Right, zero aknowledgement of the years of appearances by RCH.  Just move on to the next "friend".

so what happened to Hoagland? Talk about throwing someone under the bus...

NOORYisms 2015

Nice collection, Grandma. Here's a few just from last night.

'By then, [New Horizons] will be at its closest ebb to Pluto'

'It's ratcheting out of control'

'Subsewent' [Subsequent]

'We are with the amazing Mark Dice's book'

'When you were writing this book, were you looking over your shoulder? [Try that. See how quickly the typos mount up] I mean, you stumble on some pretty thick toes when you do this book'

Skunk Ape

NOORYisms 2015

. . . We'll do two birds at one stone. 2:45
(probably from late January/Feb. 1. iPad automatically changes to the current date each time the note is revised.)

Feb. 2, Noory has a friend with health issues who "smokes like a fish".

Feb. 4- Wed. Night, Thurs morn
"Good luck with the papers, let's hope they're read by some peer reviewed scientists."

March 11
The people who surrounded themselves around him, were they . . .

Boy, I'd like to see the Akashic records, wouldn't you?

March 16
Was it controversial about his length of birth? (The Chinese man who lived 256 years)

April. 15-16    . . . Subsequently, before that. . .

May  11, '15    They're pretty good capitalists, aren't they, for theirselves!
(Yes, theirselves, and try typing that with autocorrect.)

May 18     Gosh, where's Jimmy Hoffa when you need him? Of course, we know where he is.

July 9.   . . . a rags from riches story

Referring to the caller, Peter, "we need more Peters out there spreading . . .   (Last hour, about 13-15 minutes in. Didn't here what those Peters were supposed to be spreading around, as I was lmao.)
Thanks for posting these! Nooryisms always make me smile. As a matter of fact,I would like to have a desk calendar with a `Nooryism of the day` that I could enjoy all year. GNS

Thank you Grandma and NoMoreNoory for posting these. Always good for a laugh but some are real head scratchers as to how he comes up with them.  ???

Even Vladimir likes it!

George is more like to get an invitation to be on RCH's show than he is to be invited to the Bohemian Club.

Quote from: Guy From V on July 13, 2015, 09:46:20 PMZimmerman has been a staple of John Batchelor's nightly show for a long time discussing current space-related events.  Batchelor may look and sound like a gay Mr. Magoo mixed with Marvin the Martian in a bowtie but he's a sharp interviewer who knows a lot about a wide range of subjects from history and current events.   Zimmerman seems pretty mismatched for C2C.  Has he been on already and I missed it...I hope tonight is his first because the quality whiplash going from Batchelor's to uh..Dave's(?) show might be hilariously lethal.
At least once I can recall his going almost immediately from Batchelor to C2C.  Might've been an hour between, maybe less.

Quote from: NoMoreNoory on July 13, 2015, 09:35:54 PMDave increasingly spends his time attacking science and scientists,
If you call that "attacking": Mumble, mumble scientist mumble, mumble science, mumble....

expat

How ironic that C2C appoints a new science adviser and, on the same night, gives air-time to one of the most unscientific guests of all -- that utter loony Michael Salla. Extraterrestrial "bases" on the moons of Jupiter and Saturn -- yeah, Michael, and my aunt Matilda is the Pope.

Robert

Quote from: Juan Cena on July 13, 2015, 11:14:16 PMYep, child sacrifice talk.

Dave tries to pretend he's horrified of such talk.
Do you know for sure that he's not?

My interests tend to become fetishes after a while.  I persist in looking at aspects of them long after I've given up trying to do anything productive w them.  I kept on doing research on cable TV regulation (esp. saving info on it) years after I wrote my sponsored paper.  I keep searching for info related to marketing bubble bath after I've stopped trying to make $ off my patented formula.  I keep solving Lost years after my friend's TV show finished its run.  I find out a friend is interested in a subject, I keep feeding them info on it after they've stopped looking themselves.

So maybe Noory's horrified, but can't put it down.  We know he can easily "put down" his show because he neglects it constantly, but maybe this is one of the few topics he's just interested in.

Well, you've eaten smoked fish, haven't you?

Now you've done it, giving me a reason to tune in: waiting for him to talk about someone who drinks like a chimney.

I've heard a lot of these too, but usu. when I'm so drowsy I forget them by morning.  Thanks to those who are saving them.

Yes good ones all.  Btw I think last nite I may have heard the term "scientistic", but I can't confirm this as I was only half-listening which is the best I can do these days, and that only for like ten mins.

There is a word that may not have gotten wide usage or acceptance yet, "scientism", for which I suppose the adj. to be "scientistic".  I see both words are in Wiktionary.

I'm listening to it again.  He's kind of long winded.

Oh yes, very long winded, our Hoagie.

Playing devil's advocate, a bit, but I reckon the whole bet business was tenuous at best. RCH put Nooryman on the spot in public and sort of extorted the promise of a guest-host slot in a rather devious manner.

The way Hoagface is talking now, well, it's like Gnoory welshed on a legal contractual arrangement.... as opposed to a light-hearted, throw-away comment at a public engagement; Noofus, being an obtuse doofus, probably laughed it off and didn't give it a second thought.

In summary, Hoagtard's behaviour in this whole hilarious episode is a bit rum, but Noory still sucks [donkey boners (probably)].

And as I said, just a spot of devil's advocacy...

Unrelated - just listened to last night's show: Michael Salla, now there's a man with a voice so dull he could bore the nose off an elephant.

If it's a legit word I can guarantee you that's still not what he was trying to say.  Might have gotten away with one on a technicality there.   ;)
