  I just hope the ride justifies the cost Art is charging.

Lester's business has been very good!

George, is that you?

Fort Rock moves to PRC just as Art returns.  after years(?) of false predictions that Art would soon come back. that's just funny.  oh and Fort Rock ... i would seriously rein in the scorpion army references when you get to PRC.  they don't have a sense of humor.

Well crap... I have been shown brilliance. How can anyone refute this masterpiece that rivals Gödel and Tarski?

When you go to the Ho Hum Productions page link at the bottom then click the Radio button (http://www.hohumproductions.com/radio.php) you'll find a nice endorsement from Dave...

"Working with Roger is a delight. He understands audiences and what a client needs...the best".

This all looks to be on the up and up to me. /sarcasm  :o

QUESTION FOR THE GROUP:
I'M RELOCATING TO PRC CHINA TO TEACH ENGLISH. HAS ANYONE FOUND A WAY FOR THOSE OUTSIDE OF THE USA AND CANADA TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE ART BELL SHOW VIA INTERNET RADIO? THANKS!

This is the definition of irony.

This guy would have given his right nut to hear Art on the air again and now he won't be able to not because he can't use the SiriusXM App internationally but because American satellite radio will surely be blocked in China.

See what happens to little boys that cry wolf? Karma's a bitch, beeyatch.

Scam indeed, or disinformation or  or  or.......

premrat has just re-upped dave's contract and have invested in his future.  I do not believe it is a stretch to imagine that they might attempt to poison the excitement of Art's return.  There is certainly no love loss between this site and C2C or premrat, we have fun at their expense we should expect likewise.  I actually think there will be more agent provocateurs as Art's start date nears.

Possible...  but one wrong step with a paper trail, and they'd be sued into the stratosphere for tampering or sabotage.  I'd hope the management and attorneys at a large media company would know better.

There are services you can pay something like $5 per month to that will allow you to use a US IP address (so you are technically listening from  the US). Not sure what the Chinese would say about it.

Weren't they the originators of the fake Art Bell letter about how he hates the Philippine people etc? I mean, I wouldn't be surprised...

Surely Art is allowed a toilet break. Or should we force him to wear adult diapers? Perhaps they can be his main sponsors. What better way to show your commitment to the product than to go number 2s whilst on the air.

I'm sure some members can donate their mountain dew bottles. They have no need for them now since we aren't watching that loading bar at artbell.com. Just give'r a good rinse.

My random intro suggestion. The synth is key, so I'd say a few seconds before the drums kick in onward to the synth. That would be great underneath Art's voice.

yes there is, here is a link to the details on that package:
http://www.siriusxm.com/subscriptions/packages/sirius/newssportstalk

But it requires an extra cost satellite radio and its not a month-to-month subscription so you have to pay for several months in advance and to get the internet option you have to pay an extra $3.50 a month for a total of $13.49/month and you could get the full internet package for a similar price with a one-year subscription anyway.
Having the internet option/package is the way to go for listening at home because then you can use any PC or many smartphones or tablet devices via wireless network, unless you are driving a lot at the time and need to listen in a car.
Also only the internet option supports the on-demand feature for listening to archived shows.

I plan on getting the free 30day trial (only on the internet package) just before Sept 16 and if there are no free download alternatives (like free torrents) available before that runs out, just call to cancel and they should give you other lower priced non-advertised subscription choices, that should be effectively $5-8/month for a 6month or one year subscription. I wouldn't sign up with the regular prices or let it lapse to the regular price when the special subscription price period runs out, just call to cancel again and get them to offer another lower priced option.

Step No. Two has now been completed, towards my gearing up to subscribing to Sirius.  I just cancelled my Netflix subscription.  Between that and buying half my groceries from either The Dollar Tree or The 99 Cents Only Store (pity you poor Easterners who don't have that -- it's the best!), I'll be able to afford to subscribe to Art's new show.  That and I plan to stop at Starbucks and Jamba Juice 1-2 times *less* a month:  just one of those stops costs me, usually, at least $3, most of the time $4.

細野晴臣 コズミックサーフィン Haruomi Hosono - COSMIC SURFIN

Here is a very "out there" song called "Cosmic Surfing". I stumbled on it by chance and it is very "synth" sounding but I think it would make for a good song because

1) It is very unique. If they were to use it, it would be only associated with the show really. Like the C2C intro music. (I am not implying this should be intro music)

2) Very few people in the US ever heard it or anything like it

3) It sounds sci-fi"ey" in a very old fashioned late 70s way (when it was made).

4) It is very catchy. I don't exactly know what I would label this music as but it isn't what I listen to and I like this song a lot.

For the people saying C2C is going to sabatoge arts new show. How would they do this? Call his show and say Noory rules... That's be hilarious.

ItsOver

I think the only way they could sabotage Art's show would be to replace Art with Dave Noorie.

Honestly, Sirius is a douchy enough company to outsource it's advertising dept there.
